    Again I raise my hat off to you. You doing very well.
    As far as I know you are using a combination of tools for DR. Right?
    1.) MRTLAB Ultra
    2.) PC3000 from ACELab
    3.) DFL-SRP from Dolphin Data Lab
    Can you tell us about you experience with those products, which is better for this and which is better for that?
    What about performance (read/write-speed) and can you build the hardware in one/two lab-PCs or do you need for each product a separate PC?
    Questions, about questions and I hope you like to answer them and love to hear more technical details.
    Well did you ever think about for helping remote sessions?

    Hi, sorry but in conclusion what is Imaging?? can we say that Imaging = repairing bad sectors on a HDD, or Imaging = recovering data from a failing HDD and putting them on a different HDD ??
    is it different from making a disc Image wih soft like Acronis??
    can we jump into Imaging with only 1 HDD to fix bad sectors??
    Thx

    It would be nice to have more software recoveries to watch and understad.
    So you use more than one software depending what you need to recover.
    The PS 3000 is expensive but I'll get the smallest one 2 channels, just to start.
    Nice Video ;)

    Hello, I know this is not place for stupid questions, but internet is dumb today, and you most know the answer by head. I have an ST2000LM015 (2.5 Barracuda 2TB), does this drive support some sort of low power spinup, like WD drives do by setting a jumper? Thank You!
    Also keep up the good work, I like the videos!

    This all seems like great information but I wish there were maybe some edited zooming and/or panning to where the mouse is while you are choosing an option since it is quite difficult to see where you are clicking. Thank you either way.

      I am very new to screen capture, and my monitor for MRT is also ultra wide ratio, I've been meaning to switch it to a regular ratio so I can cap at regular 1080

      HDD Recovery Services I understand, do what you can for the time being. Your data recovery seems very intriguing and the editing does not take away from your skill but just from a viewing perspective makes it a bit hard to take everything in. Thanks for the reply I hope to be able to do this type of work some time and I'll check here for advice and guidance.

    So how does MRTLAB Ultra read the service area via the sata connector? It knows some secret cmd to send? I know Seagates and their system area can be read through the special diag serial port, but doing it via sata would be easier. Answer is its a secret that only mrtlab and a few others know...

      MRT is what I have in the laminar flow cabinet, so it's easy I don't have to adjust settings for light on camera.

      I have had the MRT ultra for 6 months but have not yet had any issues imaging channel to channel. I typically only use two channels at once, perhaps the issue would happen if I used all 4 channels at the same time.

    • @hddrecoveryservices
      @hddrecoveryservices  6 лет назад

      Don Jagoe you mean when software starts? And you select how many channels you want to include?

    • @donaldjagoe
      @donaldjagoe 6 лет назад

      Yes. I only use two channels so I uncheck ATA2 and ATA3 (keep ATA0 and ATA1 checked of course) when the "please select interface" windows pops up. I read somewhere that the MRT Ultra although designed for four channels it doesn't work well when using all 4 channels at the same time so I only use all four when I really need to. If you continue to get errors using ATA0 and ATA1, try ATA2 and ATA3 only to see if they work better. Hopefully there is no issue with your MRT card. If you ever want to log onto mine to see if my MRT Ultra behaves differently just let me know and I can contact you and grant you access through TeamViewer if you like. Appreciate the great videos by the way.
