I'm assuming when they mean American-style, they mean a hotdog in a bun with toppings. That would be accurate, but the average American wouldn't recognize most of the toppings shown here. Toppings vary, but the most generic in the USA would be ketchup, mustard, chopped raw onion, and maybe sweet pickle relish. 🌭
As a Korean, I can confirm, a hotdog in a split roll like that we consider American, regardless what's inside. Corn dogs are what we typically consider more Korean. But then it's really 'Korean' to add lots of "odd" or non-traditional toppings. For an example, Korean Domino's pizza has lots of unconventional toppings that's not seen in any other country's Domino's (not just NA, literally any part of the globe). In that sense, these hotdogs are really a whole lot more "Korean" than American.

I'm always fascinated by the yin and yang of asian food, so it didn't surprise to see something sweet included in with all the savory ingredients. I was a little surprised that the sweet came in the form of Frosted Flakes, but I would try one of these. I bet this is delicious with a beer.
I'm Asian and American. I just think it's more so an experimental restaurant that kind of made bad choice's that happens to be in Korea then anything. I don't want to claim this as Asian food lol. The onion chunks and gravy got me revolted. ive seen and had better Asian fushion hot dogs. Like bacon wrapped with wasabi mayo, takiyoki sauce and bonito flakes and another topped with kimchi Mayo, fried kimchi and bulgolgi with caramelized onions.
