      Better performance on takeoff , lighter pack with mah of heavier pack. SMC seems to be more compact compared to similar size of other brands sometimes.

    She's looking good brother, and nice maiden flight by the way. I'm looking forward to your thoughts and the comparison between this new Avanti and the V3 Futura, they're too similar for me to call but I think that new power system in the Avanti edges out the FMS system just slightly, although I'm partial to the looks of the Futura.

      Thanks! I did a comparison video with v1 and viper on the channel. Avanti was lacking performance to Viper. Also adding a Spektrum receiver to a PNP total cost is much closer to Viper BNF. I am only familiar with Spektrum transmitters, receivers and thrust reversing ESC's. Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction to set up thrust reverse in this model? Recently watched your Viper vs Avanti video, how would you compare the two if comparing the Viper to the Avanti V2? Trying to make the call between the two !! Cheers 🍻

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  Год назад

      Avanti got a big upgrade in performance and technology. Adding higher kv and 12blade with reverse thrust. Viper still has more top end and thrust (seat of pants dyno :D). However the difference is much closer than v1 and viper.
      Fit and finish with attention to detail is upgraded on Avanti. Especially paint scheme and quailty with no bare foam too...However,add a AR637T similar to Viper, total cost is 515 vs 650. Viper does have the full telemetry tho.
      Lastly parts are easier to get since mainly in stock and cheaper for Avanti.Both fun birds and cant go wrong either way...

    I love this EDF, Bradley. If it weren't for the paint scheme. I want to add another EDF to keep my mighty E-flight Viper 90mm company. Honestly though I'm looking at the FMS EDF 80mm Futura V3. Not only do I love the way it looks, but from what I understand it rips and fly's almost perfectly in the right hands. I'm just wondering if it will handle a 6300mAh lipo so I can hit it hard for 3.5m? I see no value in using an Avanti or EDF to test its stalling point, I HAVE THE NEED FOR SPEED!

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  Год назад +1

      Futura v3 would be good addition to Viper 90. Depends on the weight of the 6200. Most 6200 will be over 800grams. 5000-5300 increased the landing speed and borderline too much weight to push battery back far enough. 6300 might be so heavy extra mah will be used up faster cause of needing to be in throttle for the extra weight. However if main goal is wide open flying,throw it in there and send it haha...

    • @davidgerlach1132
      @davidgerlach1132 Год назад +1

      I'm liking this more now than the Futura. One thing I would like though is springless main landing gear in the links like the Viper 90mm. The nose gear on this Avanti is fine.
