I loved the way they keep updating the opening in the last season, I was so happy when I saw Catra and Adora finally not fighting and Catra smiling peacefully while Adora in her new Shera from retreat back happy, also the details with the rest of the cast was a really smart detail, love this season so much, easily my favorite of all 5.
Minor thing not necessarily to do with the intro (well, nothing to do with the intro at all actually), but can I just say how much I appreciate that they didn't nerf King Micah at all? We've been told that he was the most powerful magic user anyone had ever seen, but we'd never seen him in action or at full strength. We'd been told that Glimmer would become more powerful than him as both his daughter and the daughter of an immortal queen. It would have been easy for them to have made Glimmer his equal, but when he was being mind controlled it was pretty clear that no matter who else was there, he was by far the greatest threat and was more than capable of taking down any number of the main cast single-handed. So props to the writers.
He cheated with the freezing spell. He didn't let his opponents know he was there. They weren't even attacking him. I wouldn't call it a fair fight. My headcanon is that spell he used was banned by the mages of Mysticor as it caused instant paralysis in those caught in it, but the victims remain fully conscious. They consider it a living death. Plus, Mermista had already been neutralised, Sea-Hawk was just looking after her, Swift Wind is an animal, Frosta is nowhere near 18, and anybody who who causes harm to Wrong Hordak, our cinnamon roll, will have to deal with me!!
I love when companies invest in putting *this* much attention to detail even in the openings for a show as it progresses. Seeing this progress over the course of the show really blew me away, while the story was going on. Most companies (at least in the west) might only ever have one opening, maybe one per season. Attention to detail like this was similar with Steven Universe's endings, and I loved that too.

The Rugrats reboot had so much misinformation that the changes were interpreted the wrong way, so I'm running around trying to explain to them that they were all within reason. 0:53 Perfuma is also wearing a jacket and hair her is longer and has flowers in it on season 1 to 3 and on 1:42 her hair got shorter and she no longer wears a jacket and does not have flowers on her hair 0:39 catra is wearing a old outfit and on 1:21 her outfit has changed like perfuma and her hair 2:23 the sky is darker and at 3:30 Adora has a new she ra design
Words cannot express how happy I was when I saw that Catra wasn’t in the evil cut anymore, when she and Adora smiled at each other, and when she was in the heroes’ ending cut.
I think it's really cool how they change the intro and take the extra time to do so, even though they don't have to :) it would also be helpful if you skipped an episode and want to know where everyone stands (for example)
I love the reveal shot of Horde Prime so menacing and it got me so interested in what he would be like since Hordak was but a fraction of the Horde Armada. it's neat that they changed up the intro with the situation, I thought I was the only one that noticed
I kinda want a season six, mostly so I can see a final (possibly final) intro with everyone there, with all of the updated changes so far. I think it would be nice since the ones who were chipped aren't in the intro even after wards. Ideas cuz why not: glimmer and her dad hugging, as well as a hologram of angella. A hologram of Mara, Light hope and shadow weaver. Entrapta with hordak, wrong hordak, and (maybe) Emily. I also want to see where adora came from/who are her parents, and who catra's parents are, and maybe a slight backstory or "past" of some of the characters. I have more ideas but then this would be a long-ish comment lol
Its kinda sad Shadow weaver isnt shown anywhere in the intro of season 4 since she there is sort of a Hero. (Cause she helps the heroes to even win and also sacrefices Herself to save catra in the last Episode)
to be fair, she was never meant to be a hero. when she sacrificed herself she did it so adora and catra could move on, not so she would redeem herself. while she did work with the rebels, she technically always worked for herself. everything she ever did was for herself and so she could have more power, all except for her final sacrifice. she was never a hero, although she helped the heroes. she was a manipulative abuser that messed adora and catra up for life.

@@GlitchPitbunny she couldn't have taken the power, it would've destroyed her. also when I said it wasn't a redemption, I was referring to what Noelle(I think) said about her death. she was never meant to be redeemed, they never wanted her to be. she just needed to go so adora and catra could move on. yeah she did do something good, but that absolutely doesn't excuse years of intentional abuse and manipulation.

I just got Netflix recently so I was only able to watch it since last week. Me and my brother finished it yesterday. We looked forward to the intro a lot because the song is so hype and we just really like it. And by god did it get 100 times more exciting when we realised it was changing. We would literally be shouting out the differences and pausing it and rewinding so we could see every tiny difference (we somehow missed Entrapta in the background, even though she’s our favourite). Our favourite changes were: Scorpia added to hero lineup, Catra added to hero lineup, Entrapta added to hero lineup, Spinerella and Netossa reunited, Catradora duel ending nicer, Mara added to hero lineup) really this was just our favourite parts and we’d been spending the entire time wanting everyone to join the princesses. We were also very excited (not that this was not nice, happy excitement, these were more sad reactions) over Horde Prime, sad Scorpia, removal of Queen Angella and the chipped people appearing with the villains.
I think it's because she's not really on either side. She's ambiguous. No one trusts her fully. And until the last episode, we don't know her true motivations.

Lastly the fact that the midpoint of the season is when we have all of the characters present fells cheap. Especially because Spineralla was chipped before that episode.

I noticed the changes as they went, having them made it so cool. I didn’t notice the very last change on the villains side, but did for the hero’s

She was actually supposed to be back for the finale but as they already had to cut 10-15 mins of what they wanted to include Angella didn't return.
