    Instead of using logo in your prompts, try "identification symbol". Also at the end of the prompt use " -- no text". You will get logos with far less text in comparison to the word "logo".

    • @mreflow
      @mreflow  Год назад +34

      The "--no text" prompt doesn't seem to work in MJ Version 4 unfortunately. I tried multiple times and couldn't get it to negative out the text. However, negative weights do seem to do ok. Add "Text::-1" inside the prompt was much more effective than "--no text"

    I think AI for those business owners that aren’t artists… will be a great tool for them to lay out ideas quickly, but none of these examples in the video are really a “logo” to me. More so just clean illustrations. Logo and business branding need an actual human eye to make it right for each individual project. Concept art? AI is already taking over that area of expertise, any other Avenue or graphic design? I think AI has a ways to go before it’s any where near the quality of a professional graphic designer.

    If it's just an inspiration we're looking for, there's big damn world out there to get that from. And if the user is a non-designer, then editing this one to make it usable is another heck of a task.

    If only we could get layered output from these AI tools, now that would be a total game changer. Being able to export from MidJourney (et al) as an eps or similar would allow you to edit easily and quickly. I'm sure this will happen fairly soon 🤞

    To all the people thinking of 'making logos' this way, please don't. I'm sure MidJourney is great for coming up with ideas, but they're just that... ideas. The resolution of your created .jpeg logo is way too small to be used commercially, especially at a print DPI of 300. You would have to create the logo in MidJourney and vector the logo yourself inside of Illustrator so that the vector can be resized and adjusted. In the future, if MidJourney spits out true .SVG files, then I'd be curious.

There was one that had several prompts that I sold or used as examples, and I also used the prompts to create images and sell them on stock image sites for companies in my city to print on shirts. I also do online stuff like print on demand and I can make around $800 to $1260 a week by combining everything. Sometimes it's only per month (unfortunately). I can help anyone who wants to learn.

    If you are making little graphics for a local 'Mom & Pop' business fine. But be careful handing over generic looking AI generated stuff to a larger business. First of all you will need a quality vector conversion, nobody can use PNG logos professionally. Auto-trace won't cut it as is leaves hundreds of messy anchor points, others working with your files will notice this and it screams amateur, that would be unacceptable to a client in the know. Also in general logo marks/brand assets need to be copyrightable and if the AI is pulling ideas from everywhere you should check for similarity in the same industry. At the moment in the US copyright can be obtained if the final works is not exactly the same as the AI generated result and it needs to be altered. But this is still not clear in terms of branding and logos. My advice, use these for inspiration and a variety of ideas then redraw your own versions. But regardless, great demo and proof of concept.

    Logo design or brand design is a thoughtful process of analysis, research, development, testing and technical skills that cannot be ever done by AI. These designs you've done work good as illustrations and they certainly look good, but they are nothing else than that. A brand design must meet a different criteria than just look "full of details, colors and shapes and figures and shadows". A logo design is the solving of a problem with strategy and real world application knowledge. for example you said in a comment that this is easily scalable, just up scale it and down scale it. Well that's one of the basics of what NOT to do to a logo if it doesn't meet the technical criteria. A logo that is complex can only be complex at a certain size, a complex logo must be simplified by steps in order to be down scaled and that simplification will vary depending on the size AND media. What i'm saying is that these designs are too far away from being a functionaly working brand but they will surely look good as illustration symbols. Don't ever confuse logo / brand with illustraitions. For example Nike, Apple, Shell, Coca Cola, etc are logos / brands, but the design of a coin "face of a person with numbers and lots of details" are closer to what you've designed here and are more destined to work as symbolic illustrations than work as logos. Please don't get me wrong, I think the designs shown here look great for something done by just typing words, but they shouldn't be labeled as logos because they are not. Sorry if my comment seeems harsh, didn't mean to be irritating, just that I've worked on redesigning a lot of brands that had "logos" like this before and those people "didn't know" why their brand wasn't working. If anyone here wants an advice, If you take your project seriously and want to take it to the real world please look for a professional designer to create your brand / logo and you won't regret.

      Well said. But most that jump on the AI train will not or won’t understand what’s your statement. We will see TONS of cheap designs like these ones in 2023 … and then people wich focus ob quality will do it exactly as we do it today … professional and not this Mickey Mouse bullshit. First trap they all run into: all that generated stuff is just pixels. If the client want that on a truck, building or billboard these AI guys are all screwed.

      You sir, are a light in the dark in these comments. I was thinking the same thing about these "logos." I think this tool will have a certain place in graphic design in the future for concepting and sketching but by no means is it delivering the same product that a professional would. I see many comments asking why these won't export in vector or why the text isn't reading properly. It's very eye opening to see that most don't want to use this to concept and start a project, they want to use it to finish a project. At the current state of these AI programs that's just not possible.

    • @GoDiMoNsTeR
      @GoDiMoNsTeR Год назад

      @@Bones-1L35 I get what you and @Sergio meant. Of course the job delivered by a professional is better, but the gap is noticeably closing. If AI is doing this level of detail now, how long do you think it will take until it does export a graphics vector? Plus, for example, I needed a quick logo to set up a Shopify store, and what the AI provided, I upscaled with another AI, and it more than capable of meeting the very low requirements of that use case.

    Why is everyone complaining about the logos!? As a graphic designer some of these actually look really great so I don't get it

    If the AI could make the image with all it's layers so it can be moved into photoshop and editied it would make it so much better.

    I had no idea that it was possible to create a LOGO with AI. This is amazing, such top tier content ! What are your thoughts on BlueWillow ? Can I use it in this process?
