Amen! I needed to hear that. I often work out because I feel like I have to. Rather than out of enjoyment of it some days. The body dysmorphia from seeing others with years of practice makes me feel like I have made no progress. But I remind myself that I don't want to end up like my dad, the physique of a desk job has made him age so poorly.
Sure you already know this, but truly looks do not matter. If you can control your mind you'll be set for as long as you have your mind, and once you lose your mind what does anything matter anyway.

I got certified and was a firefighter for 6 months before I decided to quit.
