for those who don't know, this Wicked is not a replica. it is a reassembly authorized by Stephen Schwartz himself and the visagismo was recreated by the visagist of the original montage of Wicked, who revisited his work and gave it a makeover.
So we may never get a Pink Glinda in the US!!! 😫😫😫
I can’t believe they put her in the red sweater from the novel. I’m so excited to see more from this production!!
It was a masterpiece, I couldn't hold my tears when Elphaba flew over the audience. For sure I'll be watching this again ♥
It's interesting how some of Glinda's costumes here seem similar to those used in the movie (pink bubble dress, light blue/iridescent dress)
Elphaba flies over people, it's innovative!
They already did that in Hamburg in 2021...

I KNOW I sound boring and traditionalist, but for me NOTHING beats Susan Hilferty's costumes and Eugene Lee's set & lighting

I agree, but it's nice to see how others interpret it. But you're right- it's nearly impossibly to outdo the original
And they are still there for everyone to enjoy. But look how cool it is to have diferent versions of the same story! First Hamburg and now us here in Brasil. I'm telling you, nothing beats the audience's shock when Elphie flies in her broom above the ENTIRE theater! Not only that, but she stops and gets lowered, so she stays super close to some very lucky audience members. I'm a big fan from the original version, wich we had here in 2016, but this one is sooo whorthy seeing.
How do they do the melting in this version

The magic tricks were creates by the guy who made the same in Harry potter and the Cursed Child play in London
What is going on with Glindas party dress? And where is Elphabas broom?!
they forgot the broom but she will fly with the broom normally
It isn't the same as the broadway version so they changed the clothing and sets, probally we will have the broom tho i guess

@@bleulunettes9581 yes, It was pretty well made,they are doing an good job on this version tho i dont really like elphaba shiz outfit,but its fine i guess,my country is doing an amazing job with this New version of wicked.

Actually this defying gravity is the high point. The illumination and the way she flies above the audience and toward the balcony is stunning.
Hamburg Germany looked better IMO; maybe not so much in their costumes, but way better for the most part...still looking forward to this one.
