Toho Pictures is renting out Godzilla to Legendary Pictures so they are NOT going to allow Godzilla to be killed off by them without having a replacement Godzilla. But if I do recall correctly in Godzilla vs. Kong it looked like there was some type of Godzilla-like creature in the Hollow Earth, but it was walking on four legs instead of two, so it might NOT be a member of the Godzilla species despite it looking similar to them.

Whatever happens I just want to see a couple spiral heat rays and at least one "regular" nuclear pulse to take out the next threat. It's true he always seems to get some help, but maybe in the next one he is the help and sacrifices himself with one last pulse to save Kong and the rest of the world. But you can't kill him off forever! He is the franchise and the KOTM!

I’m fairly sure Godzilla can handle more than a few Kongs if he was trying. There is a common misconception that Godzilla is weak against multiple enemies, not really, he faced to Shinomura species and beat them - the only reason the Muto where winning is because they were biologically evolved to defeat Gojiras

I think that if the Kong species manage to kill Godzilla after fighting Mecha-King Ghidorah, it would be cool to see Destoroyah rise up in another movie were the Kong species are unable to defeat it, making them seek for Mothra by discovering that she has an ability to revive Godzilla since they are symbiotic species. After that, Godzilla, the Kongs and Mothra will face Destoroyah.
I highly doubt Legendary will kill Godzilla but if they do. Cut to credits showing that humankind took to the stars and have started to return home, and the interactions with the Titans as we resettle the Earth, with more understanding of keeping a balance.

From my understanding there were two rules Toho set for legendary if they were to use Godzilla. One, Godzilla cannot emote. Well we already seen that ignored in GvK. Clearly he got joy out of hitting Kong with his atomic breath. Two, Godzilla cannot die. I find the last one to be hard to sneak past them.

Nowadays, Hollywood seems to have a trend of having characters die as the "perfect send-off" rather than let them "walk into the sunset". We've seen it with Logan, Caesar, Luke Skywalker, James Bond, John Wick (Though I'm calling on that being a fake-out in the fifth film and he'll proceed with business as usual). They're probably also gonna do this to Indiana Jones in his fifth and final film and Dom Toretto as well when Fast ends. Because apparently Hollywood can't let characters have their "happy endings".

if (and hopefully when, as it would be truly a crucial moment in the expanding of the monsterverse) godzilla dies, it should be against destoroyah, considering they've already had many things set up to introduce destoroyah and they'd probably make billions just from the og fans dying to see the film and the recreation of the demon. Godzilla won't be killed off. Godzilla has so much plot armor, it's impossible. Toho would never alot their prime mascot and image to be harmed in such a way, unless they had a different iteration in the works to take Godzillas place. Godzilla evolves with the times. It's how he stays relevant.

He should fight destoroyah in the final movie. He should then die from brutal injuries. This is where godzilla junior could be introduced in the monsterverse. A movie called son of godzilla could be made. In the final movie, godzilla junior should be fully grown and take his fathers throne. This means godzilla should have no plot armour if hes gonna die from those injuries. He should go full mode on destoroyah. He forces himself to fight back when he is almost down. Godzilla and the Kong’s fight thinking he is the great evil and then it is revealed the destroyah was the ancient evil and they have a tag team, but then Godzilla becomes burning Godzilla one last time and sacrifices himself after giving the title of king to Kong and his new family! 5 years have passed and the Kong’s protect the surface and hollow earth but then a little roar is heard and along discovers a baby Godzilla!

The difference between MCU's Iron Man death and the potential MonsterVerse Godzilla death is I think in my opinion, very different. Iron Man was loved by MANY people, but there were also many other superheroes people loved as well, Spiderman, Hulk, Thor etc. However in MonsterVerse, we only have Godzilla and Kong as our heroes, a lot of people love Behemoth but I don't expect Behemoth to become a major hero in the MonsterVerse. If they kill off Godzilla, burn his life into the eternals forever, we only have Kong, and some ultra Kong fans might say that's fine, but whats the point of a "MonsterVerse" with only one monster protaganist?

These are all cool theories and concepts but if the G-man were to die,, my support of the monster verse would go with it because Kong is cool and all But the fact that he has characteristics of a modern day gorilla means there is not much wonder to him because he comes off as a titan in size alone,, Godzilla is a true mythical beast/titan and what’s a King to a God!?

From my understanding there were two rules Toho set for legendary if they were to use Godzilla. One, Godzilla cannot emote. Well we already seen that ignored in GvK. Clearly he got joy out of hitting Kong with his atomic breath. Two, Godzilla cannot die. I find the last one to be hard to sneak past them.
My thoughts on this is I think Godzilla does deserve a hero is death but further down the line not in this movie.

Nowadays, Hollywood seems to have a trend of having characters die as the "perfect send-off" rather than let them "walk into the sunset".
We've seen it with Logan, Caesar, Luke Skywalker, James Bond, John Wick (Though I'm calling on that being a fake-out in the fifth film and he'll proceed with business as usual). They're probably also gonna do this to Indiana Jones in his fifth and final film and Dom Toretto as well when Fast ends. Because apparently Hollywood can't let characters have their "happy endings".

if (and hopefully when, as it would be truly a crucial moment in the expanding of the monsterverse) godzilla dies, it should be against destoroyah, considering they've already had many things set up to introduce destoroyah and they'd probably make billions just from the og fans dying to see the film and the recreation of the demon. BUT, when he dies, he must have offspring to take his place once he passes, this has been the number 1 rule in terms of godzilla dying for toho throughout the years and i would love a movie where godzilla cares less for protecting the earth, but rather just protecting his child, and therefore sacrifices himself to kill the enemy, potentially after said child was brutally murdered, and his heroic sacrifice somehow makes his child come back from the dead, just like in godzilla vs destoroyah where heisei gojira goes into a full nuclear meltdown just like we've seen in godzilla king of the monsters and the intense radiation revives godzilla junior at the very end of the movie after destoroyah has been eradicated.
Titanus Gojira are forces of nature but still they are animals very god-like but still animals and a titan dying of old age unless if it's a kong which can live for thousands maybe even more titans dying of old age especially godzillas is very rare
Godzilla won't be killed off. Godzilla has so much plot armor, it's impossible. Toho would never alot their prime mascot and image to be harmed in such a way, unless they had a different iteration in the works to take Godzillas place.
Godzilla evolves with the times. It's how he stays relevant.

I would think he dies from Dest but they leave a cliffhanger with Godzilla Junior, with Junior taking over where Godzilla left off, it’s sort of like Godzilla Junior and Godzilla swapped places in Godzilla vs Destoroyah, with Godzilla dying instead of Junior, Junior than uses the energy that his father released and uses that to kill Dest, although I’m not sure how Kong fit in here, Who knows maybe Kong will adopt Junior wouldn’t that be cool, maybe then can the Titanus Gojira and Titanus Kong species actually come together to form peace

He should fight destoroyah in the final movie. He should then die from brutal injuries. This is where godzilla junior could be introduced in the monsterverse. A movie called son of godzilla could be made. In the final movie, godzilla junior should be fully grown and take his fathers throne. This means godzilla should have no plot armour if hes gonna die from those injuries. He should go full mode on destoroyah. He forces himself to fight back when he is almost down. Godzilla and the Kong’s fight thinking he is the great evil and then it is revealed the destroyah was the ancient evil and they have a tag team, but then Godzilla becomes burning Godzilla one last time and sacrifices himself after giving the title of king to Kong and his new family! 5 years have passed and the Kong’s protect the surface and hollow earth but then a little roar is heard and along discovers a baby Godzilla!
Origins could allude to finding a baby Godzilla who will take Godzilla's place in a future movie.

How bout if they throw us a curveball and somehow Godzilla does die, but we also find out that there's already a younger Godzilla living within the Hollow Earth somewhere and Kong takes him under his wing and "adopts" and raises him to honor Big G?!?! As much as I understand that killing Godzilla off would be very heartfelt and emotional impactful, I personally would like to see him die, travel through the depths of hell to regain his powers, find the entrance to Earth, and be reborn in a newly adapted version of himself.

The difference between MCU's Iron Man death and the potential MonsterVerse Godzilla death is I think in my opinion, very different. Iron Man was loved by MANY people, but there were also many other superheroes people loved as well, Spiderman, Hulk, Thor etc. However in MonsterVerse, we only have Godzilla and Kong as our heroes, a lot of people love Behemoth but I don't expect Behemoth to become a major hero in the MonsterVerse. If they kill off Godzilla, burn his life into the eternals forever, we only have Kong, and some ultra Kong fans might say that's fine, but whats the point of a "MonsterVerse" with only one monster protaganist?

And in the titan war part II Godzilla would fight destroyah and use his remaining power to take him out but die heroically in the process.
