The book provides clear illustrations ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO diagrams that cover many of the essential topics. The projects at the end of the book are valuable for enhancing your skills and creating your own furniture. A digital platform linked to the book that could offer the plans for other woodworking projects with the cut sheets would have been a nice addition, but overall, the book is excellent.
Disc sander and oscillating sander get different results. His store bought sander leaves circular marks on the finished piece...the oscillating sander he built won't.
#5... The clamping bar should be flipped over. The tightening knobs should be on the opposite side of the thread insert. The way it's set up in the video, the clamping pressure eventually will push the insert out of the clamping bar.
#3 is basically a featherboard without the feathering and anti-kickback ability. And if the object fed through the saw varies slightly in width, it will get stuck or wobble. Make a proper featherboard instead, or make it spring loaded....
Sometimes the comments are better than the video, but you know the #1 rule for brainstorming… just share it (take/use what you like and leave what you don’t like)! But my mantra is “thanks for showing me what not to do” 🙀
#2 should be mounted vertical, so that you can accurately edge sand a board sitting on a surface. You can always free hand against the motion, but the way it's built, you can't accurately sand a board edge at a right angle. #5 the pronged T nuts should be on the underside so downward pressure when tightening isn't trying to pull them out. Also a 2nd set of holes for the track on one side would let you change it up to run a router down the track.
The weird thing about #2 is that he used a professional version of it in the build process. I personally don't use nice tools to make makeshift versions, but to each his own I guess.
Imagine having to store that thing in your shop/garage. It would take me about a week until I threw it away and built it more compact and mounted vertically like you said. Or just buy a handheld belt sander, since you’ll have a lot more control with one. Plus it’d take up less space, and you can either mount the wood or mount the sander for extra control.
Very cool ideas. Wish you would show the jig before the how-to section. The way it is now, it is very frustrating to watch, not knowing where it's going.
I'm happy to learn that I'm not the only one that found that second "project" utterly ridiculous. Particularly as he already had a real sander mounted that he actually USED to make the Gerry-rigged one out of the drill/ screw gun Thanks Adrian.
@@kellyannflanagansmythe82 I agree and also with another post, in that there are lots of videos like this where you see people making amazing contraptions using tools that do the same job, or as others say, you can see they have tools that cost a lot of money so why waste time making these things, other than to show off ideas, why they can porbably buy what they need.
The question in most cases is why would you go to these lengths? The cost of the extras alone must be close to the cost of the readily available solutions to do the same.
Thay first router set up will.work well if you have long lengths that would otherwise hit the ceiling. I will be running into that I soon. Glad I saw this.
On the channel, I want to share how I create various things from wood, metal, construction experience and many other things made with my own hands. I have no special education, no production experience, there is only a desire and desire to improve skills. I hope my videos will motivate the viewer.
One thing for sure, in the future this wood craft person will have an unhealthy future. With no dust control and breathing all the fine dust created in producing these projects, its clear that they are headed down a troubled path.
Woowww... Supper...nice video... Thanks
Thank you too

Thank you for watching this video
So, you're using a sander you bought from store to sand down and round up parts you want to use to make a sander. What an amazing idea.
Farming enqipmeet
🤣🤣🤣
I thought the same thing

I will try to do it with Woodprix plans.

I think #2 could also double as a paint mixer, just gotta make the interior proper size. 👍😁
#3 is basically a featherboard without the feathering and anti-kickback ability. And if the object fed through the saw varies slightly in width, it will get stuck or wobble.

I made one that was spring loaded.

Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷
you are one of my inspirations among tutorial channels that I watch and then download
Great ideas. What was the squirt on glue that you used?
1,3,and 4 are brilliant. #5 we saw coming because he used it on an earlier project. #2 is the most complicated belt sander I have ever seen.
I usually just watch for those at garage sales ahahhaah
you are a genius
Woodworking good work
Nummer 3 ist cool!
Hmm.. 8:46 3:01 to make it more safety

Woodworking is such an awesome hobby and there are so many reasons that I love woodworking
Great video but as far as the last one is concerned that's why I bought a table saw🤪🍋

So, you use that black thingy mag jig you bought to hold the scrap wood through the saw. Why you need the thing you build? Amazing.

very good ideas i like
Beautiful 👏

Great Tips and Great story telling, fast and to the point.
Glad you liked it!

Ow jee great skill
Wow very interesting awesome job
No 4 👍👍👍👍
The wheeled table saw father boards nice but its not going to stop kickback. The wheels and presure needs to be above pushing down onto the table.
This is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

Keren dan sangat bagus mantap
Some brilliant ideas there
Thank you
I actually like #4. The drill press dust collector
Using a circular saw in #1 idea as a track saw was a great idea. What kind of çlamp was that?
#4 is quite cool, but I felt the vacuum hole should've been lower than it is.
Nice and organized
Very nice video 👍
These are great ideas, my friend. Each of them is great, the combo is awesome.
Thanks so much!
All are 8nteresting but number 3 would be very handy
You are no. 1, amazing job. Congratulations! THANK you
Good idea
Sensacional!
You are amazing!
Wow, thank you!
What do you call that rotating thing at 11:37?
I bet if he was marooned on a desert island and a canoe washed up he'd smash it up and build a raft.
ROTFLMFAO

All useful tips ... 🙏👍
Nice 😉😉😉
Love this. Never seen a stove like this.......awesome.
i've never wanted a drill press more than i do now
3 is a bad idea. Might work with straight wood, but a feather board needs a little give.
exactly what I thought in fact make your own
And a real feather board has anti-kickback capabilities as well.
6:30-7:00 is it comfortable? unequivocally it is not useful. why don't you use your inventions? like vacuum for drill press and so on
I was taking this video quite seriously until you built this 6:30
No.2 🙈🙈🙈 rest is ok 👍🏻
The question in most cases is why would you go to these lengths? The cost of the extras alone must be close to the cost of the readily available solutions to do the same.
useful and practical....
Woow || amazing beautiful woodworking tools || Thank you very much

Todos los proyectos me encantan
Great video, brilliant 😎
Thank you! 👍

very handy if you already have a stationary disc-sander
Tolle Ideen. Werde einige umsetzen. Super

out of curiosity for #2, what's the cost of the lumber and time it took to make this? It looks very unstable.
