I lived in Friedrichshain in the late 90s. It was very gritty and grimy back then, but also super cheap. We heated the apartment with charcoal bricks in big ceramic ovens, like back in the 30s. Quite a memory.
I love Friedrichshain. I just recently moved to Marienfelde. I’ll have to make a video about that I suppose.
When I go to Berlin I always live in the east.

Great video! But I have to nitpick; the S-Bahn doesn't run over the Oberbaumbrücke, it's the U-Bahn (U3).
Did I say the SBahn? I meant the U-Bahn…grrr yeah the u1 and the u3
