I know I've said this a while back on the announcement of your first original album, but you've been an enormous inspiration to me to want to sing and put out my own voice, to want to make covers of songs and maybe play around in my own little sphere of music and all that. I still haven't really covered anything yet, I'm just a little nervous and I'm afraid I don't really have the right equipment, but I have taken up choir classes in my school and next year I'm going to be in Concert Choir AND Madrigals all year, and it's largely because of you. You make me love singing, more than I ever have, and your music, original or not, makes my day even on the worst ones. You have been such an amazing figure on this platform for me and all of your other fans, you've been such a huge inspiration to me and many others, and I know you're going to be an amazing dad. Thank you for bothering to mention the complexity of adoption even just for a moment. Obviously adoptive parents aren’t obligated to do a deep dive any time it’s brought up but it is nice to see it now and then.
Adoption is an incredible and beautiful experience, but it always starts with a loss, which is importantly to recognize even in cases where it was for the best. The stress during the pregnancy and the trauma of being separated has the potential to affect the child even if they don’t remember the actual events. Of course being adopted doesn’t mean youll never be whole or anything like that, and yeah the kid should be treated generally the same as a bio kid, but pretending that it never affects them at all can lead to other issues, it always makes me feel better when someone seems willing to acknowledge the potential and unique difficulties without being obsessive or weird about it. I think often times the complexity is either exaggerated or just completely glossed over so it’s nice to see how naturally you’re able to talk about the concept.

All this sounds amazing, Caleb, I've been a subscriber for years and years, and I think it's way harder to write a song that can take advantage of everything you cand do with your voice than it is for you to sing it and sound effortlessly awesome.

first off all congrats on becoming a Dad. to answer your question, my year has sucked since i lost my mom in september 2022, but its slowly getting better, i started to try and have fun and you and Jonathan Young has helped me do that, my mom and me would go to musicals a lot and theater and Disney movies (when i was younger), so lots off yours and Jonathan's covers has helped me remember the good times me and my mom had togheter rather then staying in the grieve, i still grieve but i have started to laugh a lot aswell without feeling guilty about laughing. I'm very happy to hear you are gonna keep making covers, would love to see you and Jonathan young live, but i guesse i will have to wait patiently till you both do a european tour and make a stop in Belgium. have a Wolf within tshirt that is waiting for both your autographes.
