Nice one! One small suggestion: make the top 'ladder' as long as the plywood. That would give the plywood more support and provide a more solid place for the vice.
Great bench. I learnt a few things from this video. I just have a question. All these people that make videos on making a work bench, even a basic one presumably for beginners. They all seem to assume that those of us starting out have drop saws and a room full of power tools. I tend to lose interest in these videos as soon as they say "just use your drop saw" or "flatten them out on your thicknesser". Am I the only one that gets frustrated when these people showing us how to build "Your first workbench" or a basic workbench or something brings out all the big boys toys and fancy little depth gauges that most of us beginners know NOTHING about yet. They all cost hundreds of $ before they have a bench to put them on?
