- Long heralded as the fastest model railway locomotive around, I thought I'd take the opportunity to properly, accurately and scientifically test its reputation. I could not have foreseen the results. Enjoy!

LOL! Thought the Pocket Rocks were capable of time travel!
LMFAO!! Very hilarious! Well played! Happy New Year to you too!
Fantastic video, Will! The are speedy. It would be interesting to see what the other pugs are capable of. Happy new year! Cameron

Nice to hear the Smurfs helping you out.
Nice! That locomotive disappeared out of no where!!!! LOL!!!
That was awesome mate! Love it! I'm about to get that type of 040 cause I am with the collectors club, and that is this years locomotive in BR livery!
Love it. A truly fantastic idea.
Very clever, love the special effects....
Hahaha this made me chuckle! I bet that fireman was working hard!
I love the BTTF bit you did with the pocket rocket, I have one my self, its a Athearn Hustler, it moves, your vid made me laugh so hard when it rocketed off the tracks....
Keep on making videos like this one :)
Very cleverly done - thanks.
Back to the future.... ah yes that EIPC BEAST movie, love it.
Very cute! I loved it!!
haha, great vid! hilarious!! imagine being scale size inside the cab D:
LOL!!! Brilliant! And well done!
that was sick!! I loved it will!!!
Great video. That was some speed.
Great Clip Will..
Production values alive and well! You have truly outdone yourself. . .and proven you are utterly mad! I was going to suggest trying what we had in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Athearn locos had what they called "Hi-F" drive. It was an open frame motor, bare metal bars sticking out each side, and rubber bands stretched around those drive shafts and the extra large axles. We called them "rocket sleds", as the speeds were fast, faster, and rocket-like. They would give the pocket rocket a run for its money. Until the rubber bands broke.
Very funny ... It seems like in the movie "Back to the future" (M. J. Fox) :D
Awesome video!!!
Great video
Has there every been someone so awesome
loving the fire
Lol! I love your videos!
Best video yet!!!
LOL, I think your telephone pole's are absolute genius idea's to get the wire across the room.
So good that even my 11 month old watched it a few times.
love this!!
Very Entertaining buddy.Your the best/!
LOOL! Great Vid.
Legend has it that every single "Pocket Rocket" will do this in it's lifetime.
Doctor82
is that a future feature length video?? back to the workshops? haha great video :D:D
I love this video
Pretty awesome
Oh very good liked that. Bet it took a while to do all those special effects.
Love it!
Oh so thats where Back To The Future went, they replaced the DeLoren with a Midland Railway 040. I enjoyed that, keep up the good work. Do not exceed 90mph yeah, 88mph is going back in time lol
Great video, Cheers Stu @ Lime Junction (N Gauge)
lol nice editin lol like the platform cam lol
My son wanted me to tell you how much he likes your videos! He's six and now wants to time travel on the pocket rocket.
your nact for cinematics has netted you a sub.
Have you ever thought of doing comedy instead of trains? That was hilarious!
Haha brilliant! When's the review on the dapol pug coming up? Happy new year btw ;)
wow ! what a video will
Hahaha I so love this video. Watched it many times. How do you do it?
Love it, just love it, made me lol , Doc must of fitted a flux capacitor to it instead of a dcc decoder, must of went back to 1985 or 1982 & returned again.
I think this has entered the realms of fantasy! mine never went that fast! (Seriously, very entertaining)
I think a speed race of the Pacifics would be nice.
I mention this as I have a 30 year old Flying Scotsman and it is putting in better times than most of my newer ones apart from Golden Eagle and Blink Bonny.
Great video Will!! As per usual :-) Could you please do a review on a class 158 as I see them all the time and wondered if you would recommend a model 158.
I find it funny that you worry about the 0-4-0 more than the fire
2:35 I used to have that in lms brown livery
HAHAHA, love it!
LOL! back to the railway's future!
Awesome lol !
It has not vanished, only broke the speed of light barrier...WOW
A entertaining video will, your acting may need some work, but good none the less, also, will there be an update on your full layout, as we were promised one a few years ago and it didnt turn up
03:20
back to the future
great video will happy new year to you hope 2014 is a good one for you :D
John DC
When will you do a video on your finished n-gauge layout in your office.
It is quite common for 0-4-0 to do this. :)
You should do like a time traveling adventure though like going to see the Mallard's World Record attempt and so on! because THAT would be something to see
4.35 guess who's back, back again
Happy new year!!
The Dr Has a New TARDIS :-D
X-TREME AND IM NOT JOKING!!!
2:18 I have that Caledonian railway 040 out on the shelf on model railway!
This Video real is a good Video InterCity82 ., but I would have actually liked to see a proper Speed Test on an 0-4-0 Locomotive just like you did with the Virgin Trains Pendolino when it clocked 180mph in real life in the first IC82 Xtreme Series Video that was Uploaded 1 Year Ago. Still for a Christmas Special it really is a good Video, but I still would like to see a proper Video for an 0-4-0 Locomotive Speed Test with out the 0-4-0 Locomotive disappearing into Time Travel. Anyway, it's still an amazing Video and liked the sounds you edited in and the scenes of it on fire and then the Locomotive disappearing, and then finally when you put the camera down on the conservatory floor and you run off into the house to find Craig, it returns from some Time Travel! Anyway, like said earlier on in this Comment, I still would like you to re-try making this Video with out the 0-4-0 Locomotive that you use disappearing into Time Travel! I also liked the scenes before the 0-4-0 Speed Test started where you where checking if the track was safe to proceed the test with Guard who was look at several CCTV Camera views checking the track on the whole Layout was clear all the way round that circuit you where using. I also liked you acting as the Guard's voice as if was talking into Radio. That was cool.
Back to the PAST !!!!! Dun dun dunnnnn
Will if you could get your hands on a hornby networker that would be awsome very food but may be hard to find
when are you bring'in out another video will! make it soon!
That particular model you have is faster than my 0-4-0 smokey joe
Never go 88 mph or else that's back in time
Back To The Future 3
Will when are some more vids coming out
I thought for a minute, you'd destroyed the Pocket Rocket. But then she reappeared. Perhaps she can time travel. I've never seen this on youtube before, and find it weird. Oh well, at least little Pocket Rocket is still in one piece.
Thx
Back To The Future... 88mph... LOL
Awesome the pug must have got to 88mph lol back to the future 3 was my favorite id say you could guess why
LOL! I think Hornby has geared some of their newer 0-4-0s slightly slower
This isn't back to the future you know Phil ;)
lol that was a cool funny vid.
BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!!!!
Hey Will if you have the real layout is the temporary layout going away? And are you going to do the reviews on the real layout?
For her, the trip was instantaneous; she must've had a plutonium-powered flux capacitor installed, so that when she hit 88 miles an hour, the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity required for the flux capacitor to function had been generated.
I've been waiting to say this for a long time, but the Pocket Rocket is the FIRST MODEL LOCOMOTIVE TO TRAVEL THROUGH TIME!!!!!!!!!
Iron Horse Studios she needed 3/4 throttle
Still, 1.21 gigawatts of electricity required to power a flux capacitor that had been installed in a model locomotive traveling at 88 mph, that's a momentous achievement.
Can you please do a video were all of your trains run?
how do you do the radio sfx
i like the concept. but you can definitely see it n the shelf at 3:59
I never had known that little qute loco could go that fast!!!
Excellent video, what kind of software did you use to make this video?
it's gone back... to the future
