Ive only just come across your channel, and ive sat up since 3am warching all your videos as a prison officer myself been HMP BHAM for 14months and been worse 14 months of my life its absolutely shocking things i have seen, i ised to work on K Wing biggest wing Gang rival Firearms ect.absolutley madness ZOO k wing was i admit i struggled, AND STAFF WERE FUKIN AWFUL BULLIES WHO SET ME UP... AFFECTED MY MENTAL HEALTH I WAS AFRAID TO GO BACK BUT I RETUNED MONTH LATER... THEY MOVED ME TO VP UNIT CMS told ME will be less stressful for me..!!! HOLY SHIT ITS ANOTHER WORLD.. VUNERABLE PRISONERS MY ARSE.. THERE FUKIN VIPERS!!! and i totally agree what u have said Theres fuck all we can do for These Vile pieces of scum,... ive been assaulted twice and fuck all has happened to them couole days in seg month on basic ehich is basicaly have tele took off them cus they still allowed to work and do education so there outside there cell alot... its disgusting... i was told in training alot of staff worse then prisoners they were right... I was traumatized... then to come back be assulted by scum of earth....!!! Have no staff support i take every shift home with me... plays around in my head dont have anyone to talk.to about it NO FRIIENDS AT WORK NO I TRUST AND FRIENDS AND FAMILY they dont understand ... and listening to you talk about your days experiences HONESTLY MAKES ME FEEL ALOT BETTER... so Thank you!!!! I suffered mental health going into this job and 12 months in im on 3x medication for Anxiety depression PTSD then was prior High dosages and twice a week counciling.... youve mad me feel alot better since 3am then all fukin.meds and councillors have in 12 months!!!.... i appologise for long winded comment... 12 months Happy smiling postive Vibes.... whilst suffering in silence..

Yeah, justice actually seen there, or was it not Justice we saw but a Parole Board unaffected by the 'woke' sickness? AWAKE not WOKE is the best panacea for 21st Century living.
I was watching a RUclips video on the killings back in 2017. There were comments from an account, basically defending the boys and stating that nobody should be punished forever. The account name had recently been changed from its original name: “Juan Paul.” For those not in the know, this was the alias that Venables would use online during his first new identity (John Paul.)
He had basically been watching documentaries about the killings and under an alias, defending his actions.
When I was a Bobbie in Salford back in the day there was a secure juvenile unit near Barton Aerodrome the rumour was at least one of these two ( probably not both) was in there. Some Bobbies that were on that enquiry had to take early retirement after that they couldn’t cope with what they had seen. May that poor lad Jamie rest in peace, it must haunt his poor mother every single hour of her waking day.
Robert Thompson or aka the other one was near Salford, the greater Manchester. Venables at Red Bank.

I agree with you. I’ve worked with extremely disturbed kids and some are just as you say. They are not able to rehabilitate. They are dangerous. It’s not something you want to admit but it’s true. I hope they are never released. Thank you for your honesty. I agree something new needs to be developed.

The two boys made a mistake they should be left alone and get on with their lives, people should stop saying what should and shouldn't be done to them, I feel quite sorry for them now having to look over they shoulder

I actually had a pint with this scumbag (obviously not knowing who he was at the time) he bought me one in my local. A week later he was recalled for the first time. He struck me as sad, lonely, and very needy. My friends were on a documentary about him. Makes me sick. I stormed down to the local police station demanding to know what the hell they thought they were doing putting that bastard so close to my kids and 4 bloody schools! Who's bright idea was that? They said they didn't know (i suppose looking back they wouldn't have known).

Appreciate the insight Sam and thank you for doing a "thankless" task in your serving days. Strikes me that, for some, no amount of rehabilitation will solve their problems - they are hard-wired differently and will not change. JV deserves never to see daylight again in my book. The Bulger family's pain and suffering seems endless.

I do remember this at the time but I was only 7. But I remember it quite well. It was the most horrific crime. How could u do it to a child. I'm not a father my self but I have close friends who have children and I astounded to hear that he's out bragging about what he has done.

To be locked up within the Merseyside area was two fingers up to Jamie's family. Also releasing him and letting him roam the streets of Liverpool is a disgrace.

I was on an all inclusive in HMP Swansea, 2010. Working up the kitchens, when an inmate arrived from Bullingdon. Placed with the rest of us kitchen boys down on C wing. Every Saturday we used to have a bet on the horses, tin of tuna each. This guy comes into my pad, asking me what and how we were doing. Now this same guy had told me up the kitchens that he was running a betting office up Lampeter, mid Wales and was in for computer fraud, hmmmm.
On bang up, Saturday afternoon I said to the screw, I'm sure that thing
is venables. Well Sunday morning, opened up later than normal, yes the things cell was empty, ghosted, gone.
I've heard that's a regular one for nonces. They all say they were in for fraud

As someone who has been both sides of the door, paroled from the Ville in 99, 2004 - 2007 RAPT manager Coldingley, I will go one further regarding the SOTP.
I did the college and years of training in counselling and was a clinical supervisor before starting with RAPT so part of my role with RAPT was going around to most of the prisons in the KSS (Kent/Surrey/Sussex) area to give training on Addiction/recidivism.
I remember going to Lewis and a couple of the SOTP facilitators came to my training and I was absolutely horrified at the lack of training given to the officers and not only the NON existence of clinical supervision but total lack of information given to them of what " clinical supervision " is, their safety net.
And they are tasked to provide a w##kfest described as therapy for these people, all to tick a box designed by someone who probably has never been in the presence of evil🤯🤯🤬🤬

My ex gf knew a copper who was involved in the murder case, you don't want to know some things they did to Jamie that was omitted from the news.
I heard that.
In 1985 I was 19, I was in youth custody in Warrington for burglary. All the prison officers had to volunteer to work there.
It was a new style open prison, inmates had keys to their single rooms. No violence or substance convictions, the inmates were low level mostly car thieves. One of the tough, old time prison officers told me one evening " There's were some horrific criminals he locked up previously. Evil people, the cases were so bad the newspapers couldn't publish them " his face went grey as he said it. His job was to be locked up with them everyday. He couldn't stand it anymore
So he transferred and got work with cheeky young scousers and mancs
one thing was batteries were inserted in his anus

Both of these monsters should NEVER have been let out!! They are given new identities...why?? Thompson is out and nobody knows who he is!! Does his wife or partner actually know what he did? Hes a child murderer and should be in jail for ever!! They were treated with kid gloves. Never did jail time!! Just put into care! What justice was that for the little boy! Venables back where he belongs BUT both should never have been freed in the first place. Thompson MUST be living a lie! Who the hell would want to marry somebody like that?? It has been revealed Thompson is in a gay relationship and has not been caught doing more crimes. But pedofiles are very cunning and often get away with it for decades.
If l know the prison service cough,cough,! His name will very rapidly become known! Under the mental health act 1953, there used to be a section 70, whereby a prisoner can be sent to a secure special hospital for treatment, should the need arise ? Any time spent there did not count towards the sentence, sadly times have moved on ( not in a good way )

People tend to become desensitizing to horrendous real crime cases. I myself, have read my fair share. The James B case is one that never fails to shock, and disgust. I'd have to say it's the worst case I've ever had the misfortune to look into.

At first back in the day I was in swinfen Hall yp jail in Lichfield 1993 I think when this happened and I can remember looking at there photos and I thought that Thompson looked the leader but now I l look and think Thompson looks scared so I got it wrong venables was the leader and Thompson just followed him I hope he rots no rehabilitation for him

People thort it was Thompson who was worse because of his family life. Mother an alcoholic single parent with more children she could cope with. Thompson has never reoffended as is in a relationship with another man. Venables had loving parents and people believed Thompson was the lead instigator in baby James's horrific murder. I was 25 when these 2 degenerates did what they did. About 2017, when he was recalled to prison, a lad who was 24 at the time asked me if I remembered it, I said I did. Even though he was not born at the time, he knew all the facts of this case, he had a picture on his phone of what he looked like in 2017. It was his K.O.S. picture (Kill On Sight).
It was as illegal to have this picture, as it was the same degree of severity as having C.P. on your phone. I told him to detete it.
He knew what he looked like now, and the likelihood of him running into him was very small. Better to let someone 'Huntley' him, or 'Huckle ' him, or even 'Watkins' him.
Venables had a thing about other kids when he was a kid. So in a way he was a child-paedo.
Anyway the next time he gets before a parole board, he will either be turned down again, or deported to a commonwealth country. If not he will be getting plastic surgery, one way or the other!
I heard Thompson was gay, and had become a model citizen, and has done the best to put it all behind him.
I agree Sam, they should have been tried as adults, the severity of the crime is such, that being a kiddo, is no defence, you simply cannot say at 10, that you are too young to know the difference between right and wrong , when you consider the things they did to that poor lad.
