If you love nature you should visit Cascate di Acquafraggia e Val di Mello, one of the most beautiful alpine valleys. Both places are situated over the lake, about 30 km far from Colico.

Just fly into Milan, catch a train that let's you off right on the edge of twon and then just chill out, hop on an off the ferries, eat, relax, repeat. Then you'll be ready to dive into the more intense parts of your trip to Italy!

I was in Como in September of 2022 for the day from Milano. Easy to get there by train. Definitely a must see.

filmed October 2022, now recent floods have done some damage to a tunnel, which was along the road SP 72 in Varenna on the Lecco shore of Lake Como.
