Thank you for a very informative video! My audiologist said that she can't do telecare because the hospital she works for has concerns about privacy issues. I don't understand what that could be if the remote connection is directly between my audiologist and myself as she remotely adjusts my hearing aid settings. Do you know of any security or hacking concerns there might be when doing telecare? If there aren't any, what info can I share with her (a page from Phonak's website?) that she can forward to the hospital to eliminate their concerns?

Hi there! The remote support feature of the app is very secure, it's essentially as confidential as a phone call. This sounds like an internal Hospital decision in regard to their specific privacy protocols. There isn't anything in particular that I can think to share with you in regard to the security of Phonak Remote Support, but if I find anything then I will be sure to forward it to you!

I've prepped for my remote session appointment but we couldn't connect. We tried everything. I have strong internet, phone and lgha were all charged up. Each time I connected I was just waiting in the waiting room and it kept saying the audiologist wasn't connected, but he was. Nothing worked. Any advice?

I get my hearing aids from the Veterans Administration. I just got new Phonak Audeo p90"s. The audiologist offered to pair my phone. That is the extent of the support. Everthing I have learned has been from you tube. The VA replaces hearing aids every 5 years and does not offer support or retesting. At my clinic, they are very short staffed and cannot offer an appointment for 2/12 to 3 months, if they will accept you.
Does the VA offer remote support? They gave me no information regarding any follow up. Take these sophisticaed hearing aids and have a nice life.
My Brother in law received his Hearing aids from the VA at my suggestion 4 plus years ago. He has recieved no followup care and he just turned 90.

Hi there! I know that the VA can and will do remote programming but it depends on the specific facility and their staff. I'm not sure what the protocol is and what it takes to request a follow-up visit or remote adjustments, but I know that most VA clinics are incredibly busy and getting appointments can be difficult. If you are in the Phoenix area, we offer services for VA patients who become discouraged by working with the VA, but there are fees for our clinical services. Best of luck!
