@@midnightaustin9287 I don't know what you are reading, but I read that Thomas gave every due credit to Richard Smith and has done previously via his personal mix.
Awesome!! I started to learn ragtime guitar this week and my endgoals other than improvising some easy rag licks are playing this and the entertainer :3
Thanks! 🙏 The entertainer is another fantastic ragtime piece! I learnt the first section in C major a while ago but never got round to finishing and figuring out the rest 🤣 Good luck with your playing too, I’m sure you’ll enjoy playing any of the Joplin rags, they’re all great! 👍
Hi Zak! I’m sorry but I don’t have the facility or ability to make tab for this. However, I’d highly recommend you check out renowned guitarist Richard Smith’s arrangement. He’s a fantastic fingerstyle player and has tab available on his website (not sure about the cost though). I worked out this arrangement in large parts by watching a video of his performance, slowing it down and trying to imitate! All the best 👍
Thanks Sean! This is my own arrangement so I unfortunately don't have tabs. However, I worked it out in large parts from listening to the Richard Smith version (here): ruclips.net/video/MFeWbbaSJQc/видео.html If you go on his website he has the transcription (inc. tabs) available to purchase for $5.00, so this is what I'd recommend. For a more basic rendition, check out the book referenced in the video description. Hope this helps and good luck learning , it's one of the more tricky pieces I've learned but really good fun to play!
thanks! Yes, you are more than welcome to copy, use or rerecord. I can’t provide any written material though as I learnt it largely by ear. In terms of tuning, it is tuned down a semitone from standard tuning. Thanks for listening!
Absolutely insane!! Really great playing buddy, you should be proud! How do you even start to tackle a piece like that? Learn it in sections and play slow and work up the pace? Cheers 😊😊
Thanks so much! Really appreciate that! 😊 For me, the easiest way to learn pieces like this is to go a few bars at a time, get them down then move on to the next few bars, and so on. I’ve never found playing things slowly first helps to then build up the tempo (as you say) but that’s just a personal thing, I know a lot of other players like to do it that way, so it’s just what works for you really. I’d say the main thing above all though is perseverance, i. e. Not giving up and playing through over and over again until it sticks! Anyway, best of luck with your guitar playing and thanks again for the kind words! 👍
Cheers! The model of the guitar is the TW40-O-AN-E. I’ve owned it for about 12 years and it’s one of the best value guitars I’ve ever owned. They still make it as well I think. Thanks for listening!
Dude you really should break this up into , Sections and do How to play lessons with tab .. i know i would watch them .. very good i havent heard this song in 20 years very nice surprise ...
Thanks very much! It would be great to provide lessons and tab if there was demand. It’s a whole different area though which requires a lot of theory knowledge and/or notation software, plus different camera angles for showing up close parts, vocal mics etc etc… So maybe one for future. Thanks for watching! 👍
You can tell a Real PRO.. He makes it look soooo easy and it is such a difficult song. Thanks for the Great Post, Jim

I agree with Albert ...can i copy your licks? I am guessing without checking the whole thing is tuned down?
