Clean, organized and consistent makes great loads ! Nice setup, great video. I prefer a placemat or doormat (Walmart) on my bench however. That pink towel is what I buff my car with
LOL! The towel does a great job of not allowing dropped shot to roll off the table. I guess I could have picked a better color though. It was an old towel the wife gave me.
Question for you sir. Can I use the same load data for #9 tss in a 3inch and put same load in 2.5 inch. Using cheddite hulls and TPS 410 wads? Seems to me 11/16 of #9 would fit
Actually you just gave me a great idea. I am going to live by hunting. What I need is a black powder muzzle loading double gun. Perfectly effective on grouse. I had a 12mm cheap Spanish smoothbore when I was a kid that worked fine on short range grouse.
@2:50 when grabbing the wad you mention "your components are already pre put in there for the video" What components are put into the wad before you put the wad in the hull?
GO JACKETS! Awesome video. Are the cork and felt just used to take up the extra room in the shot column or used to cushion the shot or do they have another purpose?
Have you ever ran into an issue when roll crimping where the part you crimped comes out slightly discolored? My crimps seem to come out fine, but cant get it to stop looking like that.
@@Darrell.D I tried, but it looks like my press is set at the lowest RPM, which is 600. I see some guys lube the end of the hulls, I'm wondering if that would help.
@@Darrell.D I did, didnt seem to help. However, I may try again...maybe i didnt put it on the correct spot on the crimper. Might try both the crimper and the hull and see what happens.
Buy a stick of tps edge lube. Its a wax lube. Warm your roll crimp die then apply wax so it is liquid. Roll crimps beautifully. Also get a gaep roll crimp(4pin) and not the simgle pin bpi roll crimp die.
Whatever gauge of shotgun you’re loading is the size roll crimp tool you would use. That’s pretty self explanatory. I’m also not going to give any of the load data to anyone per an agreement with my shot supplier who spent time and money coming up with this specific load. So no, there is no more to be shared. That’s the process I use for loading TSS.
So you are the first video I've seen that did not use mylar which i cant understand because i beleave shot stays in the wad until it leaves barrel maybe you have some insight. Thanks GREAT VIDEO short and sweet alot of food for thought. THANKS!
Thanks Mylar Wraps line the interior of a wad to protect pellets from penetrating the wad wall and to keep them from escaping the wad slit. They add an extra layer of barrel protection when loading steel or hard tungsten-alloy pellets.

01foreman400 how far will a pound of say #9 s get me? Just starting out and not sure how much I should order. Planning on 3.5” or 3” 12ga and or 2-3/4” 16ga to start and get a good load/choke combo. Is 1 or 2 lbs a waist of time to just get some shells for myself? Thanks
When I buy my shot from individuals they supply me with the load data. They personally come up with and have the load data tested. This process isn’t cheap. In turn they ask that I don’t share it. I’m a man of my word and have never shared any load data. So if you want load data you need to get with a reputable TSS supplier who can guide you in the right direction. Please don’t let your 5 year old load your ammo. LOL
Great video. Thanks for this. Thinking of trying some #9 tss for turkey season this upcoming spring.
One of the first videos. I remember watching this one in 2018 when I got started
Excellent video. Thanks! I want to start reloading my own turkey loads. This was helpful.

No. You’d have to use a different recipe.
Well done presentation! I really enjoyed watching your system.
What if my crimp is the star one instead of a rolling one? Do I just skip the overshot card?
Yes you would skip the overshot card if doing a fold crimp.
Where did you get whe bit for the roll press
I bought it over 6 years ago so I honestly don’t remember. You can buy them at Precision Reloading or Ballistics Products though.

Why blackpowder when nitro powder is widely available, bettern cleaner, not corrosive, and sometimes cheaper than black powder?
What kind of buffer vibrator is that?
It’s a dental vibrator that I bought off of eBay.
Do you not use Mylar inside the wad?
The VP90 wad does not require Mylar due to its thickness and durability like other wads.
HOW MUCH DO YOU FIGURE IT WOULD COST SOMEONE FROM SCRATCH TO LOAD TSS?? I DO HAVE A MEC 600 JR. USEFUL OR USELESS?
@2:50 when grabbing the wad you mention "your components are already pre put in there for the video" What components are put into the wad before you put the wad in the hull?
Trey Oliver on this particular load it's cork and felt.
GO JACKETS! Awesome video. Are the cork and felt just used to take up the extra room in the shot column or used to cushion the shot or do they have another purpose?
Austin Norton, yes
Why use buffer? The TSS isn't going to get damaged or distorted. Just wondering...
DONDI BIERMEYER, it’s a filler mainly.
Have you ever ran into an issue when roll crimping where the part you crimped comes out slightly discolored? My crimps seem to come out fine, but cant get it to stop looking like that.

Great video D! This stuff beats anything out there! It will flat slam a gobbler! Jody
How do you resize them without a press?
You use new hulls every time. No reloads.
I'm going to call you the shotgun sniper with that high level of reloading.
Are these cheditte hulls?
Southern states Fishing, Federal

Do you mind me asking where you got your powder/scale pans and your funnel from? I’ve been looking all over for those types.
scott corsale, they came with the scales I purchased. You can buy them at MidwayUSA.
Could you tell me how you do your wad column?
Steve Doty, each load calls for different components.

That particular wad is a lot thicker than most wads. Therefore it does not require mylar.

Where can I find information about what charges everybody's using for there 12 gauges. With TSS?
keith henline, I get all the information from the TSS shot supplier.
@@Darrell.D is there published loads stating what powder, wads, buffer, and primers to use with which hull? Just call TSS manufactures an ask?

You ever had a shell not unroll?
I have not.
What kind and size wad did you use?
Hey man great video. Question what wad are you using. And did you use new shells or cut down used. Not sure if I need a press??
Georgia sportsman, VP90 wads and brand new hulls.
What powder and grain are you using?
The powder I was using in this video was Winchester 296. I'm not going to give the weight of the powder out due to it's not my recipe.
Where did you get your scale pans?
Pseaxe611 Cedartown1 they came with the scales when I bought them.
What powder have you found best for TSS ?
Manchap karM I just go by the recipes provided from the shot source. I use several and they have been tested for PSI.
Ahh right so the recipe come with the shot ? Thank you nice vid.
Manchap karM yes
ok ill see how much it will be sent to the UK
Does any buffer work

What is the buffer and where can I get it
vermontboy 802, it's spherical shotshell buffer made by Precision Reloading.
Send me the links to your tools! Enjoyed and wanting to do my own
Why can't you just use 1 shot AA hulls or Winchester hulls?
Because I roll crimp.

facebook, yes, not so much on the forums, as of yet anyways.

how does one figure out how much buffer goes with this info?/
The person you buy the shot from would give you that information. I don’t share TSS load recipes that other shot suppliers share with me.
