That girl is the best of them all! And, please, these two guys are the great. Thank you for posting!
Rita's voice, her interpretations certainly coming from the depths of her soul and the whole atmosphere of the instruments around are like a hot chocolate in the coldest winter. Pure poetry
Rita has really developed beautifully as a jazz vocalist. This is superb!
I'll add that, besides Rita's perfect vocal performance, this accompaniment is superb - including Rita's trombone solo. The timbre of the tenor is gorgeous and lilting tempo - which Rita's phrasing perfectly compliments - is simply wonderful.
And it’s always like that, she’s súper versátil with her solos and such, giving it that cherry on the top of the ice cream.
Indeed 😊😊😊
C'est remarquable, Rita nous donne ici une interprétation émouvante de ce chef d'oeuvre de presque un siècle! Merci à tous les trois, c'est juste beau!
Lovely in all respects! Entrancing vocal and fine musicianship by all members! Encore!
Rita is a goddess
Its starting to look that way...
Que trio alucinante, gracias, Rita Payés es una diva!! Buenaso!! 🤩😎😍
Ms Rita never disappoints! Wonderful!
Bravo!
preciosooooooooo!!!
I'm sorry my reply to you has been removed, Professor. Folk need to know how much you contributed to this...
Beautiful! Bravo! 👏Love when Rita sings the standards ❤
Tudo belíssimo!! Rita, Rita, Rita, Rita... Payez!!! 🎼🎼🎼🎼
Ah my long overdue Rita jazz fix. With Enrique and Jaume as bonus.
Lovely work team!
Yes, my friend, doses are becoming more and more infrequent, but we will have to make do with that. It is obvious that she is still one chosen by the Jazz gods. And she knows it. I hope she never forget it.
@@ArturoBeramendi1704 I'm not too worried given the sensational quality of her singing here. Rich experience like hers will bring jazz back to the world as the people's music. Eudald (and probably Pere Payes) seem a growing Jazz influence in her life. (Do you know who composed "Out of the Blue"?). I want Pol and Lucia Fumero to be pulled into doing more Jazz. I have proposed Marti Serra needs to form a piano sextet with Lucy, Rita and Oscar (or Eudald) and do some of his brilliant Jazz arrangements of their compositions. He has the breadth of imagination to accommodate their World Music interests.....
@@fliprim What you propose would be great. Eudald Payés is a good trumpet player, although he is still little known. Pol is a curious guy, an unclassifiable singer-songwriter, but he has never heard him sing or play anything similar to Jazz. Lucy does have some jazz recordings with a very good style, but... A few days ago I was live at Rita and Lucía's concert in Madrid, Recoletos Jazz club, it was quite disappointing for me: 75 minutes and absolutely no Jazz, zero. All Latin American music, performed with the usual talent and good taste, of course, but it was supposed to be a Jazz concert. Also a year and a half ago I attended another Rita concert in Madrid, with her mother, Pol, Horacio and Berbín, a super luxury group... the same: no Jazz, not one song. I don't think I'll ever spend my money on another concert of her, honestly.
So, without losing hope, allow me to be a little bit skeptical about this. 😉
@@ArturoBeramendi1704 Pere Payes is Rita's father. Another music educator and trumpet player... and jazz enthusiast.

I saw the live Madrid concert 7th October and, frankly, loved it. I think Jazz is also in Lucia's heart, as much as Irving Berlin, Debussy and Steve Reich. I think she would love Marti Serra's clever jazz arrangements applied to her own and Rita's ideas.
Pol, a would-be poet-rock-musician, won the heart and hand of Rita and the approval of Eli in part by embracing their classical and folk musical tastes. He's a fast learner. I think he is musically more talented than his early career suggested. I think jazz is entirely a path for him to explore.
Greetings from London!
@@fliprim I didn't say that I didn't like the recital, I was simply expecting another repertoire, nothing more. Expectation management, you know.
And yes, a group with Rita (voice and trombone), Martí (sax), Lucía (piano), Elizabeth (guitar), Eudald / Pere (trumpet), Horacio (double bass), Pol (electric bass) and Berbín (percussion), with arrangements by Martí Serra himself on Jazz standards, would be fantastic. I would pay good money for that concert. Everyone of them are excellent jazz musicians, except Eli (I have no doubt that she could become an excellent jazz guitarist, she has chords here and there...) and Pol (in whom you have a lot of confidence and I "buy it", of course).
[ By the way, ok about Debussy y Reich, but ... have you heard Beethoven's sonata No. 32 performed by Claudio Arrau? At times it sounds like Bill Evans, pure Jazz ]
Greetings from Madrid
Bloody hell! Keep doing this! Absolutely amazing!
At 3:58 Enrique loves Rita's use of her voice as an instrument, holding onto a phrase repeated...
Beautiful singing and playing! Perfect tempo. Love the inclusion of the verse. Just wonderful!
Very Nice. This is one of those few songs to keep us in love or lose our heart to Rita Peyes.
Juste parfait !🌺🌺🌺🌺
You expressed the meaning better than an English speaking singer! Lovely interplay with voice and saxophone and guitar.
Perfect. Goose pimple perfect ❤
I love Rita's singing.....and playing.
This is such an excellent setting for Rita, she sounds excellent. Enrique and Jaume are excellent themselves and wonderful in support. Well done.
A true musician in the making.. her trombone
playing is so natural.. mastered the instrument.. her voice & phrasing sounds a lot like the great BILLIE HOLIDAY!!! Bravo...
Jaume Llombart is providing a tasty full band comping, we have a new Barney Kessell on guitar here.... besides the perfect Rita and Enrique.
Vaya tres monstruos y qué magnifico video.
[ English ] I love seeing Rita in her best element again: Jazz vocalist and trombonist. For it, she is what she trained since girl, she studied, she graduated, which made her famous and known throughout the world as a teenager through RUclips on the Chamorro Channel. And in my humble opinion, what she does best. This woman is born for Jazz, she is gifted, chosen by the gods. And okay, that she diversifies everything she wants, great singer-songwriter, performs Latin American songs, even goes on tour with reggaeton rappers (oh, my God), but that she never leaves Jazz, please.
Enrique Oliver is very clear about it, for many years he has been one of the best saxophonists in Spanish jazz, a great talent of international level. And Jaume Llombart is, in my personal opinion, the best Jazz guitarist in our country along with Josep Traver.
Wow, three monsters and what a magnificent video.
Folks new to this world class act, Ramiro, might be interested in the roots of their mutual respect for each other. As we know, even 7 years ago they were jazz giants...

Just fantastic! Both musically and performance-wise man!
Good job keeping jazz alive, well done.
This is a lovely intimate performance of this unrequited love song from long ago. Rita sings poetically and underscores the message with her soft trombone solo. Frank Sinatra sang this song on an album from the 1950s, accompanied by a large orchestra with strings. As always, he illustrated the song's message with his viola of a voice.
I think Rita's version and her singing in general are strongly influenced by Billie Holiday, and there are few finer to follow.
You are probably right. Billie had the unique talent of making every song sound like a one act play@@georgelewis1746
Reminds me of prime Chet Baker with like 6 times the sauce. Absolutely amazing
I think Rita must be a particular fan of Chet Baker. There are some vocal renditions of hers that follow Chet's trumpet (! rather than vocal) line almost perfectly.
Wow that was beautiful….
Coisa mais linda ! Muito obrigado.
