  • How to remove the crank bolt on the g37s or 370z (May work for other cars)
    This is a method that I found to work with out having a powerful impact. I would definitely get the crank pulley bolt "red hot" tho. I have also seen people try and lock up their pully system with a ratchet straps.

    Remember kids, heat makes things expand and coolness shrinks things. If a bolt is tight, you heat it up to expand it and make it tighter, so you can take it out easier

      I mean yeah, but it's most likely to break down the thread sealant (loctite) depending on what kind you get it has to hit a certain temp before it degrades and comes loose

    What i do in such situations i stick a flat head screw driver in the flywheel to jam the crank shaft then i use the breaker bar to loosen the crank bolt

      bro shut your bich ass up there really isn't a better way to do this. if you're not a mechanic shut your ass up. The only other way to do it if its stuck is to stick a breaker bar on it and get it jammed on some metal and crank the engine i hope your stupid ass doesn't work on cars cause the whole world of working on cars is mechanics trying to figure out janky ways of doing something cause often times you need to.

      theres a tool that goes in the crankshaft to hold it

    Yu realise this doesn't always work as heating the bolt will make it expand inside the thread

      But then when it cools down, wouldn’t that help shrink it a bit?

    • @chefboyardee8201
      @chefboyardee8201 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes thats the point. the expansion brakes any rust or dirt free, and the heat melts whatever loctite could be on it

      I'm guessing you use the pry bar to hold the pulley and tighten it.

    • @manuelramos4608

      Same way how you took it out, just place the pry bar on opposite side when tighten
