I tried to send my son to school with a lunch the first day of school. They sent it back and told him to tell me he didn't need a lunch because lunches are free. Broke my heart lol
Are these portions enough for kids? As in are they filling enough? These aren't things that i usually eat (other than the veggies obviously) so I'm curious.... I usually used to take 2 rotis and a sabzi/curry.

So like the thing I never got is why schools don’t provide microwaves. Like it’s either cold lunch or their slop, and I’m pretty sure they do that on purpose so students won’t have much of a choice. It’s kinda inhumane? They want kids to eat a large variety of food but don’t facilitate it. As an adult if I wasn’t given access to a microwave in my break room my union would riot LOL
