Yes it is running through a small hole , which must be aligned perfectly to not damage the wires, and forward between the rubber baffle, to exit there. Not a great design though.
Good video to get to know the pump and the various components. On the other hand missing important details in reassembling the pump and the motor. The way he assembles the end cap on the motor (just with the ring on the back) is not the way to do this. I had trouble getting the end cap on the motor after changing the bearings on both sides. I had to press the closed end of the motor house outwards 6 mm with a press to get the end cap back on with the same press. I used a hydraulic bottle press from a car and some tubes to makes sure not to deform the motor house. Pump is running fine again after all but i was close to buying a new one.
How old is your pump? Mine is 2015. I had to replace the bearings twice and now it starting to get noisy again. Pretty discouraged at this pump. I feel that the water cooled motor is a good idea but not thought out through. It's a bad design if you need to replace the bearings every 2 years.
@@michelvidori8965 i bought my pump second hand so I don't know how old or more relevant how many hours it was running. Important is that the seals are watertight (against rust) and the rotor and impeller are well balanced (against vibrations). Bearings should last for many years otherwise it's most the driving end bearing will wear quickly. The concept is great not wasting the heat.
This is such a terrible pump, had nothing but problems with it that the pool company hasn’t been able to resolve. Nirvana don’t care and haven’t helped. Stay away.
Does the water circulate around the capacitor and wiring?! It looks scary, if you don't get the seals right! Thank you.
No of course not. But you have to assemble everything the right way if not water will be leaking out on the bottom of the pump.
Thanks to the video, I disassembled the pump very easily, thank you.
If i just wanted to check if there is debris in the impeller can i just undo that large locking nut?
Yes and the Front half of the pump will come off and give you access.
where does the overring where screw nut is sit on when doing up.because have one the thing leaks
I have the model 300. It gives a noise around 65. not silent at all. I there a problem that causes the louder noise than it is advertised?
probably the bearings starting to rust.
Where is your power cord? that's supposed to fit down between the rubber baffle isn't it?

what does the floating neckring do
how much for the rebuild kit?
sls150
cheers
I know it's kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online ?
@Adonis Lochlan Lately I have been using Flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Adonis Lochlan I would suggest flixzone. Just search on google for it :)

Good instruction but the video sucks.
