I don't like the foot control trolling motor. Those of us that like hand control are forced to keep our old boats because they won't option it on new models. Were forced to take the foot only.
Some folks prefer to keep both feet on deck esp. in rough water, there are several Minn Kota trolling motors with remote control and a control pedal, there is a filler that can be added to remove the recess if you like.
