Thank you!!! After watching this video I replaced my oil filter cap. I found the inside missing!!! I think the last place that changed my oil pulled off the basket with the filter and tossed it. Does ur guys make a chugging and whining noise after ....I let my car run for about ten or fifteen minutes and then it just sounded like it was on its last breath ....I completely thru my basket away not even noticing it...lol I was only supposed to put my new tires ahhhh
There’s a check valve underneath of the oil filter housing that bolts to the cylinder head probably want to check that, it will also cause the same code, and if a piece of the broken basket stops it from opening it’ll blow oil past the gasket and purge it into the cooling system, you’ll think you’ve blown a head gasket or cracked the head, when its just the oil heat exchanger/cooler to oil filter housing gasket and or the filter housing to cylinder head gasket ( some only require one of the gaskets at the housing and the cooler is mounted on a bracket that bolts to the lower radiator support) If you don’t fish all of the pieces of plastic out of the housing (I use a cluster of straws squeezed gently into a shop-vac reducer attachment with a strainer donated by a newly emptied oregano spice shaker jar ) and hot glued it in the adapter so it wouldn’t suck all the straws up, you punch holes in a piece of dollar store cutting board and heat the straw ends until they curl then spray them with water so they don’t drop out you should get 2” of free findependent linear movement ) theres a short video on how to do it, it works great for detailing and important places where you don’t want to suck up a 2 carat diamond or a tiny one off spring for a high end electronic device.
DAMn! new guy did my oil change and left the center stuck in the filter! lucky me was in the garbage and put it back on....testing it after work. thanks!
