I apologize sincerely for my ignorance here, Nut I've been watching some Diorama CHannels channels quite a lot lately. The first one's I watched were about artists creating lifelike PORCHES cars with 4D pens and not using any prefabricated technology at all aside from maybe a lighting control box that game the cars actual realistic headlights High and Low beam, turn signals on the rear AND into the front mirrors and front lights! Very over the top detail!
After seeing all the procedures involved into building and baking and sanding and baking and filling and sanding and backing...etc...etc....etc and finally to apply the lacquer for the final product, it really is nothing short of a showroom finish!! It was AMAZING!
One on the second ones I watched involved on artist who had designed a Medieval Tavern included with fantasy Heroes like Barbarians, Magicians, Clerics, and Archers...etc. The second part of the project was for the second guy to add a realistic landscape all around the Tavern with small streams, some rock paths, but most importantly, the main attraction was going to be a greenish/yellow/black and white MEDIEVAL DRAGON that was going to be hovering anove at an angle towards the Tavern and firing flames towards the heroes trying to protect their local INN. The second had already had artist received a prefab dragon in all white already made to save a little time. But there was much to be made!
    Long story short:
Once the dragon was painted and intricately customized so that it could be suspended in mid air in front of the INN by a fantastic technique using piping connecting to the floor that goes all the way up to the dragon's mouth! It's a really REALLY incredible technique they use passing then wrapping neon tubing around the tuning and they extend it from the mouth of the dragon to the shield of the Barbarian who is fighting off the first flame attack while the other party members get their bows and spells ready...etc. I'm not sure what materials or techniques they use to wrap around the lighting filament, but it is super realistic!
IMHO they have the fire and glow of the fire within the swirling smoke just perfectly!
THIS FINAL POINT is what really takes it to another level! IMHO! That FIRE exploding out of the dragons mouth and being repelled by the HERO's shield really MAKES the ENTIRE thing come ALIVE!
Of course all of the other special details put into it made it that much more better. You can put all the lighting effects on a Diorama you want , but the base model has to be perfect!
So with that I say, keep up the great work!

Used to love reading horror as a teenager, Stephen king , James Herbert, Shaun Hutson and ofcourse Clive Barker . Such a distinctive iconic look and part of horror lore along with Jason and Freddy. Fantastic detail at this size and so spooky isn’t he?. Really do get a lot of bang for your buck and you could collect so many great pieces and stick to 1/12th scale collecting and have yourself a fantastic collection. Thanks for continuing to show the 1/12th scale some love , they really are fantastic, Have a great end to your week and as always mind how you go👍

Thanks as always for your comments 👍🏻 Absolutely 💯 Pinhead has entered the horror hall of fame and is up there with the best…or worst depending on your viewpoint. As always with NECA great quality and screen accuracy and no need to sell the farm to own it. I’m no scaleist 🤣 I love them all with equal affection. Take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏻

Another impressive figure from NECA. Never seen a Hellraiser movie because I have a low tolerance for gore and I heard they're pretty gruesome. But Pinhead and the other Cenobites look pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks as always for your comments and support 👍🏻 The movie definately has its moments of gore and NECA have done another outstanding job in capturing his likeness. Take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏻

NECA do it again…like you I was concerned about those pins but in hand it makes sense, anything smaller and they would have broken off way too easily. A compromise that doesn’t compromise the figure👍🏻 Take care of yourself and happy collecting.
