HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- This Abandoned Mansion dates way back to the 15th century and was once a medieval fortress. The Mansion has overgone several redesigns which are very distinct as you explore inside. Its architecture is mostly built in Renaissance Style. The place is absolutely massive with 3 floors and several bedrooms & rooms that are absolutely incredible with stuff left behind from its previous owners. It's been said that the family went missing, it's previous owners inheriting the property and then fleeing the country. It's current owners have been bought by a wealthy couple that collects castles who live in a different country. Now it lies in secret, deep in the countryside of France where only explorers uncover the truth as they walk the halls and unravel this mysterious home that is now called Chateau Secret.

Just reply if you want me to translate to you 💪
With All my Respect
Always 🙏
Hi steve, so nice explore again! Greetings from Helsinki, Finland :)
thanks idol steve for the video, its been days before im watching it i had a busy week lol but im watching it now oh thanks for the intro music by the way love it so much 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
th dining table set up is like alice in the wonderland when alice had a tea
The top floors were servants quarters . The secret library was were staff sewed handmade clothes for the owners of the mansion. The smaller rooms by the childrens rooms was the Nanny’s room .
Ive been a fan for a couple years, but ive only ever commented on a couple videos. This one is absolutely phenomenal. I cant believe this castle/mansion. This place is really beautiful. Im so glad that people have left it alone, for the most part. There is a little graffiti. Every room is just beautiful. I cant believe how massive this place is outrageous and the secret library is just unreal. Its so beautiful. It was the families little private work space. Its so odd how all the hallways are hidden. Wow! Thank you Steve for the tour. Its amazing!
I agree 👍
I can’t believe so many beautiful items , just left behind, I hope one day someone comes home to it once again x
The son who inherited the property wasn't a bad guy at all. He inherited the property taxes and inheritance taxes, and legally abandoning the property is often the only way to dissolve those debts. He would have had to raise the cash he probably didn't have by selling the business. I can't blame him for walking away from a castle that would have drained him dry. It was the sensible thing to do. It took almost a decade for the province to sell this to its next owner. Imagine having to pay the tax and rates on this for a decade. Selling estates like these is almost impossible. They are too costly to upkeep. He wasn't a bad guy; he was just lumbered with a property that was too costly to continue owning. The French ( they do this in other countries as well ) need to overhaul their property tax and inheritance system if they want these properties to thrive.
Like that you are soft spoken just a perfect voice for looking at beautiful places like you go. I've never had anything in my life. And I live on a disability and barely pay my bills and my car sits in the driveway unable to ever get it fixed .. but the times that I watch your videos...they take me to places that I'll never ever be but I feel like I am so alive breathtaking places. And they make everything okay for a while. Thank you. but but I had to laugh when you read the newspaper and you said the year 1962 and said wow they're really old. The reason I left so hard is because I thought wow they're two years younger than I am some people might not laugh about that and you feel really old and much for your videos is too beautiful to feel old even though for a second I realize how young you are and how young my kids are and my grandchildren and I wanted only great grandson thank you for everything keep doing what you do. Lots of love from Elizabethtown Kentucky
Don’t think that’s a library, more of a workroom. Seamstresses kept busy with all those drapes and gowns. The table at the end would be the boss. There’s probably one machine that works the best and the head seamstress got it. The books are most likely patterns and designs.
Wow , this is a true fairytale Castle 😱 The person who bought this wonder and abandoned it could just give it to me, I would be very happy.
YEA RIGHT !!! you live in dream world. who would just give you that ??? and what makes you think you are worthy ?? you reek of
entitlement like a bad odor . have you bathed in the 6 months ? ! ? ! ?
Nevertheless owning a castle is extremely expensive😁
@@irmavincent9546 maintain a castle costs a lot of money, but I now how to make money out of a property like this.
❤❤❤❤ what a gold mine ❤❤❤❤❤ how can such places be left behind…
It’s so awesome. hi there how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
@@andychris7647 haiombwi hivo
Wow as in, i cant imagine what its look like before , i think there's more to explore in the castle maybe there's more secret roms, i enjoyed the video a lot,
15:11 That is an awesome, vintage oven. I actually kind of wish they still made ornate oven doors like that.
hi Steve nice video hope you guys be safe out there 🙏🙏🙏🙏 can't believe is everything is inside of that place that is so sad hope to see more videos ❤️ you guys good to see Bigbankz there with you
The smaller bedrooms are for staff, the smaller rooms on the main floor are butlers pantries and then circle in the ceiling is there because at one time there would have been a huge heavy Chandler. Beautiful video. Thanks for posting.
it is sad to see that many people come to rob those places
Bro I was napping hard in there 😂
I dream too have one of those vintage singer sewing machines. Just beautiful art on its own
My Granny had one but my Uncle came into her apartment when she was sick and in the hospital and he just took it.
Probably sold it, it meant nothing to him.
She taught me how to sew on it when I was a little kid. I would've treasured it.
He was a strange guy, I didn't like him. He was mean and he took my cousins away to another city. I loved them. I had no one but them, two boys, one older, one younger.
Only saw them a handful of times in my life.
Family can be painful.
It was the only thing of value that she had.
Now sewing machines are plastic.
It's a beautiful mansion and it's a real shame that everything is going bad.
Love your background knowledge of the property thank u x
Wow this place is amazing! Don’t burn yourself out Steve! Great explore!!! Appreciate you 🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful. Love all the bedrooms and all the bathrooms. I'm glad you got to explore this beauty Steve. Great that you took us with you. I like the red room and the one with the blue wallpaper. You guys stay safe.
It's nice to see you slowly educate yourself on the correct words to use keep it up read architecture and furniture books/articles so you understand and can articulate what your seeing better to your viewer's ❤ For example the walls aren't called carving it's called inlay or molding the living room is called a sitting room the cupboard is called a sideboard etc... I say this with all respect you will enjoy so much more knowing the history behind these objects and the respect they deserve
I used to do commercial cabinets, and the millwork is a huge part of why I watch these. Any paneling, intricate staircases, built-ins are just awesome to see. It took a tremendous amount of work before cncs.
Betty that's such excellent advice, I really hope Steve sees your comment. It will make a world of difference.
Up
I am Watching your on episode millionaire Royal mansion I am Anita from PA love your channel
This châteaux is just stunningly amazing. Thank you Steve.
@Beaudile Parden me, we weren't taught French 🤣🤣
Another awesome video like always 🤍
Seriously a very gifted photographer. You should check into selling your photos.
Hi there how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
This place is gorgeous, very well kept
I think the third floor was the servants quarters. Nice video! Thanks😊
Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing
It’s so beautiful 😍 hi there how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
Beyond fabulous. Take care of yourself Steve.
Just discovered your videos. Some observations: 1) the room between the sitting room/living room and the kitchen is a butler's pantry; 2) the several smaller rooms on the ground floor would be a music room, morning room, salon, and the like; 3) third floor rooms were for staff; 4) some of the language in use in the chapel is Latin (sorry, I can't translate). Short stairs to rooms such as the secret library were probably due to changes in structural elevations when the original construction was added onto. The secret library was probably not a library originally but a workroom and all the shelving was for storing materials and equipment. (See neeleymountain comment below.) It would be interesting to have known how old those sewing machines are. Singer machines were first produced in 1851 and were operated by a treadle. Very enjoyable all in all. Thank you.
Thanks Steve Ronin for amazing and beautiful castle 🏰 my imaginating while I'm watching is so wide my feeling is in their place
Omg how beautiful is this mansion, apart from the graffiti, such a shame it’s stunning x
This place is beautiful. Just love all the carved wood. It needs to be saved.
Great video as always. Thanks for taking us along.
Your videos are the BEST ~ your attention to detail is amazing and your respect for properties ~ it’s amazing how you find these remarkable beautiful properties .
Thank you for sharing your great finds all over the planet 🌎 you are amazing & appreciated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It really irks me that some rich British family bought such beautiful a piece of history and just left it to nature to eventually take it over down the road. Don’t bother hiring any grounds keepers to keep the place from vandalism and just do general up keep so it doesn’t fall to the waste side
Totally Awesome I love the furniture,wall papers,fire places,everything .I do hope someone saves it.👍❤️🇺🇸
Its a beautiful place❤️ why they are wasting that kind of place😔😔
So beautiful! The tables are part of the sewing machine.
Great place .thank you for letting me see it
Amazing & stunning! I can imagine it during each period going back to medieval times. I can only imagine what you would find if you had more time to really get into the bones of such a historical beauty. If only walls could talk-the stories they could tell! Thank you so much for such a beautiful video that documents such a fantastic piece of history. I loved everything about it. The French had such unique style and set many trends throughout centuries. Seeing it in a real unaltered way, makes you understand why. But I would have to say that my favorite room would be the Chapel. It was a testament to their unwavering faith, to make it a priority to put something so lovely in their home to worship God. Through the years, I bet many hours have been spent kneeling to Pray through war, plagues, illnesses and death as well as celebrations of life, marriage and blessings. It wasn't just a room, it was a beautiful room. I don't expect anyone to feel that way, it is just my opinion and I wanted to share the beauty I saw in it. The castle was altogether very beautiful, like a story book. Thank you! (then definitely the library 😀) Take care, stay safe and God bless! Always, Kat
I wish I had the cash to buy history like this but they just collect them and don't try to clean up and put a security system and hire someone to give tours, or go there to check out the beauty of the place the furniture and like you said the wood carvings not just buy something for a hobby and I guess clout to tell people what they own at parties, once again great job Ronin on finding great old buildings that still have a story to tell.
Thank You Steve for another great and amazing video. We enjoyed it so much 💗🔥👍
Chateaux like this drops clues about its previous owners. Can you imagine them in ancient clothes hosting social events in this?
I'm thinking how painful would it be if you have been obligated to leave your home behind (such as this) and one day you stumble over a RUclips video exploring the building that used to be your home. Especially when everything has been left behind. How many memories, good or bad. How many seeming to be usual items that this person would get flashbacks of memories from. It is always so sad to see abandoned places, doesn't matter if it's a hut or a castle.
Thank you for your videos and the respect you show to the properties. You and Big Bankz are two of my favorite explorers and I have been watching your videos for a while.
Such a beautiful castle. Thank you for exploring and sharing it with us. Always watching from Kansas City.
The chapels are always my favorite. How lovely would it be to have a chapel in your house? 💗
Absolute brilliant job Steve x
i can't believe so many beautiful item..thanks steve for your amazing video..keep and safe❤☺
Awesome video the chapel was my favorite room
Enjoyed this so much! The secret library was my favorite room, very interesting!
You deserve so much more recognition these videos are incredible! I’ve always had a love for abandoned places and mansions, they always have a creepy yet comforting vibe…to know people have made memories in that mansion is really beautiful and the way you video and talk about the history is even better keep it up! ❤❤
By far this is my most favorite exploration you had. All the details are well appreciated 😍😍😍
What a rare time capsule! I am enjoying this video and thank you for sharing. 🙂👍
This is an amazing Castle so huge I swear they must have lots of money back then to make
To make these huge castles they must have had a lot of money back then totally awesome great find as always ❤️
Beautiful Chateau. I notice you keep calling upright pianos, grand pianos. There is a difference. The one in this chateau is an upright piano. To bad the pianos you see in every place you explore could be given or bought by someone. Libraru would be great for some peace and quietness..Enjoyed this video.
Oh wow 🤩🤩🤩 Beautiful mansion 🥰
Excellent explore Steve. My fav room was also the secret library. 👍🏻
That's crazy ! Collecting Chateaux with no intention of occupying them? Absurd ! And some of them with more than 3 turrets ! What a waste ! Thanks, Steve, for showing us what we're missing.
Hi Steve... man it's been forever it seems since I last watched a video from you...I find it utterly amazing that these kinds of places even exist... but you have certainly found some of the most incredible mansions all over the world...I get pulled into what feels like a different time frame watching these videos....and the feeling stays with me long after the video is over...I still think about previous videos you've filmed... the Billionaire's luxurious mansion with all the statues, and the once abandoned horse farm with the loaded safe and valuables inside...what an amazing journey you are on !! Thank you for making these videos and sharing them with us !! And most of all for respecting the Home and its contents...P.S have you ever encountered anything paranormal ?
Dude, you need a camera that picks up and can show us the names of these books you're seeing all of these magazines the years the dates you're doing all of this but it's still empty come on bro I know you can do this I know you can. Show us more with this beautiful architectural work.
Tack 🙏🏻 Steve för en fantastiskt video 📼 och för att du tar såna fantastiska bilder 📸 ❤ 🇸🇪
Great video Steve the wall paper back then really sucked lol the room I liked best was one with the purple..Thanks
Hi Steve. I have to say that your probably my most favorite explorer. I love how you take your time and examine things. And appreciate and respect the beauty. I have wanted to get into exploring in forever. Do you have any recommendations as to how I can locate places to explore ??? I hope you read this ❤
Great video Steve keep up the good work 👍 look forward to seeing the next video 👍💖 take care xx
3rd floor for servants. Pretty nice! Probably the head butler had a bedroom on first floor so he could get to front door quickly to answer. Nice that kitchen hasn’t been too modernized over the years.
most Beautiful castle EVER! Thank You
I always love your videos. Each explorer has their own style so I like seeing the same place filmed by different people. Just want to say... "cupboard" on the US Westcoast has a silent "p". So like: ku-berd. Please don't hate me!! 🤣 Stay safe!!
Omg. The ceiling in the chapel 😳🙏🌷
I am fascinated by these abandoned places, but it saddens me that they were not inherited and lie in ruins !!!
Brilliant video I’m glad you went back to doing what you do best . It’s easy to see this is your passion keep up the great work oh I’m from Northern Ireland uk x
I love this mansion so cool my favourite room was the hidden one too you do a phenomenal job on every video thank you so much 😊
This castle must have cost a fortune for the upkeep of it x
Wow this is so nice I would love to go there thanks again from Gotha fla
The purpose of the round hole in the ceiling in the foyer is a very old version of a skylight.
I think they hung a chandelier from the ceiling and had it hang down through the hole.
Another banger
Phenomenal castle x
Another amazing video, what an incredible castle/mansion it's a pity it's owned & yet left to wither away... I'm from New Zealand 🇳🇿
The heraldry you see at 18:00 in the chapel belongs to the alliance of Gaston de Montrichard (1845-1924), marquis de Montrichard, and Michelle de Damas (1853-1895), married in 1873.
The castle is mainly considered to be dated to 19th century as when it was first built in 15th century, it got distroyed along the way and up to the 19th century was only two towers that were spared, the whole castle was rebuilt in 19th, remaining only two towers from 15th.
Another great vid can't wait for the next one here from Stafford tx
On all the houses u visited did one of the owners message?just curious😁😁😁
This is a beautiful place can't believe how some one could just leave it I'm from the USA an I live in the state of mississippi, natchez
Beautiful estate with so much left behind. Beds and all kinds of woodworks, cabinets and wardrobes, are in great shape. There was a beautiful blue couch upstairs. Thank you, Steve. 🌸
That beautiful cabinet around the 7min mark reminds me of my cabinet that I use for my hobbies. Love ur videos and wonderful place this is
Great. Guy. Steve
Such a Beautiful place I'd Love to live there I would take care of it always!
Awe it’s so amazing, hi there how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
Love this video buddy and hope you are having a good day
To have a building like this going to waste is criminal
The insanity and wastefulness of wealth, sickening saddening....
In those days round rooms or homes were made so there would be no place for the devil or other demons to hide and ghosts could visit freely.
The translation was a death announcement. Great post Steve.
The stone is a tombstone with details of who died when and what positions they held. Seems to be in French according to Google translate.
Judt beautiful absolutely loved it thanks steve from ❤ Australia
Ok will take it. Thank you ☺️💕
Just found this channel and I am So glad I have. Thank you for taking me with you to places I would LOVE TO GO!
Just thinking about how I got sucked into advocating for expensive places when I was a kid because I cared about the world! Unrelated to caring, I can see why some of these places the builders leave! At least within my mix, I'd get rid of that! Using a place that steals from the public as some secret club house! Yikes! That's got to be a tough pill to swallow! Low! How many years did this abuse happen! Glad I learned somthing from seeing alot of people and taking the time for experience! I'm not in favour of funding anything within Pembroke Ontario
Steve, I really enjoy your calm, comfortable stream of conscious narration. You have a really cool voice.
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿A beautiful château Steve!
Hi steve.
Love your videos.
What a shame that place was abandoned.
Almost wants me to find out who owns it and ask If i could live in it.
It is beautiful thank you for sharing
You are so welcome
Things and times have certainly moved forward leaving their grandiose in suspension and you guys are exposing what we could only imagine..not much can be done to the absolute..everything is a remake sustainable and new. Thanks guys.
That's cool about the couple who just collect castles. Wonderful ❤️👍😁😆👍🇺🇸
WOW 😮!! That castle is Beautiful !! And like I have said in the past to you that just about every house you seem to go in Overseas or in the US you always find a piano 🎹! I have called you the piano man 😅. Thank You 🙏. Now I like your hair long . I guess that you either could not find a place to get it cut whenever you are at this time or you didn’t have time .
Love this video steve
