Jake I must say you are an amazing person! this would be absolutely amazing. I have been pipe welding in cheese plants for 5 years and learned everything on my own. Worked my way up from being a grunt. Knowledge is power! I think it's awesome that your busting your ass to teach others. if you ever need any help or donations in money or consumables to fund this let me know. it would be an honor to help. stay blessed!
That's a really cool idea to help people learn to weld and get some huge networking on both ends. I'm going to welding school here pretty directly. Hopefully I'll get into the next group of guys. You are letting people experience a lot of things that there not familiar with. Some people may want to weld but haven't ever welded. It might steer them into the right direction even if they are not going to decide to weld. It will help them understand what all is involved with the career. Good Job on this. I sent you a friend request on Facebook as well.
ROCK SOLID RELIABILITY.... thats why my fleet is a 1991 e350 4.9 L6 w/ C6 1995 f150 4.9 L6 w/ E4od & my baby i built 2005 Chevy express 3500 6L V8 lq9 4l80E!! im 29 as a journeyman plumber i own 3 vehicles 2 vans 1 truck. when i buy a vehicle it must meet 1 criteria and anything ealse is a bonus....
Build a second truck and park it somewhere safe. Back home in Idaho. When stuff like this comes up you can fly home. Get the truck and boom your back in business. That sounds a lot cheaper to me.
Great idea, im a combo welder in the refineries right now. But ive been wanting to rig out on my truck and go to pipeline. There's no better training than hands on and i would like some tips on downhill welding. Hope everything works out well for you guys and things kick off soon, sign me up.
Man, I know this is an old video, but I just wanted to say thanks for being a damned good person. I'm just a welding student working on my second start in life, and it's good to know there are great folks out there in the welding world. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there willing to screw someone over, but good folks like you bring some balance. If I were planning on pulling up roots and moving to a new state, I'd be giving you a call. Keep making good things happen for folks!
you guys are good people, you really do lift people up, god bless you both. i just got my first welding job a few days ago and i love it. makes me wanna get other people into welding too lol
You're a class act brother! Out here in Los Angeles about to get my D1.1. Just got the 4G to master but I don't have a consistent approach on each practice plate coupon. Need a mentor like you guys. Your channel is GENUINE and would be honored to learn from you guys and also get the heck out of LA for a two day experience to be around good people with KNOWLEDGE. You're a good dude and you tell it like it is. I got an ESAB inverter and 100ft 6 AWG 50 AMP cable with 7018's for days. If you still are doing that. I'm interested. Keep up the great post!!!!
I’m squared away rig welding in Oklahoma and have run my own business for a decade now. I mainly weld structure (bridges these days) but have spent many days in the patch myself. I like staying close to mommas bean pot so I don’t travel as much anymore, but I have to say I watch you because I learn a lot from you. You have an easy way of telling how it is. If you’re ever over in the nations and need to get in near Tulsa for a pit Stop or anything like this let Me know. We have plenty of room and it would be an honor to have you. Your attitude about the trade I love is spot on. Keep going brother.
Man, that is awesome. Thank you for stepping up and going out of your way to help them learn. Good job bro! I'm probably older than you and just looking to get good enough to build some things and make necessary repairs, so I don't think I'd fit the bill for this, but definitely sounds like good fun. It would be an incredible opportunity to know someone like you. I know you will have a huge positive impact on these kids that take you up on the offer. I know you will be blessed even further because of it.
dude thats a great plan man, that would be awsome to get tought the right way by you guys... camt wait until yall start doing that, hope it works out bc i woukd defiantly be intersted in coming there and get tips on how to do everything with you guys. i weld in a fab shop bow and we mainly do 90% tig and dont get me wrong i love it, but i really wanna learn to weld pipe.
I got out of a 20 week welding program in June and was planninng on taking their pipe welding course but they are not running it anymore, I'd love to get some more practice on pipe and make sure I'm practicing good habbits
man i really was hoping I could but the money it would cost you guys and the time it would cost me would not be worth it when other schools cvan do it so much more cheaper and devote a lot more time to you guys
I'm down I live in Utah just finished welding school school. but they didn't really offer pipe. if we have till October that sounds awesome! I'm down .
Wish I heard about this two years ago coming out of the Marine Corps. You're doing and amazing service man. Maaaannnnnnn if I had the money for flights I'd so be down. Got a useless Associates Degree in welding technology that isn't getting me anywhere. You're dead on my dude. Damn near impossible to practice something you don't know how to do.
I'm a welder at a scrap yard welding high pressure hydraulic cylinders and stuff like that I was a pipeliner for 4 years as an operator . I'd like to get back in it anyleads would be greatly appreciated I want to be a helper for now then bust out later on
Should have used the forklift at work to take off the machine and leads and leave it at the jobsite and use Jed's pickup to get back and forth to work til your rig is back up and running
Johnny's Toy Reviews how? If it dosnt drive how do I get there to pull it off hahah. Just wish we had a piece of equipment we could of pulled it off. But no worries it's fixed and we are rolling down the road.
yeah that's too bad about your truck man for what you're missing out on I think it would be better to go ahead and rig up another truck if I had that option that's what I would do that's a good deal you going to do man quite impressive actually
Shoot if I'm not doing much that weekend that would want to training , I wouldn't mind coming up that weekend and let guy run of my 305G . I know it's not a sa .
Awesome idea. I'll come down for sure from North Carolina. If u teach us on your machine would we still be able to practice it the way u show us on a smaller machine at home or does it have to be a machine like yours?
Martin Ollis it's going to be a little different on a smaller machine but it's do able. But once you kinda have an idea on how to run the rods you will be able to practice the right way. When you are here you will practice with the machines we go to work with every day.
Truely awesome opportunity Idk how old this video is ,but that is a true tradesmen, I am a new welder roughly three years experience counting school and I think that would be an awesome opportunity for someone.
God bless you Jacob You are so positive and always looking to help everyone getting in that trade. If you guys are ever down south just holla I'd love to meet you guys. God be with u guys always.
BOOK OUT I got to get that part figured out it's going to cost me about 20,000 of my own money to get all the equipment pipe consumables things like that so we will figure out a per person price by October.
Jake I must say you are an amazing person! this would be absolutely amazing. I have been pipe welding in cheese plants for 5 years and learned everything on my own. That's why you dont use a flat bed truck. Skid trucks are more versatile because you can throw it into a visa truck and keep your job..
