the 4 to the floor UK garage is very similar to a lot of the american 90s house and todd terry is its father really and hes an american house producer so very similar. However the 2 step Uk garage has more of a jungle drum n bass influence, bit of a Caribbean influence specially in the mcing and subbase. the beats are not four to the floor more breaky.
The difference between chicago house and UK house is chicago house music you actually want to listen to it whether it is acid,soulful,or my favorite,DEEP. UK music is just really made for clubbing,sort boring too and it all pretty much sounds the same.
