I know right? Force of Nature is how you summoned them in wc3 and how you do it in WoW, at least letting them by deployable like a Quillboar would feel more like that lmao.
I agree, it should have been a spell or unbound mini. Getting rid of "vulnerable." Could be helpful, but they will still just die from AOE. Unbound is the buff they need, but cap them at 6 or 8 treants.
@@williamslater-vf5ym a spell makes more sense, as it can be cast anywhere, BUT near the enemy base, and it wouldn't take them time to deliver that first attack, which is what makes them so weak. Unbound would still make them lag for a second before attacking :S
Thanks for the recommendations, OG! I actually had Celestial Focus on my GRID before today's reset and took a gamble on buying it before it left the GRID because it seemed like the most generally useful talent. I'm glad to see I probably made the right choice. Treants are so bad it probably barely matters which talent you pick, but I'll hold out for Propagation anyway. Maybe they'll buff Treants because they're so bad, and hopefully that doesn't change the relative value of their talents.
Compared with the cost of any other mini, the treants will always lose (one treant compared to a one cost mini=lose, two compared to a 2 cost mini= lose, etc…) this is so sad as I think it is such a cool character. In order for it to be useful at all: Make it unbound; Gold cost to 1, play additional treants as pleased which also cost one each (ends when another mini is played inbetween); composting talent heals 5% of max health of target. This would allow some sweet, pro-active mechanics. Please, please, please
I think Treants are good for Ragnaros (damage) and for Onu (heal). Because they have armor, armored minis return damage with Ragnaros, imagine dozens of those returning damage. Treants are made to die. If you want some tanky, maybe Drak with the resist talent, but I dont see much use, yet.
Remove vuln from them and give them unbound. Or at least give them unbount so you can target some obj during match. Ok, giving them 2 buffs would be too strong.
Either one would be good, but not both, as you said. I would take unbound over losing the vulnerability, since squads die instantly to AOE anyway, which is most elemental damage. One person pointed out that treants should have been a spell.
I took Composting (the heal talent) for the Treants ... because it was the first one offered to me on the grid. My next will be Uproot, maybe it has some combo potential in PvE ... but Treants are a mini I'm never using outside of quests, possibly the worst mini in the game, "pack filler" as it where. (The Treants PvP challenge has been rough going). I took Solar Flare for Eclipse for the damage output and to pull off fun combos with Thaurissan and Moira's Wit (hehe, he can be near invincible under reasonable conditions) ... that and it was the first on the grid for me. I can see myself using Eclipse from time to time, and not a terrible mini to have in Arclight Surges.
They should make it that when you turn a mini into a legendary, they have access to all the talents. Atleast for pve, PvP I don’t care cuz I don’t play it.
@@sinergia4615 legendary minis get to activate all their talents, atleast the talents they have unlocked. Say a legendary tier Banshee, she gets to heal the possessed mini and grant it bloodlust for 10 sec, and explode when it dies.
Maybe treants + Drakisath with chromatic scales? To give them resistance? Haven't tried it yet but i feel like it's a lot of gold spent for not a really good combination
resistance + vulnerable stacks additively, so you start with +100% damage from vulnerable and then -50% damage from resistance and you still end up taking +50% damage (or 150% total) damage from elemental sources when they have both resist and vulnerable. It's weird that it works this way especially since having both resistance and vulnerable at the same time removes the resist and vulnerable icons, which should indicate neutral damage, but in reality that's not how it works.
@@formerflash1901 didn't knew it stacked additively. That sucks. Only other way i can think of giving value to the treants is using the alliance light spell (don't remember the name) to give them armor and resistance for a few seconds. Yet again, not worth it i think 😕
@@vincentlefur4490 Holy nova, and yeah unfortunately it's just not enough. In fact they'd still die to chain lightning if they were given resistance due to the weird stacking.
i think treant best talent is the heal cause they are good at dying so at least u get a heal out of it. so what if u can get more treants to spawn if they only die. my money is on the heal cause u get something out of it. root is a close second and may even be sleeper #1.
Does the new 'Hotfix' to Treants change your oppinion on the unit? They still die from a Pyromancer but at least they are no longer Vulnerable and get a damage buff when summoned in swarm.
You want Radiant Flames because it does things even without playing Ragnaros. Not a lot of things, but it kills Chickens at least. Sons of Flame are disappointing, but can kill something sometimes. Concussive Blast is completely useless. None of the Ragnaros talents are very strong.
They are okay when there are at least 8 of them, and there is one enemy. They can also beat chickens, sometimes. Eclipse is a decent spell though. Its already saved me a few times. I dont hate the treants but they're not really viable atm outside of completing the challenges. They need to get rid of the "vulnerable" trait, at the very least. Having 10 gold dissappear from two pyromancer shots is ridiculous. But then again most squads just die to pyro. Meh. We'll see.
Cenarion minis seem like such a mixed bag. Which is a shame, im a druid main lmao. Feel like the hybrid aspect of their units is over valued relative to how much good being hybrid is.

@@persianpkmn Maybe thats ok, but then you need two spell slots in the comp, a certain talent and Execute a decent level. Thats not a good sign of a mini being viable. Maybe ok in Jaina/Thalnos comps. Maybe.
They deal 90 damage per hit (lvl 1 stats that are always used for comparisons in the game because of exponential scaling that means that level difference always has the same effect) as I say in the video, which means that their single-hit damage is good despite the lowish dps. What part of that is unclear?
Treants and Eclipse were buffed! The top-2 talents for each remain the same, here's my take on the buffs: ruclips.net/video/2jFVw4d4LDA/видео.html

Treants used as a troop bomb with Onu works. Especially with his from the trees talent. Drop all of them on a tower or base and it’s like a nuke

The heal is very weak. 50 healing per treant that dies

They did. They pretty much had to. The most important thing is they got rid of vulnerable, so they don't die instantly to spells and aoe.
The extra treants spawning at base is the dumbest shit I've seen
