Excellent analysis Peter! I can give you a seventh reason, why an engine could shake or vibrate: a weak fuel pump. If the fuel pump is weak and thus the fuel pressure is not enough, then the fuel injectors don't spray the correct amount of fuel in the cylinder and the engine runs poorly and vibrates, even in idle speed!

thank you very much for sharing idea. now i know why my 2lte shaking more than before. i notice it and its also the reason of hard starting coz i theres leaking from the pump. and it needs to replace o rings im sure the o ring has cracks and needs replacement.thanks you again

My engine only shakes after warming up. Please provide some advice or suggestions. It seems there is moisture in the spark plug holes and smoke or steam is coming out of the exhaust. Very low power, the van barely moves. I replaced the defective water pump. I replaced plugs and coils. Please help.

Could it beat leaking valves? Coolant being sucked into the combustion chamber from the intake manifold? Coolant is leaking internally.
Hi, I have corolla verso 1.8 it has vibrations on steering wheel and pedals even when reving at idle, engine mounts look great, but when driving it is vibrating anywhere from 2500 to 4000, Noone seems to be able to help me, please give me some advise, thanks

Please help me out, i have a 06 GMC envoy. It has a vibration at idle and while driving that i can feel in the pedal and even the steering wheel. There is no check engine light and the rpms when idling are perfect with no fluctuation. Also the vehicle runs perfect other than that very noticeably felt vibration in park or when driving thru all the gears. Motor mounts seem good but I could be wrong. Also engine runs very quite . Fuel mileage is great also. Plenty of power too. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor do you think it could possibly be fuel system related? The lady ( previous owner) I got it from mistakenly thought she could run the ethanol E85 gas and I'm assuming she used it the 4 years she had the car. Thank you for your time
My Lexus ES330 6 cylinder VVT engine shakes while driving at highs speed. Also, low engine oil level is showing in the dashboard although I changed the oil recently. I checked oil level in the dipstick and it is in normal level.
Any advise is appreciated..

I have a Cadillac CTS and my engine is shaking still after adding oil. I can’t go past 40 mph without the engine light blinking. Any ideas?
Same here. It was flashing then now the light is stuck on. I put just a tad bit oil (i was told there are engine oil leaks) and more coolant but still vibrating crazy 😢

My Toyota Camry 2004 LE ,When I accelerate the car it makes a " Kir Kir" noise - its the same noise when you accelerate a manual car in high gear but low speed. What can be the problem? Thanks .

2011 ford fiesta doing the same thing. I changes oil, oil filter, new air filter, spark plugs, new throttle body, mass flow sensor new but still very shaking make my dashboard making noise.

My 2AZ FE engine vibrates from 700 to 1000 RPM only, but it does it all the time in gear, in neutral, hot or cold. Recently rebuilt. I can't figure it out.
Maybe engine piston compression is low
