Good instructional video! I just replaced the same valve on an Electrolux EFME617Stt G-1 Electric Washer (very similar to the model pictured) and the only difference that I noted was that I didn't have to remove the back panel. There's enough room to slide the valve outward (towards wall), and reinsert the new one in the same way as removed. You just have to remove the white color housing (bracket) that keeps the red/blue valve inlet tubes in place on the back panel. Much easier if you don't have the room, and it's a time saver.
That's what I did as well, didn't see a reason to remove the whole back panel, although if you drop a screw then you'll either be fishing for it or removing the back panel.
Great video! I’ve never tried to fix a washing machine but thanks to this video I was able to replace the water intake valve. I’m a woman in my 60’s so if I can do it anyone can. Thank you for such clear and concise instructions.
Over the years, I am on my fourth major appliance fix using these videos: dish washer pump, range element replacement, clothes washing pump plugged, and now this. Thanks team.
Thank you. This was perfect, the repair worked as needed and we saved on labor charges. Excellent in its thoroughness and step-by-step structure. Thanks!
This is a great video, but I needed to clean the inlet screens... they are not designed to be removed, though I *did* succeed at doing this. My guess is that this is the Electrolux Marketing Department insisting on designs that promote new purchase, rather than repair. The filter element is held on by a plastic "center stud", with a blob at the end... cut off the blob, and you can remove the element. Unlike all these videos, most civilians have a tougher time getting to the backs of their machines... so when I found out that I couldn't just take out the screens and clean them, you can imagine I had a few choice words! ;-) Thanks again for the video!
My family and I are very grateful for your video. So thorough and kept safety in mind the entire time. Honestly saved me so much time and money. More importantly you’ve posted/uploaded a video and made it public! Other then a creator of content I didn’t see an “AD” or a business branding. Just being super helpful with no visible gain. Hmmm faith in humanity could possibly make a come back!? So please accept; after calling for a warranty quote and a quote for local repair company to fix. My estimated average saving with parts and labor and or a warranty is roughly $600-$900 USD. I’d like to contribute a portion of our savings to keep your channel “capable” if that makes sense. Please respond as you are able and include a patreon or method of such a way to make a financial contribution. Thanks again and greetings from Derry, New Hampshire!!!
Wow I did it exactly how you guys show on the video and it worked out great and thanks for your professional video , for Im not mechanically inclined but you guys are the best! God bless
Thank you for this video. Just a question: Is the water inlet valve some sort of check valve to prevent backflow? I've been seeing some plumbers say washing machines need check valves, but I know that some washing machines come with built-in check valves & I'm wondering if this one has it built-in.
My washer had a fill valve oscillating so I replaced this valve array. Turns out the problem was a gift card caught in the drain bellows which was blocking air pressure to the level detector. I did not need to remove the back of the machine to replace this array. Only the top and the dampener assembly. The valve array is held in the rear panel by a plastic piece attached to the panel with little tabs. Gently push the tabs in, remove the plastic piece, and then the valve array can be moved rearward easily to detach it from the soap chamber. Much easier than removing the back of the machine.
It makes it easier you don’t need to take the whole back panel off. Just take off most of the upper half and you can peel back the panel to get the valve out. Only problem is you will have less room for your arms to unscrew the valve out but it’s definitely doable
Would this be an F4 code? I ran my washer through diagnostics and I got an E11 code, an F4 code and an E13 code, my washer doesn’t seem to like to use warm water, or the hot, I seem to still be able to do washes in cold, thanks for your help:)
So, we have a 2012 Electrolux stacked washer/dryer that started to throw E35 error codes. First I replaced the water pressure switch. First cycle after the repair was fine and then on the second load it gave us the E35 code again. Then I replaced the main control board. First cycle after the repair it was fine and then on the second load it threw another E35. Frustrating when you consider the hassle of getting to the back of a stacked washer with a dryer on top and very close quarters to work in. Now, I just ordered the damn water inlet valve. Will this finally fix it or should I just blow up this POS? Asking for a friend.
I have the same washer thought it was the pressure switch problem still there error 35. I guess this is the part required for the fix, water just keeps filling even when off

I'm having an issue with mine overfilling when using hot water. It causes the machine to leak soapy water all over the floor. It doesn't leak when using only cold water. I've replaced the inlet valve already with a brand new one so does anyone know what the issue could be? The inlet valve is all I can think of that would cause the issue unless there's something wrong with the control board not telling the valve to turn off or something.

Thanks. Great video. Too many steps for me, but this gave me an idea of the work involved so I can choose the best estimate.
This tutorial worked great for me. I was able to keep the rear panel on and did not have an issue accessing the screws. Thx

Hello, I just have one question, Hello, What is the white tube to the right of the intake valves?

Now...if only my washer were out in the open like this! LOL!
a question , its it really important to shut off the water supply valve after every wash ?
Would this be an F4 code?

Hi.
My electrolux EIFLS60JIW hot water velve is broken. How do I know what is the right part for it?
Same washer. Washer fills and drains fine but later I find standing water in the tub. Is that a symptom of needing new inlet valves?
Perfect! Thx so much!

Did anyone else get the e35 code on washer not if it’s this valve or pressure switch??
Leave it to Electrolux to make you disconnect 20 things to replace one thing

Figured it out and thanks to your tutorial washer is fixed.
I keep getting a "no water" error on my Electrolux model eiflw55hiwo but there is water inside. Would this be the part I need to replace?
Melissa Williamson probably u will have to clear dirt from wateroutlet
