Enjoyed the video. I had the dealer install the SE Stage 3 on my 18 RGS 107. I added the SE Street Canon slips one and SE hi flow AC. I ended up with 120 TQ and 115 HP. That's plenty!
Yup, I have a stage 3 on my streetglide speacil! I got the torque cam! I'm like you with the warranty. I waiting on it to expire then I'm putting another cam and different tuner on it! All in all I am happy with the current performance. I put a few unsuspecting CVO's to shame lol!
What's up Ron how have you been? I'm in the process of of doing a stage 3 122 on my 23 roadglide special. But have a tuff time picking an air breather. There are two I like SE heavy breather not sure if it will get enough air. And SE heavy breather extreme which will be plenty but is open on the front I'm worried about bugs and trash going through the intake.what do you think? Thank you
Hey Darrin - good questions. I’ve liked my Arlen Ness monster sucker, but I think Noe I’d go with a different style that wasn’t completely exposed. I haven’t had trouble with bugs, but I did learn an important lesson about rain. ruclips.net/video/dZuTQb2V9F0/видео.html If you go with one that has sufficient surface area you shouldn’t have a performance hit. And I’ll also say - consider Stage IV. If I had it to do over I’d seriously consider that. I love Stage IIi but I would have gotten a lot more with IV. You might also consider a non-Harley kit or build, just to see all your options. But, if you want the MoCo warranty, the SE kit is the way to go. Let me know what you decide!
@@RonsWorkshop Thanks Ron I seen you video about the rain. I'm still under warranty so SE will what's best for me. But when warranties up I plan to go with a different tuner and cam. And will consider the stage iv. Thanks again
I’ve got the Spruce Street Bob (June 2020) Stage 1, however I went for khaki green exhaust wraps instead of the heat protectors, forward pedals, heavy breather and V&H slip-ons, Hollywood bars , after market black bobber saddle, the bike looks super 👍, it’s got that old messenger look, riding position is awesome, I’m 6ft and have happily ridden over 6 hours (plus tank stops) comfortably. I was getting kitted up to ride from my hometown in the South of the UK , down through France 🇫🇷 taking in the Alps and on to Italy 🇮🇹 camping along the way........unfortunately a certain pandemic put a halt to that !!! Here’s to many more rides , have fun !!!
Your bike sounds awesome! If you use Instagram tag me in some pics and if you want a sticker DM me the mailing address :) @RonsWorkshop You can also use the Facebook page facebook.com/RonsWorkshopPage/ Thanks for watching and sharing the details about your Street Bob! Teaser: I finally got my shorty levers and I’ll be posting the first video in the next day or so. I hope you get to take that road trip soon!
Your bike sounds Great 👍. I have a pretty new road glide but it has the 107 but I did just do a stage two with the torque cam. I added both screaming eagle tuner’s to the bike also. And man does a cam wake that motor up. But I too am probably going to wait to go any further with it until the factory warranty is out. And then I will most likely go to a zippers sleeper 117 kit. With the 468 Cam.
Thanks! Yeah, the Milwaukee 8 seems to be a great platform for building power. How much time do you have left on your warranty? I've got just over a year left on mine. Let me know how the Zipper 117 goes if you end up going that route.
My new streetbob has the 114 from stock! My goodness I don’t think I’ll be needing any power upgrades for awhile. The torque is insane on such a light bike. I guess my 165lb frame helps as well. Haha
I have a Stage 2 kit with a TBR 2 into 1 with a SE Extreme Flow air cleaner, SE pro street tuner and the Torque cam. The bike really wakes up after the Stage 2, the Stage 1 doesn’t really do much but when you do the cam you can feel a difference in performance, sound and it just runs smoother than stock form. I’d love to do a Stage 3 or a 131ci drop in, but that’s a bit expensive and I don’t think I want to drop that much $$$ into the bike. I think the next things I’ll do is suspension upgrades, and hopefully in a few years to get a Road King Special, Street Glide or Road Glide for my long trips and keep the Street Bob for around town and for my girl to ride or friends if they wanted to ride with me and don’t have a bike. BTW, your bike sounds GREAT! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Hey Mr. Sharp - one of my next upgrades is exhaust - all I read says the 2 into 1 is the way to go! How do you like it? If you want a channel sticker send me a DM on Instagram with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop
@@RonsWorkshop I really like it, I got the TBR Comp-S in black. I really wanted the TBR Turnout in black but they are back ordered, when they come back in stock I think I’m going to still buy it and sell my Computer-S that’s literally brand new. But it sounds great and that Stage 2 wakes the bike up. I’m going to make a video on the new mods I’ve done to my bike.

So Harley has announced that the 131 is going to be available for select Softails. I’m checking into that :) If anyone has tried the 128 or 131 kit or crate motor please add a comment with the details.
Hey Tex - that’s correct. I went that route with my Stage III so I could have it covered by the original H-D warranty, even with a few non-Harley parts.
Hey Tex - I’m about to do a follow-up video soon. I’ll let you know when I post it - probably in a few weeks. Overall I’m still very pleased but now I also know there’s a lot more to be had :)
Nope, they didn’t recommend any changes to the cam plate or oil pump. I run it pretty hard and haven’t had any issues at all. I’ve got about 4,000 miles on the Stage III so far.
@@RonsWorkshop Does that help with the oil blow by? I am having problems with oil getting all over my side plate coming from the teardrop air filter. I mean have heard it helps but does it really?
That's a great question. I have not calculated it, but I need to refuel right now. When I do, I will calculate the consumption and post it here once I use at least half the tank. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much, I ask it just to see if the motorcycle is still usable for every day riding, like go to work or long travels, or it's better to use it just for fun. Thanks a lot for the answer
For me it’s still very practical and usable for daily travel. Most of my riding is daily commuting to work or 1-3 hour enjoyment rides. It behaves well when riding easy and it steps up to the challenge when I twist the throttle. I filled up yesterday on my way home, so I’ll calculate MPG once I get some miles on, this tank and post that here :)
Quick update: I just calculated the MPG for the last fill-up and I ended up with 36. That was with a mix of “normal” riding for me. Some commuting, short pleasure rides, and one highway rip, and I don’t baby it. I’ll do a couple more fill-ups with different riding styles and post the full results in a follow up video. Thanks again for the great question!
Hey Andrea - I just posted a full video about the Stage III fuel economy and added an image of your comment/question near the beginning: ruclips.net/video/iOZ9G3-eQYU/видео.html Thanks for the idea!

Hey Loco Ocho - here in Florida the slip-ons are legal, not sure about other states. I really love the setup and the Stage III does really well. If you go with the monster sucker intake be sure to get a rain sock! You can see why here: ruclips.net/video/dZuTQb2V9F0/видео.html I’m sure you’ll love it when you put it all together! And if you want a sticker send me a DM on Telegram, Instagram or Signal with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop Happy new year!
How does it handle on the freeways, meaning the grooves in the pavement/ cement ? Cuz the tires are thin. I heard there not good on highway. Plus the Street Bob isn't good for long trips cuz the shocks?
Hey Loco Ocho - I haven't had any issues with tires...no handling issues for me and I'm still on the factory rubber (but that's just my perception). In my opinion, the Street Bob is definitely NOT good for long trips. I haven't had issues with the shock, but there is no hiding from the wind since there is no fairing at all (especially with the ape hangers), and the fuel tank is only 3.5 gallons. But the Stage III gets her down the road with no problems :) I love the performance, even with stock Stage III, but there's a lot more available and I'm about to start unlocking that.
Ron's Workshop I love the stage 2; just that my factory tires do not like it so much .. lol .. I went with the torque cam ... I have a video of what I have done to my bike so far .. 2020 street bob .. keep up the good work on the videos 👌🏽👍🏼🇺🇸
You’d get more flexibility with Power Vision because you would not be tied to the Harley-Davidson tunes. With some other changes (like a full exhaust system for example) you’d most certainly get more power. With Power Vision you’d also have a lot more flexibility and the ability to make adjustments on the fly. I found this article that may be helpful: www.dynojet.com/blog/power-vision-2019-harley-davidson-support/ I’m an enthusiast like you and I just work on my own projects, so I’m not in a position to give you an estimate. Let me know how it goes!
There are plenty of places offering extended warranties on bikes with aftermarket parts as long as the cam isn’t over .550 lift, and the parts are installed and tuned by an licensed shop.
Hey Harry - great question. It is not required for Stage 3. In fact, it will void the warranty if you change the head pipe. BUT - with the right tune you'd no doubt get more power if you swapped out the head pipe too. Once my warranty expires I plan to do a full exhaust swap and some other things.
I got a Softail Slim, going Stage 1. Would move on stage 2 or 3, but need to recoup on what I just bought. It’s new so got the 2 years warranty and invested in Extended Plan, I am okay. For a while I thought I should have saved on not buying ESP, but not mechanical at all, so I want professional persons working on my bike.
Hey Joe congrats on the Slim! I get it totally. You can enjoy the stage 1 and as you put miles on it determine if you really want to go beyond that. And I can definitely appreciate the ESP. Hey Jared. - it took a little breaking in when it was new but I like it. My only complaint is that there is nothing to keep me from sliding back, so when I get on the throttle it scoots me back a little. My legs are long so it’s no big problem. I also do shorter rides, almost always less than three hours, so I haven’t spent all day on the seat. These were done by Mother Road Customs.
Hey MrFunnyman1130 I get about 34 mpg with stage 3. I’m working on a video with more details and I’ll post it here when done, so be on the lookout for that. Not sure about stage 2 mileage. Are you considering one of the stage kits?
@@RonsWorkshop im weighong quite a few different options but right now i can squeeze 200 miles on the hwy which is where i like tp ride most. But weighing options still
Yeah with the small 3.5 gallon tank on my FXBB and stage 3 I only have about 130 miles total range, but I normally refuel when I get down to 30 mile range - so I really only have about 100 mile range lol Let me know what you end up!

Hey fjdnrhfh - when I did mine, I had to have it done within 60 days of purchasing the bike. (That is if I wanted them to do the work AND have it covered by the factory warranty.) Check with your dealer to make sure nothing has changed with this policy. And let me know what you decide!
Hey Drain Monkeys - I’ve really enjoyed the Stage III kit, but there are definitely lots of options out there. If I had it to do over I’d probably go even more aggressive, like Stage IV, a non-Harley kit, or a custom build by someone like Kevin Baxter - budget permitting, of course! Let me know what you decide…
Hey Eric - sounds good! I’ve only seen one other Street Bob around and that was up in Fernandina. You obviously have good taste :) If you use Instagram shoot me a DM @RonsWorkshop
Hey SooperFerneE - it was included with the bike at no extra cost. Two years unlimited mileage, and since I had them add stage III in the first 60 days that was also included in the two-year warranty. Which kit are you interested in? Let me know what you decide.
Have you had any problem with the clutch slipping. Would you recommend upgraded clutch springs? I’m in the middle of a stage three right now with a 2018 FXBB too. I love your channel.
Hey Chris - no problems with slippage BUT the dealer upgraded the springs when they installed the Stage 3. Thanks for the feedback and let me know what you end up doing with the clutch. If you want a channel sticker send me a DM on Instagram with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop
Hey TTJ BigGunner - It was about $5200 for everything. Stage 3, intake, slip ons, pro street tuner, clutch springs, and labor. It’s worth considering Stage IV or possibly the 128/131 kit, or even a custom build by by someone like Kevin Baxter. If I had it to do over I’d probably go with one of the other options I mentioned, if the budget would allow it. BUT Stage III is great, so don’t misinterpret this is dissatisfaction. Just considering options :)
Hey Snake Bite - Yeah, that's definitely an option now. At the time the 114 wasn't even on the horizon, and even still the Stage III gives a lot more output than the stock 114.
I have a 2020 Electra Glide Standard. I had the SE Stage 1 and Stage 2 kit with the Torque Cam all installed at the same time costing about $2200 after a $600 discount from the VIP coupons. My question is: How much will it now cost me if i were to upgrade to a SE Stage 3 kit?
Hey Eddie that’s a great question. None of the parts overlap between the stage 2 and 3 kits so you’d end up needing the full stage 3 SE kit. You’d also want different slip ons and intake if you haven’t already swapped them out, and you’d have to have the SE pro street tuner too. For me all-in the stage 3 kit was around $5500 (ouch). But check with your dealer to be sure. Would you do the work or have them do it? My cost included the labor as well as intake, exhaust, and upgraded clutch springs.
Hey Chris - unfortunately I didn’t get any dB comparisons but I can tell you it’s a night and day difference. It was basically quiet before the Stage III and anything but quiet after Stage III. Of course, the slip ons have a lot to do with that, but I suspect most any exhaust that has good flow will be substantially louder than stock.
@@RonsWorkshop I’ve got the SE447 stage 2 torque cam with Rinehart slip ons and I really like the volume level and sound. I’ll have to try and find out how much louder stage 3 would be (which is probably impossible) I had the S&S 475c cam and that was way too loud for me. It was about 5-6Db louder than the SE447 which to the human ear is about twice the perceived volume
@@Crowbar381 I am getting the stage 3 done currently, got the S&E slip ons, but stock headers. stage 2 with torque cm is plenty loud when you give it some.. almost worried now that it will be to crazy.. lol.. guess find out soon :)
Lol good question. 150 lb. heavier with 17 more cubic inches. Believe me, I've been dreaming about the 131 on mine...looking for a way to make that happen :)
Yeah 131 has got my eye and just was curious because compared to my street bob 114ci just not sure how I would do against a Friend and his beast road king
@@corydiprose1620 Actually with the 114 I could only go to the 128 without splitting the cases and changing the stroke (since it started as a 107)...hmmm...
Yes, the Stage 3 kit adds more across the board. With Stage III you get displacement bumped up to 114 ci, compression bumped to 11:1, the more aggressive SE8-498 cam, and you may also get more benefits based on intake and exhaust changes as well. If you don't already have a tuner, you'd have to have that for Stage III. Any tuner other than the Harley Pro Street Tuner will void the Harley factory warranty. Would you please tell me how much it cost to have the dealer put the stage 3 on your motorcycle? I am thinking about doing the stage 3 to my 2021 street glide special. Thanks
Hey Bobby - for parts and labor it was around $5,300. Let me know what you decide - I’ve really enjoyed Stage III. Of course, there are plenty of non-HD options out there, but they’d void the warranty. You should also consider Stage IV depending on your riding style. If I had it to do over I’d seriously consider Stage IV.
Hey H Torres - You’d get more cubic inches and a more aggressive cam so you’d definitely notice a difference. Is it worth it? Only you can make that call. It would be worth checking on other performance kits too - like S&S or Fueling. You can probably get more bang for your buck that way, even without the piston and cylinder swap. Maybe, just maybe. I’m about to post another video about that idea of non-Harley performance alternatives to Stage III & IV. Let me know what you decide!
It’s my understanding that 2019 and other years have an ECM limit of like 110 or something like that - I bump 100 occasionally but not very often. I’ve not tried making it out to hit the ECM limit. I can tell you it pulls hard even in 6th gear and I never have any issues at high interstate speeds.
That's the painful part - Harley labor for the Stage III Kit is around $2300. That includes labor for the engine parts, heavier clutch springs, intake, slip-ons, and new ECU map.
Hey Elliot - I think your seeing the oil pressure gauge on the right rocker cover? That’s a Marshall 0-60 psi gauge. I pieced together my own kit rather than using an existing one.
@@RonsWorkshop I was referring to the digital gauge between the handle bars; assuming it’s a Speedo or tach?? It’s zoomed in on at 1:00 in. I just can’t seem to find it googlin

Let me know what you end up with if you swap it out. Tag me on Instagram @RonsWorkshop
I know, right! I wish I’d have gone with stage 4. Originally I didn’t because the power band rpm range is so much higher, but having ridden stage 3 for about a year I now know stage 4 would be fine. If you can afford it and you don’t mind staying in the higher rpm ranges I vote for stage 4 :) At this point I’m trying to figure out how to get the 131 !
Stage 3 pulls hardest starting at around 2500 rpm and stage 4 will pull hardest at a bit higher rpm range and still pull hard at wide open throttle. That’s my understanding from the reading I’ve done on stage 4. Stage 3 is based on my actual experience. Stage 3 is great for sure, but stage 4 gives even more, but you’ll sacrifice a little of the low end but man it’ll pull hard at the top end.
G Dubb I am so excited to see what I’ll get. Have any recommendations on exhaust? I hear 2>1 is better but I prefer two pipes. If you want a channel sticker send me a DM on Instagram with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop
@@RonsWorkshop you will gain 10% HP & TQ roughly with just a catless head pipe, plus another 10% with a 2into1. 2into2 will limit the gains for sure. D&D 2into1 or Bassani road rage3 would be great options. I know a lot more about TC motors than M8s. My 06 Street Bob has a V&H pro pipe on it and I love it. 2into1 units look better on Street Bobs imho but I really like the look of your ride bro.
@@RonsWorkshop u bet. Both have shown great dyno results on a setup like yours with pro retunes. If you want to keep double pipes you could consider doing a 2-1-2 setup, which would capture some of the 2into1 benefits and give you a 2 pipe exit. Fuel Moto makes a good 2-1-2 head pipe and im sure there are others. 🤘

@@RonsWorkshop I have it on my bike. It uses wide band O2 sensors. You load a map from the Screaming Eagle pro street tuner. The only thing different is that the auto tune pro stays on the motorcycle and changes the map as you ride.
Hey Jeffrey - you’re absolutely right. I have hopes to do a good bit more work and drivetrain upgrades are on the list! Are you doing anything with the compensator and clutch?
@@RonsWorkshop No unfortunately, these are repairs to a stock motor drive train and warranty covered thank goodness. My 2019 Road King has 27,000 miles on it and every 10,000 miles or so it’s been in the shop for major work. Last year the engine was completely torn down and rebuilt and this year it’s the transmission took a dive. The drivetrain on these machines is just not designed to take the intense torque these engines put out. Unfortunately for me my warranty needs to stay in place so I cannot do upgrades to my drive train due to the fact that if I have a future failure warranty will not cover it and it will be on my dime which is scary. I did however pull the stock primary chain tensioner out and replace it with a baker.

If you own a M8 like my 2018 Fatbob, 2017 and 2019 CVOs don't waste money on Harley stage kits. The engine will blow up due to oil pump design flaws and/or plastic tappet guides. Yeah and $50k motorcycle with plastic tappet guides. Neither the dealer who installs it or H corp office will disclose this. S&S, Fueling or Zipper all make higher quality performance kits.
Hey Mark - those are some good points. I will say my 2019 Street Bob is Rick solid with zero sumping issues whatsoever. But yes, I have plastic tapper guides like everyone else :( At least for now! I also agree that there are plenty of options for non-Harley upgrades that will give even better results. Live and learn. More on that in future videos.
Had the dealer informed about the flaws I would have gladly paid extra to replace the components while the stage 3 was being installed. Instead, it blew up on the freeway. Now my 2019 CVO is an S&S 128ci with upgraded oil pump/cam set bearings, billet tappet guides, head bolts etc and Dark Horse compensator. Rock solid 149hp 155lbs torque.
Enjoyed the video. I had the dealer install the SE Stage 3 on my 18 RGS 107. I added the SE Street Canon slips one and SE hi flow AC. I ended up with 120 TQ and 115 HP. That's plenty!

I haven’t had trouble with bugs, but I did learn an important lesson about rain. ruclips.net/video/dZuTQb2V9F0/видео.html
If you go with one that has sufficient surface area you shouldn’t have a performance hit.

Thanks for watching and sharing the details about your Street Bob!
I have another year left on mine also. I guess I’ll just have to be patient 😖
You and me both!
My new streetbob has the 114 from stock! My goodness I don’t think I’ll be needing any power upgrades for awhile. The torque is insane on such a light bike. I guess my 165lb frame helps as well. Haha
Hey HDguy48 - that’s great! The only substitute for cubic inches is MORE cubic inches. I really enjoy my Street Bob.

So Harley has announced that the 131 is going to be available for select Softails. I’m checking into that :)
If anyone has tried the 128 or 131 kit or crate motor please add a comment with the details.
Just a heads up. If a Harley Davidson dealer installs the stage 3. And use HD parts. It won't void the warranty
Hey Tex - that’s correct. I went that route with my Stage III so I could have it covered by the original H-D warranty, even with a few non-Harley parts.
@@RonsWorkshop Sweet. Do you have a updated review/video after the stage 3?
Hey Tex - I’m about to do a follow-up video soon. I’ll let you know when I post it - probably in a few weeks. Overall I’m still very pleased but now I also know there’s a lot more to be had :)
The crate motor is a turd. My M8 streetglide CVO has the S&S 128ci kit and makes 149hp 155lbs torque. A lot more than the 131ci
Did Harley recommend a new cam plate and oil pump to go with this kit? Any problems since the install?
Nope, they didn’t recommend any changes to the cam plate or oil pump. I run it pretty hard and haven’t had any issues at all. I’ve got about 4,000 miles on the Stage III so far.
Feuling has some good performance parts.
Yeah I like their vented dipstick. I’m considering that for mine.
@@RonsWorkshop Does that help with the oil blow by? I am having problems with oil getting all over my side plate coming from the teardrop air filter. I mean have heard it helps but does it really?

Hi Nice video! what are the real fuel consumption of the stage 3 motorcycle?

Sounds amazing ... I went with a stage 2 kit only when I bought mine ... should have went with the stage 3 😭.. 👍🏼🇺🇸...

Would I get more power from my 2019 street bob stage 3 with power vision tuner could you give me an estimate
You’d get more flexibility with Power Vision because you would not be tied to the Harley-Davidson tunes. With some other changes (like a full exhaust system for example) you’d most certainly get more power. With Power Vision you’d also have a lot more flexibility and the ability to make adjustments on the fly. I found this article that may be helpful:
www.dynojet.com/blog/power-vision-2019-harley-davidson-support/
I’m an enthusiast like you and I just work on my own projects, so I’m not in a position to give you an estimate.
Let me know how it goes!
There are plenty of places offering extended warranties on bikes with aftermarket parts as long as the cam isn’t over .550 lift, and the parts are installed and tuned by an licensed shop.
That’s good to know - thanks for passing along the info!
I have 2020 street glide special 114 getting stage 3 soon. Do you have to change the header pipe do you know.
Hey Harry - great question. It is not required for Stage 3. In fact, it will void the warranty if you change the head pipe. BUT - with the right tune you'd no doubt get more power if you swapped out the head pipe too. Once my warranty expires I plan to do a full exhaust swap and some other things.
Badass set up !!!
Thanks Xi Degel!
I got a Softail Slim, going Stage 1. Would move on stage 2 or 3, but need to recoup on what I just bought. It’s new so got the 2 years warranty and invested in Extended Plan, I am okay. Like the seat, how uncomfortable is it? Worst than stock?
Ive git a question... hows the gas mileage? Whats the gas mileage on a stage 2 abd stage 3?
Hey MrFunnyman1130 I get about 34 mpg with stage 3. I’m working on a video with more details and I’ll post it here when done, so be on the lookout for that. Not sure about stage 2 mileage. Are you considering one of the stage kits?
@@RonsWorkshop im weighong quite a few different options but right now i can squeeze 200 miles on the hwy which is where i like tp ride most. But weighing options still

Is there a time that I need to wait, before going back to dealership for stage 1,2, or 3?
Hey fjdnrhfh - when I did mine, I had to have it done within 60 days of purchasing the bike. (That is if I wanted them to do the work AND have it covered by the factory warranty.) Check with your dealer to make sure nothing has changed with this policy. And let me know what you decide!
I’m 2 weeks into my street Bob.. I’m thinking of doing same …. I’m concerned about the cam…. I would prefer the S&S
Hi Ron.. loved the vids.. it looks like you live in Jax.. l am in Jax as well with a FXBB.. let me know if you want to ride sometimes..

How long is the warranty. And how much more did it cost
Hey SooperFerneE - it was included with the bike at no extra cost. Two years unlimited mileage, and since I had them add stage III in the first 60 days that was also included in the two-year warranty. Which kit are you interested in? Let me know what you decide.
@@RonsWorkshop im interested in the stage 3. Sorry my wording was confusing. But how much more was the stage 3 on top lf the bike?
Ah - that’s the painful part. It was about $5200 for everything. Stage 3, intake, slip ons, pro street tuner, clutch springs, and labor.
@@RonsWorkshop thats hefty! But well worth it. Thanks for the speedy response. Happy New Years!

I thinks about the stage 3 can you tell me how much was it all together I can't realy fined anything on pricing
Seems like the more expensive way to go, i would have just got the bike new with a 114
Hey Snake Bite - Yeah, that's definitely an option now.
Did you take any decibel readings before and after stage 3? I’m wondering how much louder it gets
I’ll have to try and find out how much louder stage 3 would be (which is probably impossible)
I had the S&S 475c cam and that was way too loud for me. It was about 5-6Db louder than the SE447 which to the human ear is about twice the perceived volume
Interesting! I’m surprised there was such a drastic difference between the cams using the same slip ons.
@@Crowbar381 I am getting the stage 3 done currently, got the S&E slip ons, but stock headers. stage 2 with torque cm is plenty loud when you give it some.. almost worried now that it will be to crazy.. lol.. guess find out soon :)
Just a question this kit on the bob vs a 800lb road king special 131ci 🤣🤣 who would win
Another question I already have a stage 2 power in my street bob will I notice a difference with this kit.

Just bought a used 2017 . Have you noticed a difference in top speed as well?
It’s my understanding that 2019 and other years have an ECM limit of like 110 or something like that - I bump 100 occasionally but not very often. I’ve not tried making it out to hit the ECM limit. I can tell you it pulls hard even in 6th gear and I never have any issues at high interstate speeds.
Labor cost?
That's the painful part - Harley labor for the Stage III Kit is around $2300. That includes labor for the engine parts, heavier clutch springs, intake, slip-ons, and new ECU map.

@@RonsWorkshop no i i dont.im in california. They suck ass. No codes tunes nothing.not even screamin eagles has anything....
What are those seats? And passage seat?
Hey Admin Amin I had the solo seat and pillion made by Mother Road Customs. The seat was actually the first stock part I replaced. I’ve been very happy with it.
@@RonsWorkshop was it just plug and play when you got the solo seat or did you have to do any special welding for the solo seat installation?
I also got their installation kit so it came with everything to swap it out. I think I did have to get one of the threaded nutsert things for the pillion but the seat kit included everything for installing the solo seat with the springs. Let me know what you end up with if you swap it out. Tag me on Instagram @RonsWorkshop
How much did it cost?
Hey Chris - with parts and HD labor it was about $5300.
Thank you very much!
Still debating if I need to go S3 or S4.... killin me.... lol
I know, right! I wish I’d have gone with stage 4. Originally I didn’t because the power band rpm range is so much higher, but having ridden stage 3 for about a year I now know stage 4 would be fine. If you can afford it and you don’t mind staying in the higher rpm ranges I vote for stage 4 :)
At this point I’m trying to figure out how to get the 131 !
@@RonsWorkshop so s4 is good for higher RPM vs S3 is for good in lower RPM? I am confused 😕
@@RonsWorkshop i see...some recommend s3n some for s4. I live in California so s4 not available for softail as I heard....
Ahh...well stage iii is still great and I’m sure you’d love it. I know I do!
You're going to be shocked when you can finally put on a freer exhaust. The M8 is very pipe dependent.
Woo hoo! Love it. I’ll check out all of those pipes - thanks for the info!
Once again, thank you for the info! I’ll let you know what I end up with. Probably won’t be until summer but that’ll be here before we know it.
you sound like Billy Bob Thorton
Hey John - yeah, I get that all the time lol. Welcome to the channel!
Don't forget about the Auto Tune Pro...
Hey Paul - the Screamin' Eagle one? I wonder how well they work. Have you used one? It sounds like it would work well. I also wonder if it can do a more aggressive tune for stage iii / stage iv etc.

@@RonsWorkshop I have it on my bike. It uses wide band O2 sensors. You load a map from the Screaming Eagle pro street tuner. The only thing different is that the auto tune pro stays on the motorcycle and changes the map as you ride.
Very nice! Can you feel the difference now that it has optimized the tune?
@@RonsWorkshop i can feel a bit of a difference. It will constantly improve as I ride more. It also takes care of the dtc.
@@RonsWorkshop It works with all the stages. Shadetree Surgeon is using it for his stage 4 131 kit on his Road King.
Next is the drive train don’t skip the drive train….. my bike is getting a complete bearing change in the trans….
Man that’s tough. I’m glad to hear you’re covered by the warranty!! Fortunately I haven’t had any issues with mine.

But yes, I have plastic tapper guides like everyone else :(
At least for now!
You’ve ended up with a solid power plant!
