Excellent video, gonna get me one of these. Having seen the damage not greasing can do, I grease religiously every 10 hrs so I rarely have fittings that won’t take grease. But one of these Grease Busters will come in handy one day when I do have a temperamental fitting. Thanks for the informative video! 👍
You have the best & most informative video. Thanks for your tip about loosening the tip, so it is possible to remove the tool from the grease fitting! Wish I had watched this before I broke a grease fitting!!
Are most clogged grease fittings caused from old dried up grease or grains of sand? Also funny story, my friend has a backhoe he uses on his farm and he never greases it. So I'm over there helping him grease it and the main pivot pins for the backhoe attachment aren't taking grease. Install new fittings and still no grease. Come to find out the bushings were so dry that the friction of the pins spun them in the housing. Had to drill new holes for them to take grease.
A combination of both, usually. Some work environments are just especially dirty, and not getting time to grease regularly is every busy workman's challenge.
I keep my tractor in an enclosed outbuilding, so it is not exposed to outside weather when not in use. I still get clogged zerk fittings sometimes, and I just unscrew the fitting, insert it into the LocknLube, and the hardened grease easily gets pushed out. For equipment stored outside, however, I have had zerk fittings get stripped out, so I prefer not to try to remove them. What effect will the penetrating oil have on the grease when the tool pushes it through the zerk fitting? Will the grease break down more quickly?
There are multiple reasons, first Zerks cost and it usually a pain to replace them. Sometimes they just have a little bit of corrosion from winter salt and a couple minutes of time will fix them. Sometimes you have hardening of grease behind the zerk in the machine itself and you need to dissolve the "plug" with a fluid. It's not a tool for everyone but the people that fight with zerks all the time love the tool. Reach out to use at (603) 795-2298 or sales@locknlube.com with anything else we can help with.
@@LockNLube i told that i've bought grease buster and it didnt work in some places , what i will suggest is to dismantle zerk clean it with awl and than screw in grease tube straight in (without coupler) thread/thread and press through)
If it's just the Zerk then that can certainly work quickly for you. If you are trying to free up a joint or pin that is all seized up, you can use the Grease Buster to push solvent through the entire assembly, breaking up the dried-up gunk and flushing it out so you can refill with fresh grease.

Great tool and video. I have a 1964 Ford f250 and had problems getting grease into the top zerk on the king pins.
Thanks for the information!
Kroll with your tool will take some time on a difficult fitting but it will work just be patient
Good discussion man..
Amazing video
I worked for a John Deere dealer and we always joked about the only seal on a joint was a ring of grease around it to keep out water, contaminates.
Good work
Beautiful

Super video
its 20" or 30" hose ?
Hi Pan,
The extension hose for the Grease Buster is 5' and not be used as a grease gun hose. It's helpful for Zerks that are at on 90 degree angles.
@@LockNLube 3:57 grease gun has which lenght of the hose ?
Most of the grease guns come with a 20" whip hose.
@@LockNLube i know it , i'm asking the exact length of the hose at the certain time code (in this video)
Again, its a 5" hose.

Why not simply replace the zerk?

Wow 🥺😳
bought same thing to inblock zerks - not satyisfied at all , better to buy adapter and grease it wiyhout zerks
You can certainly try that. With problems like this, there is rarely just 1 available solution, the Grease Buster is a nice option.
