Hey I’m planning to go to Zanzibar after doing some volunteering and touring around the southern part of Africa. Just a very simple question Did you pre booked all your tours and guides and transport? Do you think it’s better to use a travel agent or just do it all yourself.
I used a company called “The African and Oriental Travel Company” - while you could do it all on your own, it’s nice to have someone who knows the Swahili Culture help you. Here is their website (I don’t get a kickback) let them know I sent ya if you book. www.orientafricatravel.com/? But if it doesn’t work with them, you can WhatsApp the people I linked & they could help as well, it can get a bit ambiguous with how much they plan on charging. While using the company above they will be able to tell you what is “normal” and what’s not as they lived there for years and years and are from the Netherlands/England - they wife (Francisca) studied Anthropology in Zanzibar actually
Have you heard of Stonetown before? How about Zanzibar? What was the most interesting bit for you?
Enjoyed your video! What was the length of your visit to Zanzibar?
I stayed for 2.5 weeks to do the touring, scuba diving, and quick safari
