He was concerned about my health and wanted me to listen to a healing tape he had and through special earphones. He could hardly pick up the CD player so I grabbed it from him. How extensively kind he was. He passed away 3 weeks later. I still miss him.
You are pointing out exactly what Christ pointed out: "Not all who call me Lord will be sent to Heaven" But your friend rejected Jesus, so he is suffering in eternal Hell now. You will too if you don't humble yourself.

Yeah, you don't say 'ah!' when someone says you have a big mouth ...
@@millionsasone you JUST proved her point by being harsh when she shared something deeply personal. She was talking about compassion and kindness and someone she misses who passed away. I assume by your comment that you are a Christian. You could have tried to share the Gospel with her in a loving way and just tell her what you want to share but you started out referring to her friend suffering in hell...??! Really? A lot of people reject the notion of Christianity because of their experience with people who claim to know Christ but don't act like him at all
The giving way or way of Service is Jesus way
@@faraboverubieskerry Thank you for what you said and your support of me. You are absolutely right that many persons are moving away from God/Christ because of the "bad" examples of people who claim to be Christians. I have read that over and over in comment sections. Many persons have quit going to church and stopped believing in God because of the example of unChristianlike behavior of religious Christians.
If Evangelicals are openly repudiating the teachings of Christ, they have no right to call themselves Christians. This is not simple misunderstanding, or ignorance, or delusion. This is deliberately rejecting the God from whose grace they claim their salvation. That golden idol of Donald Trump is what they really pray to. And their holy book relates how well things turned out for other followers of their God who made that choice.
Jesus was a socialist. He was about love, giving love. Today's evangelicals wouldn't agree with him.
Socialism isn't about giving though; it's about forcefully taking and distributing.
Conservatives believe that they need to ask "what would Jesus do?" and then do the opposite.
@kylekyle9618 Comfort the sick = "Let them die." Welcome stranger = "Build that wall." Beware of practicing your piety before others = "I am holier than thou." Do not judge = "You, all of you, are beneath me." (oh, sorry that last was Loki)
There is no hate as strong as "Christian Love".
True Christian love is being selfless
Bingo. We are atheists and care for our disabled family members in our home. Yet my wealthy super religious family members put my blind aunt into an institution after living in her only home for 70 years and lost both parents. She has 10 siblings that live 5 miles away and all have $$$ so did my blind aunt but she needed help. Moral is money does equate to acting moral, just because you go to church on Sundays. We do the caregiving work, don't even have their kind of money and we would never allow our loved ones to be taken care of by strangers and not having a family and home to live in. Oh the irony these days.
So these days Jesus is not "Christian" enough for evangelicals? Or could it be that US evangelicals are not Christian at all?
Those right winners aren't Christians They are liars heretics and Deceivers.

You hit the nail on the head.
Most atheists are better Christians than evangelicals.
Almost all hate is forwarded by religion.

It's done so cleverly that human kind will never get wise to this gimmick.
Nahh hate is from sin in humans
I've always been so confused to see how conversatives are so Christians in name only.
Can't think of anything conservative in the message of Jesus Christ.
You could find some conservative parts in Paul.
As a Christian, I find this to be one of the most profound commentaries on the state of the church today. I know neither Cenk nor Ana are believers in Christ, yet they defend Jesus' teachings better than a lot of pastors.

we all know evangelists prefer the devil...
We know no such thing
The greatest trick the Devil ever played was not convincing the world that he does not exist; it was convincing Evangelicals tha he is God.
I was born a Mormon. But you don’t get to pick your heritage. I became agnostic by the time I was in my teens and a full-blown atheist by my 30s to be honest it’s Christians who convinced me that there was little to nothing factual about their faith. Now I’m in my late 60s when all my religious acquaintances have told me that I will have a change of heart. If anything, I’m more convinced now than ever that religion is an invention of man to control man.
Absolutely.
You were born as a person that has free will. You were indoctrinated into that religion.
It always has been. The roman catholic church was invented for that reason. To control the multitudes that were become believers in another concept other than political leaders. The leaders in Rome in the day made a decision to start a religion to be the first unified religion known, and called it The Roman Catholic Church. This then brought the sheep back under control as they were drifting away. And from there the Anglican who protested/ Protestant religion appeared. Control for those who weren't off the Roman language.

Did Jesus love guns? Did he pack heat? or Did he spread love. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to go to heaven.
Democracy is also a liberal idea .
Jesus was a Jew so when they condone people chanting "Jews will not replace us" and call these bigots good people, proves they do not follow the teachings of Jesus.
Evangelicals rarely quote the words of Christ, usually they pick and choose from the old testament

This isn't the first time the words of Jesus have been ignored our outright changed in order that someone can grab power or money or on and on and on...
This is EXACTLY what the Nazis said about Jesus.
As a Christian who attempts to be guided by the teaching of Jesus I’ve been appalled by the actions of most evangelicals for years. They stopped preaching the gospel a long time ago. The Bible warns us about false idols and we are reaping the consequences of the loud establishment’s actions.
Right! Who can forget about Jim and Tammy Faye or Jimmy Swaggert! Talk about circus acts! They did A LOT to hurt faith and ministry by making a mockery out of it and driving many people away from faith and God.
False idols? OMG you are so dumb you are talking about Trump lmao. If anything Christians believe Trump is a tool of god like Noah. I highly doubt you are christian.
The modern Christian church has worked away from Jesus lessons and more toward Paul’s fake made up BS

That's my Man! (NOT) Jesus was an unattractive Jew who spent most of his time dissing the religious leaders of the day and asking people to love the unloved, the weak, the naked, the hungry, those in prison, widows, orphans, etc. I think the Neo-Conservatives of today missed a few scripture readings.
It reminds me of Jordan Peterson's perplexity at the phrase "The meek shall inherit the Earth", which obvoiusly is at odds with his conservative worldview. After agonising over this for months, in typical Peterson cherry picking style he found some obscure translation of a word that sounded like meek and meant something else - rather ignoring that the actual phrase is completely in keeping with everything Jesus said. You are right, it's not just evangelicals.
The sad fact is that predatory preachers have been in place for decades, especially in the evangelical system. My dad used to talk about the evangelical tent gatherings his mom dragged his siblings and him to as children. What he saw there turned him against organized religion this whole life. Some of the tales he told about those preachers was chilling. Certain types seem to be attracted to those positions for the power and opportunity to harm.
Jesus was anti-capitalist. The only time Jesus ever expressed anger in the bible was when he was walking through the marketplace and seeing merchants selling fake goods, trinkets, making false claims, snake oil salespeople, witnessing auctions etc. He was so enraged that he started knocking over the display stands, flipping tables, tearing down sales tents and damaging goods. He was appalled (to put it mildly).
Imagine his reaction today over televangelist that brag about being multi millionaires with private airports.
But pay zero taxs.
Because they serve him.
He also cursed a tree that did not bear fruit and he called the Pharisees bad names
That's pushing it... his problem wasn't with people selling stuff or whatever, it was where they were doing it!! It wasn't the marketplace, it was inside the temple. Otherwise he was forgiving with every occupation, even those that were probably corrupt.
@@Bayard1503 I'm talking specifically about the rich, the televangelist, the bragging multi millionaire that uses religion as a crutch to pay no taxes and enjoy obscene wealth.
