I never buy bredcrumbs, I always make them myself as there is nothing better than fresh. Whatever is left over i freeze and take out the amounts I need for the dish I'm making. Fresh is especially good in meatballs. I love this Italian blend you made. Thanks Linda :)
Been doing this for years. I make Italian & plain. I do it a bit different. I cut the bread into chunks & then dehydrate it...then put them in the processor. Since they're nice & dry no problems breaking them up. I could see how maybe the spices would stick more to the bread if it wasn't dry first so next time maybe I will sprinkle the bread w/ the seasoning before dehydrating. I consider this a total free-be since I use all the heals & dried out pieces of bread my family doesn't want to use!
I've been watching you videos, and I really like them. They are so informative. Thank you! :) I'm trying to find out where to purchase mylar food bags. Do you have a suggestion? Thanks.
Came across your channel yesterday while looking for something else and watched a few of your vids. Really enjoyed them so I subscribed. I didn't see a small kitchen appliance video in your uploads, do you have one and if not can you make one. I think it will be helpful for those who want to start cooking from scratch knowing what will make cooking from scratch easier.
I just put left over heals of the bread on a cookie tray and put in the oven and let dry. Blend them up.. I find fresh bread crumbs get soggie when I cook with them.. Am I doing something wrong?
big chunks of bread that have gone slighty dry or stale can be coated with a egg mixture lightly fried and then put in the bottom of a bowl of soup or stew. sorta french toast bread crumbs but in pieces.
I was kind of taken back when my friend said she didn't know how to do this which inspired me to share. It is so easy and wonderful! Hint for the next recipe is a party popper:)))
I make my own, too. I think this is a good place to share an experiment I did this week. I was hoping that by storing bread in a vacuum cannister, it would keep it from molding. It doesn't. LOL I still have hopes for breadcrumbs, if they are completely dried and then vac-packed in bags. I don't think the cannisters void all the air like the bags do.
My mother NEVER bought bread crumbs. She put leftover bread in the oven and made her own.Thumbs up and shared on FB

Dehydrate them:)
If you can’t pronounce the ingredients you should not be using it. Just a healthy tip! Use all organic seasonings my friend. 🙌🏼
