    Honestly, this brings me so much joy! I remember almost 10 years ago when I posted my first build on pcpartpicker list I got so much hate just mentioning I was a girl building a computer. I see a lot more women and girls visible in the space now and I'm so happy a new generation will see women building PCs unapologetically and in our "girly" aesthetic. Wonderful job with the build and video! -xo

      yes!!!!! that was the entire reason why i wanted to make this, because when i got all the parts back in february i specifically noticed that there wasn't an actual guide/tutorial by any girls?! they were all by dudes or tech channels who already expect you to have a basic understanding of pcs and what everything is, and as someone VERY new to it i had no idea what anything was! plus i just seemed to struggle to sit through some of them because the information wasn't presented in a way that kept my attention, which only confused me further 😭 i got a lot of hate on tiktok at the start of the year for my pc, but i realised half of it was just senseless misogyny like 'oh she plays kitchen simulator'?? anyways, thank you so much for such a sweet comment, it made my day! 💕💖

      It's crazy that women experience any kind of hate for taking interest in these sorts of things. Makes me happy to see more people getting into the custom PC space, and I'm helping my sister build her first computer too. It's funny because just a couple of years ago, she had absolutely 0 interest in computers, but this year she's been spending a lot of time educating herself on components. When she came to me for help, I was very excited to share what I knew, especially considering I'd tried many times before and failed to get her interested in this hobby! It makes me happy to see more and more people interested in it!

      Even though there is still some hate going on regarding girls in tech, I think the reason why we are seeing a rise is because of the aesthetics theme becoming predominantly bigger over the course of the decade and I love it. Girls can like the same thing as guys as well!

    This is coming from a person who has never built a PC themselves, but who has a boyfriend who tried to explain it to me and always fails. This is the most comprehensive and entertaining breakdown I have ever seen for my ADHD mind to absorb. The art is amazing, your visuals made it easy to follow along, your voice is smoothing, the background music was impeccably chosen, and the build wound up beautify. Great job overall, bravo.

    also, *please credit me if you make a video and take inspiration from my walkthrough!! ♡* it's always really nice seeing where i've inspired people too, so i appreciate it sm! ; v ; /
    ---------------------
    btw when i’m introducing my CPU, i made a silly mistake on the voiceover and said ‘5700X’ instead of ‘ *3700X* ’ which is what the text says!!! it’s too late to fix it now but just so that you know that i meant to say that my CPU is definitely the Ryzen 7 3700X!
    also a quick breakdown of the different FPS i get in various games, since i get asked this a lot:
    World of Warcraft (raytracing, max settings) - 100-120fps
    Genshin Impact (max, game is capped at 60) - 60fps
    GTA V (ultra) - 118fps
    Apex (ultra) - 142fps
    Valorant - (ultra) - the estimate is 261fps, but my monitor is capped at 144hz!
    …………….and apparently i could technically play minecraft at 1000fps LMAO

    • @notBeWitchy
      @notBeWitchy 3 года назад +30

      Another addition, you said in the video that you put the two ram sticks in the furthest away slots from your CPU due to heat. While these slots are the right ones, it's not due to heat. Slot A2 and B2 are usually reserved for dual channel memory, whereas A1 and B1 are reserved for single channel memory.
      Most modern motherboards will function fine even if they are in A1 and B1, but this is more relevant to older motherboards instead.
      Further all the information is pretty much correct, and the build was a nice result. For your first time editing, the style is super nice and cute so you should keep that up too ^-^

There are so few girls and women showing anything tech on YT, and I know so many want to but are worried about backlash like you seem to have gotten on tiktok. It's slow progress but you're really making a difference by not only like just existing and putting stuff out there from the building perspective, and showing off your build, but in the way you've executed everything throughout. Build, presentations, shots on pcpartpicker and omega on-point editing! Mad high quality throughout. You're really making a big difference to a lot of girls and others by just being able to see you putting tech vids out there. For me too especially. One day I'll do my video on my white and red build as well

      bless you, this comment has really made my entire day and that's extremely sweet of you to say! 🥺 i completely agree, it was near impossible to find anything made by other girls for building a pc when i went looking earlier this year and imo it felt like there was a massive gap missing!! when i posted my first tiktok of the build, i definitely WASN'T expecting it blow up like it did and the amount of trASH the boys were talking in the comments _ did_ start getting to me at one point, but for the most part i just found it kinda hilaRIOUS?? (imagine a bunch of 13 year olds saying 'kitchen simulator' or 'all this for among us' skfhndskghskg)
      i super appreciate your kind words about my editing, it feels as though all the hard work pays off when i receive comments like this, and it makes me genuinely happy to know that i could be making a difference!! i really tried my best to put my all into it, esp with the 4k footage, the animations, etc, so thank you SOOO much!!!!! 💖💕✨

    The fact you had to do a bios flashback without a post really shows the amount of effort you put into this system.

    My first PC build was incredibly similar spec wise, good job choosing parts! I went for the x-570 chipset instead of B-550 and I splurged on a 980 pro m.2 but otherwise we have like the exact same specs! Loved the video, esp if its your first edit. Keep at it. Subscribed!

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 года назад +1

      oooh, the 980 pro m.2 was my initial choice!! i ended up going for wd purely to save on costs since i was able to get a discount on it, and i’d already gone waaay over my planned budget with the monitor…. but a good colour display is crucial for me as an artist so sacrifices had to be made! ☺️
      i can’t even remember why i ended up going for the b550 instead of the x570 boards, what’re the differences like again? (its been months since i looked into it!)
      thank you so much for the sub and your kind words, i truly appreciate it!!!

      @@celestefleurs I completely get the sacrifice for your art. I mainly use my iPad Pro! I personally got a Samsung G5 to game with. I was wondering what the tablet that you have is? Looks really cool!!
      And as far as the board, I’m no expert :P, I honestly went with the Strix x-570i variant for its rgb strip built into the mobo!! But I know it has better vrms and vrm cooling for overclocking than most B-550i boards, I think my board also has 1 more m.2 port than most B550i boards 🤷‍♂️ I was planing a mini ITX build so my options were a bit limited. I was able to find a MSI 3060ti and I started out with a Ryzen 3700x but I recently upgraded to a 5600x, less cores but it has the new Zen 3 architecture and performs great for gaming! :)
      I honestly don’t know if RUclips I even has PM but if you wanna play some
      Apex or genshin sometime PM me your info :) would be cool to have a new gamer friend.

    Great video and awesome build, we need more girl pc builders! Two feedback: 1) The ram slots you need to put 2 sticks in are usually dictated by the motherboard, and will allow for dual channel and XMP - if you put them in the wrong slot your PC won’t boot up. It is not related to distance from CPU for heat avoidance. ASUS is A2 B2, but some mobos may be A1 B1, so you can’t always assume furthest away from CPu. 2) As you can tell after doing your first build, it’s better to put the PSU cables together first and attach to mobo and GPU, before adding all the fans and other things that will crowd your finger space.
    Can’t wait to see your next build!

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 года назад +4

      thank you so much, and i appreciate the feedback!!! 💕 i hope to do a full in-depth video on RAM to explain dual-channel better, but i already plan to bring it up with the build i’m currently working on ^^ (it’s a gigabyte mobo, but seems to be the same configuration still!)
      and yes, i’ve definitely realised i should’ve done the cables outside of the case hahah! the order i put things in was partly based on advice i was given, and even though it turned out to be wrong, it’s still a good learning experience imo ☺️
