Y’all in these comments like he didn’t lead us to the playoffs last year.. yall obviously don’t really watch football
Jalen gonna have to shut ALL of these people up can’t wait to see it Roll Tide
Yes, AMEN! ROLL TIDE!!
Bama will be good next year, but OSU and UGA will be in the natty. Calling it now.
and we woulda won the natty if we had a better center
@@dennisjohnson3117yeppers
This is Bama best overall coaching staff since perhaps 2015. Although Saban was the GOAT, the offense had gotten stale since Kiffin/Sark and teams had figured out how to exploit his Defensive Secondary coverages.
2017 and 2018 were pretty good staffs.
Milroe had 1 start going into last season. He was in Heisman voting with guys with 50-60 starts.
Facts
All facts
Majority of heisman voters didn’t watch 3 Bama games last year, had they watched first halves against ole miss and Tennessee or the 9 straight incompletions against a bad Arkansas team to give them a chance to beat us, they wouldn’t have given him a vote. In spring game he was looking for deep ball every play, it’s why he won’t be consistent in this offense
Jalen Milroe had the most passing touchdowns in a first home start in UA history but y’all still say he “can’t throw”
he graded at a top 10 efficient passer
was 5th or 6th in heisman voting
and a returning top 5 heisman candidate
36-6 TD-Int ratio
undefeated against SEC teams and won SEC championships
that’s the thing with you haters you ignore the numerous amount of positives nd great plays he’s made
y’all only want to do is focus on one or two weaknesses that he’s obviously working to get better at
There can be truths from opposing arguments. All you listed is correct, yet it's also the case that he was mediocre at intermediate passing, which is a major component to being a competent passer.
Exactly! Race? Would he be getting such hate if he was white?
this has to be an AI comment used to generate more comments. It's 2024...does this have to be brought up everyday?
CKD has already said they look at the talent and based on what they’re good at they develop the offense around their skill set…if his offense can do that, you’re right they have the talent…they just need to maximize their individual skills
Oh and I’m more concerned with the defense but I figured it was going to be a work in progress…
There will definitely be some growing pains along the way, but by the end of the season it will end up working quite effectively
🤞 #roadTo19
So with Jalen Milroes legs. His throwing game, especially the deep ball. The running backs are gonna go off. And God knows what else Kalen has cooked up with wide receiver runs and screens etc. defenses are gonna have no clue what hit them. And He knows that so he just ran some basic vanilla offense and defense on the A day
Yep, you are right! LANK!! ROLL TIDE!!
If the offense will work with Jalen it wouldn't be this collective push for him.
Lol that's tardo bArnnOhhH
You can see the difference in Milroe under Sheridan and Daboer in three months than all of last year under Rees and Saban and now five months before the season he's going to be dangerous now with his freakish athleticism he has I'm excited
Forget the offense defense is what I'm worried about
Why wouldn't Jalen Milroe throw the football 40 times he is capable just as the other guys
Washington’s offense relied on hitting loads of explosive shot plays downfield one on one. Jalen milroe’s best throws were usually his deep balls. To get these one on one’s downfield Washington ran the ball and threw quick screens or quick hitting passing plays to force the defense into putting more players in the box. Once the defense did this they took shots downfield. It forces defenses onto a double edged sword. Do you stop the run and the quick easy passes or do you keep your safeties deep and protect yourself from big plays? This allows the run game to become dominate and make big plays of its own. Milroe will be great in this system and the Alabama offense will be great too. It might not be as good as a passing offense as Washington was because they don’t have as good receivers as Washington did but they will be a better running offense because milroe’s legs will be a huge advantage.
i see so much potential in jalen. the thing abt him tho is his decision making. at times it's amazing but also there are multiple people to be thrown to. i understand that it's hard to move your eyes while being chased by 500lb men but my hopes are big and hopefully better decisions and more intermediate passes
Alabama had a Horrible Pass protecting Oline last year. That is what caused most of his problems.
@@Phillip-xi2cq what caused most of his problems are his inability to read defenses, not panic in the pocket and throw an accurate pass Other than those things, he’s not horrible. .
@dmac42 saying stuff like that sounds so stupid. Unless you are in the QB room you don't know what the read is on a particular play. Some of those "bad reads" are automatic adjustments based on pre-snap alignment.
As far as accuracy he has shown he can throw darts almost anywhere on the field. He has room to improve but the dude can do things throwing a football that very very few players can do.
Tommy Rees wasted half the season trying to run some sort of Bill Walsh bullshit passing game. If he came out and actually adjusted his scheme to what Milroe does best he probably isn't a tight ends coach in Cleveland and Milroe might have a Heisman.
@@Fulcrum205 Milroe doesn’t have a chance of winning a Heisman unless they let him do a Lamar Jackson in which Alabama will not win an Nashville championship and would be lucky to win the SEC Alabama played Georgia, five times last year Georgia would beat them four and I’m an Alabama fan
Bunch of people out here trying to keep Alabama down by playing Milroe!
truth!
The people who doubt Milroe are crazy. Fkin Tommy used 0% of his potential last year. The only game they let him play (LSU) he put up 5 TDs.
Bama receivers have not been getting open, they had no scheme to get them open. I can’t wait to see if things are better this year
I think if DeBoer's system clicks wight he players our run game should be substantially better...and if the run game can keep the chains moving it will open up the field for passing attacks.
Last year before the season I said Bama wouldn't have a 1k rusher. This season, we could have two eclipse 1k, depending on how much Milroe runs the ball. Butni think Milroe will be limited to about 10 designed run plays for himself, and maybe a couple he can't find an open receiver, so he may run the ball about 10 to 15 times per game. The other backs, Justice and Jam, will be around 15 or 20 each on average, and at 5 yards per carry they'll average 75 to 100 yards per game each.
If Milroe can stay efficient at around 65% and 200 yards per game passing with about 50 to 75 yards rushing, we should average prolly 450 yards per game of offense.
As for the schedule, we have a very tough November. I can see Bama with one loss heading to the lsu game. From there what we do between playing at OU and then having what I think will be an extremely better AU team, finishing 10-2 is probably the upper end of our team, but I could see a 9-3 in DeBoer's first season.
As for down the road, will this be the most talented team of DeBoer's tenure? Can he recruit at an elite level like Ryan Day and Kirby Smart? I am afraid Deboer wins a title woth9n his first 4 or 5 years but could become a Mark Richt type coach where he gets close every year. I hope I am wrong. He just hasn't been at a program longer than a few years to prove he can recruit to sustain. I think he can, I just don't have the history to justify saying so. Also, there is the NIL stuff going on where ncaa went to court last week. This will determine a lot in the coming years.
@@brianfloyd2279 clearly an AI generated comment. But not designed to generate clicks, but to keep people from subscribing to this page.
At the end of the day I trust coach DeBoer's decision. He has a great offensive mind and I think they will be fine. I am more concerned about our defense. I hope they surprise me and play to the caliber we are used to seeing Bama play. Roll Tide!
🤞 #roadTo19
These ppl be hating on Milroe so hard! And will never admit they were wrong when they did it last year! But hey some ppl never learn. I posted all the hate last year on my timeline after we made the playoffs! Gone do the same this year.🤦🏾♂️
Michael Penix knew how to read defense.
And throw a tight spiral
Yeah, and Michael Penix was developed by DeBoor and company.....Milroe is in good hands...
@cheryldare Keep that same energy when the season starts.
Michael Penix was a run first guy at IU. He blossomed at Washington due to getting coached up (and the scheme). Look at Penix’s first year stats at Washington. Milroe will have similar stats this year
@@skat915 Milroe process information to slow.
Great comparison….
Vince Young couldn't throw consistently in college...until he could. It takes time for the game to come a player. He improved massively through the season, but he had a few flaws that got highlighted. If he can fix those few flaws...watch out.
This guy is a great quarterback these people don’t know football he’s an outstanding passer that old label on black quarterback yall did in the past is over the boy is special
As soon as you mentioned race you lost the argument. 0/10 points on the victimhood scale.
Ok, let’s be honest! Race has nothing to do with the ability to be labeled a great QB. Tua and Bryce were great! Milroe was OK, but nowhere close to a good QB. His legs made him special, not his reading the D, checking down or throwing the 10-15 yard down the middle throw. Bond and Niblack left because they knew Milroe was not going to make them look great.
Milroe has improved, but so has Simpson. Simpson is the much better passer, and Milroe is the much better runner. Chose your QB, not based on race.
Nah but him playing for Bama is why yall hating lol he was so raw last year with a DEFENSIVE minded coach and he was 7 points away from a natty appearance no one played michigan as close but Ohio St and that game can be washed with the rivalry the kid can sling it he's improved immensely and changed his throwing motion to accommodate for those mid to short throws he was able to put the ball where he need he just had too much zip and made it hard to catch the change he made will fix that kid throws for 70 plus % this year 4k pass yards and 1100 ground yards and yall can keep hating keep feeding him keep doubting him you'll see LANKKKKKK ROLL TIDEEEEE BE MAD
Jalen is not a good passer 🤣
@@dallencain2872 you realize that Milroe is a true senior, but technically a redshirt Junior. And you are telling me he was raw last year, well how long does it take to be a good QB. He was not and still is not accurate. He has improved a lot since last year, and even his throwing motion has improved. Interesting, it never improved last year. Wonder if he is hearing footsteps. SEC defenses will rush 4 or 5 and make him think fast and unload. We will see how he handles that in this coming year.
Shout out to Milroe
#RollTide
LANK!! ROLL TIDE!!
Milros locked in
Oh so now your good jd now your not making questions. Dang bro howany times you been shut down. Your my guy watch all your stuff but you have put more questions marks on Alabama then anyone
MILROE WILL SHINE THIS SEASON ! ROLL TIDE !
The haters in these comments is insane
Yep, you are right. But they always hate on my Crimson Tide. Not sure why. But like we say at BAMA, LANK!! ROLL TIDE!!
Baitin’ and hatin’
One read QB
So is Caleb Williams from USC. All he did was win a Heisman.
@@skat915 I have no idea about Caleb Williams except seeing him cry in his mom’s lap. Jalen Milroe is great when the receiver is wide open
@@JLymanStone He was also great at leading Alabama to the Playoffs. The Oline was the issue for Alabama last year. They literally led 20-13 in the playoff game with an Oline that couldn't pass protect.
@@Phillip-xi2cq the playoff game were he threw for 116 yards. Michigan was not afraid of him passing the ball and they knew if they put some pressure pressure on him he would panic and leave the pocket.
Sure. He missed open guys. They all do. He’s had 3 offensive coordinators in 3 years.
Penix had a Joe Moore award o line.
Nix had 60 starts.
I was watching Jaylin Milroe during the a day game he would lock on to one receiver and that’s where he threw the ball and you people call him a quarterback he’s anything but a quarterback he would make an outstanding running back and he can throw the ball up for a 50-50 chance of our receivers catching it and I’m going to watch Bama and I’ve been a Bama fan and I’m 61 years old oh my life I’m going to watch the Ship sink with Jalen Milroe S captain people like this guy talking is a joke I’ve never seen this cat before and I’ve been watching Alabama all my life
Go back and watch the Tennessee game. That long touchdown to Bond was his 4th read.
The TD pass over the middle against A&M; Burton was the 3rd read.
You don't know what you are talking about
Rolltide
He's a great RUNNER about all I got to say.
Damn I don't know 1 bad passer who passed for 2900 yards in today's college football with 25 tds been watching for a long time now and I still haven't seen it. Want to know what I have seen though? A bunch of couch potato's talk like they now how to evaluate a QB. They've been wrong every time.
@tr4pkeedyoungking677 preach!
So is Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. So is Pat Mahomes. So what is your point?
Milroe will benefit greatly from helmet communication.
I love the way all these experts are predicting Milroe is the man. We have 2 great QBs, one a better passer, the other a better passer. Only one can play, we will see which one is QB1. The offense is loaded, and we just need the guy in the middle to push this offense. Our QB needs to be passer, not just a runner.
Milroe is the starter so get over it buddy! 🤡
Milroe is QB1. There is no question. Milroe threw for almost 3000 yards last year. He can throw.
This is one of the only times I’ve disagreed with JD. Jalen is not a true QB. I don’t understand why everyone rides his nuts.
Milroe should be a running back.
They might as well run the wishbone.
With some passing elements 😂
Tell me about it roll tide tho
‼️‼️‼️
The only way he’ll thrive is if he hands the ball off 90% of the time and then heaves it down field the other 10% in hopes that the receivers can out fight the defenders and come down with it.
Hater and a loser
Bahahahahha your team probably lost to him passing the ball last year.
@@Phillip-xi2cq lol do you mean to his 116 yards in the playoff? I’m a lifelong Alabama fan.

When Milroe wins this heisman I’m coming right back to these comments 🤣🤣
Damn that would have to be a down year.
ROLL TIDE!! LANK!!
Cool, take your Heisman. Ain’t gonna win a natty with him.
Simpson will win the hiseman when Deboer reelise hes better.
Roll tide!
These youtubers dnt know nothing about football @ all how the hell you know...
Considering he has no touch, anticipation or ability to read coverages, he’s more likely to be Joe Milton than Michael Pennix
Been saying this since A&M 2 years ago.
I feel like people are too quick to jump the gun on him as a passer. I'm not saying he's Michael Penix but the offensive line play was AWFUL last year. Teams were regularly dropping 8 in coverage and getting pressure. We'll find out how good milroe can be this year.
@@alexandertharpe8738 who dropped 8? Most guys were sending 5/6. Some plays 4 but mostly 5/6. Milroe would have a field day if people were dropping 3 cause he have to much time to run and throw.
@@joshuahaney3400 Texas A&M, Tennessee, and UGA rarely sent anyone. Obviously everyone sent 5/6 sometimes but those just sat with their front 4 and knew somebody on BAMA’s oline would let a defender walk right past
Milroe will get drafted next year if he decides to declare for the draft and he be a millionaire while people continue to hate on him. And Espn got him ranked #4 Qb as draft prospect and he will continue to improve
Yall tripping milroe wins the Heisman
Facta
Alabama is not going to be that good lol Saban is gone lol
Get ready to be proven wrong. Alabama has always been good no matter who coaches them. The only era they weren't good was when they had scholarship limitations.
I love Jalen’s athleticism but not his ability to hit a wide open guy 15 yds down field or be consistent enough on 3rd downs to make me comfy. Situational football he’s not great at. He’s the Derrick Henry of qbs. He’s gonna make some big plays. But you have to live with the negative ones you know are coming too.
