Where does the fluid go. Inside the motor housing? So this is a pressure relief vent? I never knew. 🎉 So you can use a sim card removal tool. Or paperclip. My grandma's 2015 Alteema had noise 2 years ago and the fluid disappeared without a trace. I refilled it because there was noise. I guess the fluid blows past a seal somewhere..... Thank you for the tip.
I’m sorry. Before your power steering stops working make a habit of ensuring the cap can breath air. As soon as the cap plugs the whole unit fails. Mine started to whistle one when I was driving and i pulled over at gas station and used a paper clip. It’s really hard on the pump if it’s pushing and pulling against closed vent.
I would imagine all cars have that hole for the fluid to breathe because it has three lines to gauge where the fluid is on when it's cold as should be at its lowest when it's how I should be at the hive it'll be on the plastic container for the power steering
I just checked mine a 2010 nisSan Altima and the hole wasn't on the cap. It was on the top of the yellowish box. I had to clean the gunk off before making sure to puncture it.
It use to cost that much and you need to get to it before your power steering goes out. It’s the reason why do many malfunction. Not afterwards. Good day
Nice vid! Good info and a simple preventivite fix to save you from an expensive reapir. 💯
What if my 16 altima is already having rough steering. Should i try this method still?

This doesn't work.... also it doesn't cost 1000.00 to replace it.

Also buy a new cap from dealer if you replaced yours. Otherwise the new one most like won’t last long.
It 100% costs 1,000 to replace these electric power steering pumps in 2024. The pump itself is nearly $700!
@UnlimitedEmeralds I paid 90.00 at a local junkyard. So it cost me a total of 90 bucks I installed myself. So it didn't cost 1000.00
@@UnlimitedEmeraldswhere in the hell do you live?
Will this also reset the light that comes on the dash?
it will self destruct
Didn’t work
What’s still happening with your car?
