Russia can hire North Korean cannon fodder to fight in their war, but I guarantee if South Korea sent Ukraine weapons and artillery, Russia would scream and cry about it being an "escalation"
@@dffndjdjdThey supplied artillery shells indirectly. They haven't straight up helped Ukraine militarily. They just sent the US about 500.000 artillery shells after the US had sent it's own to Ukraine. We saw something similar when the US asked Israel for permission to withdraw American artillery shells from Israel that are stored there in case Israel needs them, and they said yes so the US gave them to Ukraine. They haven't directly given military aid though, they (Turkey as well) just haven't vetoed this aid like Switzerland has done for example.
South Korea supplied civilian aid, power grid equipment etc. Plus the military equipment was run through a circular route so as not to break South Korean law.
I get why they did it, but I’m still upset that they were legally obligated to, but Mongolia still didn’t arrest Putin when he visited I’m sure that if Mongolians didn’t have to fear a Russian or Chinese invasion, they would gladly help out since they’re in the perfect spot to damage the Trans-Siberian railway
@@stargazer-elitelike mongolia could do anything. If they even tried, China is going to turn against them. They dont have any ability to arrest Putin, thats just nonsense.
Russia has literally 75,000 miles of rail lines and an entirely separate division of their military solely responsible for their repair and upkeep, left over from Soviet times. Going after the rail lines would be very inefficient. Better to go after the ammunition depots and command centers. There's also the off-chance Ukraine will get some North Korean POWs they could use for prisoner exchanges.

South Korea got a whole state sponsored integration program, where they get partnered-mentored with south koreans in dorm like housing that help them find jobs, get modern schooling, and live normal lives within a community.
The USA has become too concerned about what Russia might do if we do this or that. I really don't blame Ukraine if they seek nuclear weapons. I don't see NATO ever unanimously ever allowing Ukraine to join NATO out of fear of Russia.
I agree! It’s a cruel game. They complain too about corruption in Ukraine (104/180) while Turkey (115/180) is more corrupt. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index
It's not that NATO is afraid of Russia, but they don't want to be the ones actively pulling the trigger. They are waiting for the war to end, preferably in one direction over the other, before they accept Ukraine into NATO to bolster the international brick wall against Russia's maddened expansionist urges as of late, but they don't want to actually put that wall to the test immediately since that'll cause more problems for more nations in the short and long term. Until then, Russia is more afraid of triggering a response from NATO more than the other way around, and that fear is more likely to put the brain dead leader Putin's thumb over a big red button than anything Ukraine does. And if Putin *does* push that nuclear button on Ukraine alone, well that just made him everyone's problem in an instant. It's basically one giant game of chicken that NATO will win without doubt, but the method of approach is going to decide how much damages Russia will cause. The less, the better.
I can’t figure out for the life of me what the problem is with the US and Germany mainly. They help more than most but compared to what they could actually do it’s just drips and drops. They complain, rarely, about corruption in Ukraine but have they checked themselves lately? Have they MET Donald Trump? It drives me crazy.
Germany is still kind of shellshocked from WWII, this permeates our politics regarding Ukraine (that is why we highly preferred sending Gepards, IRIS-T, Strela and other MANPADS, and Patriot systems that cannot be used in an offensive role, e.g.). There are politicians unaffected by this effect, but they are spread between parties and the opposing fascist AfD and populist/communist BSW stand firmly with Russia for the sake of "peace".
North Korea never sends its people out without getting paid - not construction workers, not soldiers. North Korea needs the outside world to survive, and human resource is one of the resources it uses for trade. No, North Korea doesn't have the finances to pay their soldiers to fight in a foreign war. In fact, they don't pay their soldiers at all. They are only given allowances. All of the 'pay' is given to the state apparatus to fill North Korea's coffers. Slava Ukraini!
Tell me just one instance when North Korea sent their soldiers to fight outside their borders! Did you bite in this man bullshit? Use your freaking brains ffs.....
I spent time with South Korean Marines in the mid 1980's in their country, South Korea is a nice place with kind people, Their military is pretty hard core and brave. The North Koreans are small, thin and mostly starved from birth, not to mention not very well trained by western standards.
To the point of Ukraines natural resources: I honestly always believed that Ukraines rich deposits of rare metal were the actual reason Russia invaded.
@@jacobnoelle8428 they don’t appear to care about people despite huge demographic problems. Yes, they just do not want the USA & Allies making (& breaking, as desired) the rules…they want that position.
Why would Ukraine need to choose between either joining NATO or making its own nukes and restoring its status as a nuclear power to guarantee its security, when it could do both, as it should? Two security guarantees are better than one. Relying on NATO only for security could prove unreliable sometime in the future, and NATO gains another nuclear power as an ally.
@@virginiaoflaherty2983 Living in a NATO country, I'd much rather have them on our side than not myself. NATO really doesn't want Ukraine as an enemy, on the side of Russia. There's a reason Russia wants it so badly. As a Russian saying goes: "Russia is nothing without Ukraine."
@@scipioafricanus5871 Treaties are not set in stone. They can be amended, or new ones established. Given said treaty is thirty years old and the circumstances, it should be revised, and I'm sure an agreement could be achieved. Ukraine specifically gave up its nuclear arsenal in exchange for security guarantees after the Soviet collapse, guarantees which have not been upheld. Although considering Russia is currently the head of the UN security council for some inexplicable reason, maybe not in the near future.
The problem is the US. Obviously, it's going to try to block that, as they do with long-range missiles as well. They don't want Ukraine to rearm itself and they don't want Russia to destabilize. This is a terrible bind they've put Ukrainians in
If it's Putin's machine, it consumes 300 000 liters of fuel and cuts nothing, because the fuel budget filled a wine-cellar in a favoured officer's dacha and everything of value was either stripped from the machine or left to rot because the maintenance budget filled the cellar in the officer's 2nd dacha. Also, no-one knows how to use it, as training don't happen when there's wheels to grease and dachas to staff with that money.
By the commonly accepted definition of being in a war, even without a declaration of war (Russia didn’t even declare war so this does apply to North Korea as well) North Korea has now officially joined the war because they are sending soldiers, even if those soldiers are being paid for by the Russian government because they are not considered mercenaries either Russia is so desperate to win that they had to call in one of their own allies to fight a country that they said they would beat in 3 days This has become a 1v2 and Ukraine is still winning because Ukraine is apart of the civilized world of democracy Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦🔱💪
It's even more incomprehensible when you consider that the Republican party...the party of Regan...is supporting a Russian dictator trying to invade and conquer a democratic state in Europe, and is friends with a North Korean and a Chinese dictator, while talking about getting rid of NATO and our other alliances and buddying up closer to Russia, China and North Korea. To make this a true bizarro world, next will be a rapprochement and forgiveness of Iran, then it will be dogs and cats living together...

A fascinating report Jake. Slava Ukraine
Similar to Brother Trump's logic, supplying "borrowed" classified documents was for security purposes.
South Korea supplied civilian aid, power grid equipment etc. Plus the military equipment was run through a circular route so as not to break South Korean law.

How are 10,000 soldiers sent from NK to Russia? Seems like Ukraine needs to spend more time on those Siberia railways
I get why they did it, but I’m still upset that they were legally obligated to, but Mongolia still didn’t arrest Putin when he visited
I’m sure that if Mongolians didn’t have to fear a Russian or Chinese invasion, they would gladly help out since they’re in the perfect spot to damage the Trans-Siberian railway
Yeah, what the hell could they do? Absolutely not envious of their position.
NK and Russia share a border, Russia goes around China and directly touches NK. Look at the city of Vladivostok on the map.
Together we can stand, divided we fall.
I wish MAGAts & European right-wingers would see they are on the wrong side!
This is the moment the French Foreign Legion volunteers for the Kursk region
Or support Troops inside Ukraine, and Nato troops too.
That would be a nasty turn of events for the Russians, but sadly I don’t see it as likely.
Let’s be honest: the vast majority of Americans do not know and do not care what happens beyond North America.
Thanks!
Thanks Jake for the update. Hope your right about the election and Nov 6th 💙

Ukraine rearming with nukes - now that makes the argument interesting. . .
it would have been way better when they got rejected for nato in like 2008 . russia was weaker then and they weren't at war but the russian influence in ukraine politics was huge . too many russian sympathizers back then.
Agree.
Funny to think those North Koreans might experience Russia's dreadful standards as luxury.

When Harris wins she can ignore the moaning of MAGA Republicans and she’ll do what needs to be done to see Ukraine win.
I don't see NATO ever allowing Ukraine to acquire nuclear weapons.
@@scipioafricanus5871 They are able to make them in secrecy so quickly that they would not be found out until they are used.
Rid the security advisers of Jake Sullivan.

To the point of Ukraines natural resources: I honestly always believed that Ukraines rich deposits of rare metal were the actual reason Russia invaded.
Yep & the natural resources…although after this war everything will be polluted & burned.
I disagree. I believe it more about rebuilding the Russian empire. The rare metals are just a bonus.
@@jacobnoelle8428 they don’t appear to care about people despite huge demographic problems. Yes, they just do not want the USA & Allies making (& breaking, as desired) the rules…they want that position.

@@jacobnoelle8428Why do you need an empire but for the resources and people it contains?
Why would Ukraine need to choose between either joining NATO or making its own nukes and restoring its status as a nuclear power to guarantee its security, when it could do both, as it should? Two security guarantees are better than one. Relying on NATO only for security could prove unreliable sometime in the future, and NATO gains another nuclear power as an ally.
Much respect for Ukraine. I would not want to be facing them in combat.
Ukraine is a signatory to the UN Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as per December 5, 1994

What weighs 900 tons, consumes 36000 liters of fuel per hour and cuts an apple into 3 pieces?
A Russian machine designed to cut apples into 4 pieces
😁😁😁
If it's Putin's machine, it consumes 300 000 liters of fuel and cuts nothing, because the fuel budget filled a wine-cellar in a favoured officer's dacha and everything of value was either stripped from the machine or left to rot because the maintenance budget filled the cellar in the officer's 2nd dacha. Also, no-one knows how to use it, as training don't happen when there's wheels to grease and dachas to staff with that money.

Imagine relying on North Korea for support....Putin and Trump alike
North Korean soldiers have never fired a shot in anger since 1953. I am not surprised that they ran away from a real battle
They send their best. They immediately run to Ukraine.😂😂😂
By the commonly accepted definition of being in a war, even without a declaration of war (Russia didn’t even declare war so this does apply to North Korea as well) North Korea has now officially joined the war because they are sending soldiers, even if those soldiers are being paid for by the Russian government because they are not considered mercenaries either
Russia is so desperate to win that they had to call in one of their own allies to fight a country that they said they would beat in 3 days
This has become a 1v2 and Ukraine is still winning because Ukraine is apart of the civilized world of democracy

How anyone can vote for Trump who openly supports and admires Kim in incomprehensible .........
Trump believes that appeasing tyrants works. History, however, disagrees.
