  • In this video I am showing the innovative marine algae grazer in my 600g tank. I have been using this method of feeding Nori to my Achilles, White tail, Regal and yellow tangs and it works well for me.

    I used the IM for about 2 years and noticed some rust coming from the inside magnet. Now I'm using the two little fishies veggie clip and the pocket feeder. Your tangs are looking fat and happy.

      I had one of these rust on me because I left it in the tank for over a week straight. I usually take them out after they’re done feeding and rinse them off in cold water & put them in the tank the following day & have had no rust issues. The tangs are growing 😁

    I use the same nori feeders, but i find i need to put a rubber band around it so it wont come open. Beautiful tangs by the way! Were they all put in the tank at the same time? They seem to all get along great.

      Thank you. I had that happen a couple of times so I put less nori on the clip and it held just fine. I did introduce some tangs at different times and used an acclimation box on a couple of occasions.

    Beautiful tank- i'm setting up 180 gallon acrylic. Have you had any problems with these clips causing scratches.

      Thanks Michael. I haven’t had any issues with these magnets scratching the tank but I’d advise pulling them out after a day then rinsing them off with freshwater.

    do you recommend the garlic added seaweed for tangs?

    • @RogueAquariums
      @RogueAquariums  2 года назад +1

      When it comes to seaweed I just give them the plain nori, nothing flavored.

    How did you get a good case of Corvallis algae?

    • @RogueAquariums
      @RogueAquariums  2 года назад

      The coraline algae started appearing and covered the rock work after about a year. The tank has been running for 2.5yrs now.

    I tried the algae grazer once and got some worms in there, haven't used it again, went back to my old clip, can you prevent that from happening?

    • @RogueAquariums
      @RogueAquariums  4 дня назад

      Sorry, I missed your reply. Every day when the tangs were done eating I took the clips out, rinsed them in tap water so I didn’t get any worms in there.

    Is that the only thing you feed them?

    • @RogueAquariums

      I feed them a variety of foods from pellet to frozen.
