Good job
The factory that makes those Little Tree air fresheners is along US30, just west of Clinton, Iowa.
We will never get this much badassery from an electric vehicle
Beautiful superliner Tex Smooth driving.
Closest thing to actually being there, I swear I can feel the vibration
It's a good thing having a convo with the camera on. Something to do on the long stretch. Any good yarns? 🤙
I find the X15 performs better under high revs when it's working
Ooooooof pussy power love them cats 💪
This video is proof electric vehicles will never be as cool as gas powered vehicles
That turbo sounds like heaven
Great work very smooth shifting, I keep coming back to this vid
Do you really need those snorkels? I can't imagine that truck driving through water deep enough to need them. Not moving water anyway. Seems like an unnecessary waste
The high air intake is not for crossing water, it is for getting the intake up high for clean, cool dense air. Most air intakes mounted at bonnet height, tend to get a lot of dirt and shit blown up from the front wheels as well as heat from the road and under bonnet heat. More so of a problem when out west with dirt roads.
I'm not very familiar with Mack, do they continue to produce their own engines?
Next to Mack's own engines, the C15 is an all time favourite. finding someone who makes this look so fluid, and it is, is rare indeed. Well done Sir.
Perfect
Whats your method of getting into a lower gear for rolling stops? I can get up and down gears fine but rolling stops I seem to grind a little bit, when a red light goes green and I’ve either just flicked into nuetral or still in a high range gear, thanks.
Take off from first gear ( using full gears)up to the top box and write down what speed you’re doing in each gear @1500 rev’s…Stick it on the dash, where u can see it…. When you’re in traffic next look at road speed- your cheat sheet and rev to your 1500 rpm to find a gear. After awhile you’ll memorise it.. Hope this helps 👍
Also slowly reving it up against the gate ( not hard ) just so you can feel when it wants to go in… Most of the time little to no clutch is used
Upshift and downshift without the using clutch and getting rpm and jacobs spot on is a skill not many drivers can do, these are the top guns of trucking
Cat engine good, maxitorque tranny not, mack truck ok.
Love the turbo noise in a C15. Mate, I teach this with Roadrangers in Perth. I wish I could get my students to take it easy in the lower box like you do here. Smooth as bro.
What do you mean by "taking it easy"?
@gsd4me00 not going full throttle on the lower gears, just get it moving.
Yeah, you see that all the time, it's like a drag race for a lot of drivers. But when you're not paying the bills... 😕
Cheers Tex, good video mate, look forward to the next one 👌🇦🇺
Nice your vids are awesome we love to hear that CAT sing!
What about when taking off from a stop on a hill? When i try to shift the truck loses speed before it'll mesh into the next gear
Drove a mack dump truck for one day in didn't get use to it until the last run heading back to the yard. the thing with it is you gotta wait for the rpm to drop low when floating and i found it weird how you can reverse in any gear lol. but im not really a big fan of it some guys love em, eaton 18918b or the 20918 all day for me. that 550 sounds awesome by the way
what hp you rated? didn't know cummins send def engines for Australia, thought they only sent the pre emissions like the c16 15 sig 600 3406e and so on. nice shifting though loving your vids. safe trucking mate
Hey mate, Nah there X15 Cummins with Adblue… Not sure what program he run’s but they go pretty well.. They have 600 on engine tag…
would love to see this c16 vs a big 600 sig, wonder which would pull better
Love ya work mate , that noise of the engine , turbo , gear changes , music to my ears , keep them coming , Safe travels .
Great video mate. What's it like working for those guys? Just spoke to someone from recruitment about coming over 👍
Good Crew in Geraldton mate👍
Love this! New sub here. Keep this shit coming Tex👌🇦🇺
Just be smooth as you can with the revs, level the throttle off, hold the gear up too the gate and unload the throttle. Should fall in neutral and into next gear or feel the meshing of gears and pull in when it’s synced. Or if you feel your just gone past the gear drive it in on the throttle. You will find your own style mate, just take time and practice 👍
Thanks heaps I really appreciate it. sounds like the secret is you don't take your foot completely off the throttle is that correct. Plus you don't use the clutch do you> Cant wait to practice. Wish i could text you or something as in Victoria.
@@Winter76-sy1ky yeah that’s right with throttle. And yes no clutch BUT, if you’re grinding gears big time use the top of clutch to take weight the driveline and double clutch . As you get more confident learn not to use it.
Thanks man this helps a lot now i just need to practice. how do you change up gears can you use the same technique. Thanks again keep up the great work.
Keep making vids mate love watchin em! Abit of front view action would be mint too🤙
Hi just wondering if you had a chance to make a video of you load and unload technique yet. as I said we have just got a few trucks with R/R in them and I am getting better but still need some more practice. keep up the great videos
Yeah mate, I did make a few videos ,I’ll get on too it 👍Thanks
Thanks it would really help to learn from a expert @@trippletex5508

Excellent video mate, the engine and turbo sounds nice and healthy!
Great to see more people showing us how to drive a manual. I may change a little different than you but that’s ok. If you’re going to put out more videos maybe shoot your footage using landscape view. It looks so much better that way. Keep up the great work.
Great video. we have auto trucks but have recently bought a few with road rangers in them. I am curious about the unload reload technique and how it works thanks.
Thanks mate, I’ll make a video 👍
Good old Campbell transport
Jest drive using braille lol jk
Always class 👌
Good to see ya back mate out of curiosity what do your temps look like coming up Wicherina I know my egr is getting warm near the top during harvest
Probably bit under 500 on the pyro mate👍
@@trippletex5508 sweet wouldn’t happen to know the water temp would ya probably wouldn’t have a road relay in those new rigs hey?
@@tobin6407 oh when it’s cooler I let it do it’s cycle. Soo fan comes in round 100 degrees. But when it starts getting hotter I just lock the fan in. It’s easier on everything 👍
Smooth as a babies bum Tex
Man can drive 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
ORSM!
Would be brilliant to see the footwork / throttle control too. 😀
Shit hot mate ya brought another video out
Soothing 😍
Hey tripple tex have you done sidetippers work. cause im working for a sidetippers crowd down in Esperance and the crowd i work for needs drivers. Let me know mate.
G'day mate how ya going hope your all well its been a year since your last video when the next one mate been missing the footage
Hey mate, cheers… yeah I’ll work on it cob, I’ve had a bit going on but yeah , I’ve got a new job something different. I’ll put something together👍
This will fix it, fixed mine. Peace o' piss.
hello is it a big difference between c15 and c16 ??
Yes, the c16’s @600 are more torque and hang on longer… But a good going C15 @550 are pretty honest 👍 so yes there is a noticeable difference , on long pulls in the hills.Especially if you’re pulling for 5 hours out to Mt magnet… could be 10-15 mins difference from my experience running with other trucks.
