I tried this Adam on a gorgeous piece of Ash. I routed it to 2 or 3mm but the magnets still wouldn't hold a knife. I tried doubling them up & even tripled but it was no good. I used 60mm x 10mm x 3mm. What type of magnets did you use, please. Tony in the UK

You wanna get some neodymium magnets, you can find them online or there may well be a supplier in your city. I live in western Australia and even here there is at least one store that specialises in high quality magnets.

Just consider the type of wood being used, as you don't want your knives exposed to any moisture, especially if any of the knives contain reactive metals.
