NATO troops aren't because they don't want to risk a world war. Unaligned countries are welcome to start a war against a nuclear power if they want. NK just happens to have nukes too. As a very young soldier I served with an officer that fought at the Imjin River. He never talked about his experience except on his farewell parade and then only a few sentences before he became too emotional. " Bodies stacked like cordwood" " so many dead but they still came". N.Korea cares less for troops than Russia I hope his experiences are not repeated in Ukraine.
The US really needs to increase it's manufacturing of all munitions including cluster munitions. I can guarantee that if North Korean troops are used in combat, they all are going to be extremely "freaked out" by drone warfare. This is "if" they are used as military forces.

As a Swiss living in Austria (both neutral countrys) I can tell you that the answer is as easy as it is sad: It's a mixture of conveniance and $$$. There are morally correct people living in these countries, but the politics just don't see any good reason to give up on neutrality, as it a) enables them to keep business as usual with the nice democracies of Ruzzia, China and the lot with the reason of "keeping contact". This is especially important for switzerland as it is one of the biggest money hubs in europe, if not the world. If they start being partisan then suddenly the saudis and other very legitimate rich people would probably get their money out of swiss banks. For Austria it is important as they are still ludicrously dependent on ruzzian oil/gas (+90% in December). There's even a adhesion contract between gazprom and austrias OMV which I think goes up til 2030 of which the content is unknown to the public and seemingly even the politicians. b) is simply more conveniant. Why should we bother about this ukraine stuff? We already donate non letal things and some cash, shouldn't this be enough? We don't want to suddenly care about the morality of (quite) some businesses we did with these as evil labelled people or even take consequences! This could hurt us! We don't like hurting ourselves! c) would give them a target on their back, both locally (the populus really is proud of "its" neutrality) and internationally, as there could suddenly be a reason to attack them. As a very young soldier I served with an officer that fought at the Imjin River. He never talked about his experience except on his farewell parade and then only a few sentences before he became too emotional. " Bodies stacked like cordwood" " so many dead but they still came". N.Korea cares less for troops than Russia I hope his experiences are not repeated in Ukraine.

As a Swiss living in Austria (both neutral countrys) I can tell you that the answer is as easy as it is sad: It's a mixture of conveniance and $$$. There are morally correct people living in these countries, but the politics just don't see any good reason to give up on neutrality, as it
a) enables them to keep business as usual with the nice democracies of Ruzzia, China and the lot with the reason of "keeping contact". This is especially important for switzerland as it is one of the biggest money hubs in europe, if not the world. If they start being partisan then suddenly the saudis and other very legitimate rich people would probably get their money out of swiss banks. For Austria it is important as they are still ludicrously dependent on ruzzian oil/gas (+90% in December). There's even a adhesion contract between gazprom and austrias OMV which I think goes up til 2030 of which the content is unknown to the public and seemingly even the politicians.
b) is simply more conveniant. Why should we bother about this ukraine stuff? We already donate non letal things and some cash, shouldn't this be enough? We don't want to suddenly care about the morality of (quite) some businesses we did with these as evil labelled people or even take consequences! This could hurt us! We don't like hurting ourselves!
c) would give them a target on their back, both locally (the populus really is proud of "its" neutrality) and internationally, as there could suddenly be a reason to attack them. This also stems from some sort of arrogance that either the others will fix it for us or that even in worst case they would be fine, as they didn't do sh*t.
