Upshift and downshift without the using clutch and getting rpm and jacobs spot on is a skill not many drivers can do, these are the top guns of trucking

Next to Mack's own engines, the C15 is an all time favourite. finding someone who makes this look so fluid, and it is, is rare indeed. Well done Sir.

Love the turbo noise in a C15. Mate, I teach this with Roadrangers in Perth. I wish I could get my students to take it easy in the lower box like you do here. Smooth as bro.

What do you mean by "taking it easy"?

@gsd4me00 not going full throttle on the lower gears, just get it moving.

Yeah, you see that all the time, it's like a drag race for a lot of drivers. But when you're not paying the bills... 😕

The factory that makes those Little Tree air fresheners is along US30, just west of Clinton, Iowa.

Drove a mack dump truck for one day in didn't get use to it until the last run heading back to the yard. the thing with it is you gotta wait for the rpm to drop low when floating and i found it weird how you can reverse in any gear lol. but im not really a big fan of it some guys love em, eaton 18918b or the 20918 all day for me. that 550 sounds awesome by the way

I'm not very familiar with Mack, do they continue to produce their own engines?

Whats your method of getting into a lower gear for rolling stops? I can get up and down gears fine but rolling stops I seem to grind a little bit, when a red light goes green and I’ve either just flicked into nuetral or still in a high range gear, thanks.

Take off from first gear ( using full gears)up to the top box and write down what speed you’re doing in each gear @1500 rev’s…Stick it on the dash, where u can see it….
When you’re in traffic next look at road speed- your cheat sheet and rev to your 1500 rpm to find a gear. After awhile you’ll memorise it.. Hope this helps 👍

Also slowly reving it up against the gate ( not hard ) just so you can feel when it wants to go in…
Most of the time little to no clutch is used

Do you really need those snorkels? I can't imagine that truck driving through water deep enough to need them. Not moving water anyway. Seems like an unnecessary waste

The high air intake is not for crossing water, it is for getting the intake up high for clean, cool dense air. Most air intakes mounted at bonnet height, tend to get a lot of dirt and shit blown up from the front wheels as well as heat from the road and under bonnet heat. More so of a problem when out west with dirt roads.
