The dispersed camping on the bluff in the Badlands region is an absolute must for anyone traveling the Wall area. During our 2019 Alaska Road Trip, we boon-docked on that bluff and it was windy during our stay, as well. The scenery and quietness is amazing. If you luck up on a spot away from others, the solitude is so peaceful. We loved out stay! Your videos are so informative. Keep them coming!
Thanks for watching! Yes, The Wall was amazing. We wished we had gone "left" to a less populated zone but it was nevertheless worth it. Funny, the video footage doesn't show the downward slope we were on. I literally considered chaining the Airstream to the truck. It was another reason we didn't spend too much time there.
We need to add that site to our list when we return to South Dakota. We really enjoy Cindy’s cooking segments. Airstreams have very capable kitchens. Michelle made Julia Child’s Beef Bourgeon the other day. 👩🍳 🤤 Thanks again for the great content. 😁
Thanks guys! Cindy appreciates your comment on her cooking segments. We tried stand-alone "Cooking With Cindy" episodes but they did not do well. We think including some footage at the end works...
We just left The Wall this morning after 3 nights. Had a great time and great views. Weather was good but this morning we woke up to heavy fog and colder temps are predicted. Really enjoy your videos, thanks.
Thanks Cotton Tales! It is a really cool place to camp. We did do some star gazing and it was pretty spectacular though the city of Wall does give off some minor light pollution.
Great video! We stopped at Wall for three nights on the way home from Rock Springs. You didn’t video the “real” pharmacy which had collections of ancient apothecary artifacts! I had flashbacks of pharmacy school!
Thanks guys! Bummer - we would have enjoyed that. The city where I went to high school (Heidelberg, Germany) has one of the finest apothecary museums in the world. It would have been fun...
We made a quick stop at Wall drug to buy towels, but have not done dispersed camping yet. Thanks for showing the difference between “instagram” and “reality” hahaha 😂
Thanks for watching! I'm going to make the "Instagram vs. Reality" a segment whenever I can. I think it's important for people to see the "real" side of things...
Stopped at Wall Drug in 1990 after following their signs for miles. Got the free ice water in red solo cups. Went back again in 2002 when we took the kids there. Great spot and plan to go again in the next few years as we travel the country.
I went to Wall Drug in 1972 - big bucket list item. Istill have some signs and my pottery rattlesnake ashtray. I really wanted a Jack-a-lope, but they were too much money. Later, a friend made me a bunny-a-lope - stuffed toy bunny and sewed in deer antlers.
Buffalo! Head to Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons! You’ll notice my wife is back from travel and we’re catching up on your videos. I’m not allowed to watch on my own! 😜
We're glad that your wife is back and you can both watch our videos. We meant to go to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons while we were out west. We assumed we could slide in on a cancellation but that didn't happen. The Robo Bots now snarf up all the sites making impromptu reservations at National Parks near impossible. Next time we will bite the bullet and book a year in advance.
No Buffalo? I can believe it! Did you see any American BISON? They are out there. Not like a zoo. Go find them! Just down the road from where you were boondocking . Head into The Badlands. I was there yesterday and saw a large herd. Or, go to Custer State Park. All the Bison you can handle.
Thanks for watching! Yes, we were not technically correct when we said Buffalo. We know they're out there... We just thought they would be more commonplace...
Thanks for watching! In the 21 years we have been RV'ing, we have never had an issue or concern with theft. We typically leave our grill, chairs, surge protector, etc. outside and they have never been stolen. We do have a red Mastercraft Hitch lock on the rig but that is just a deterrent to the lazy crook. I think the internet blows the security thing out of proportion... Safe travels.

Thanks for watching! Our weather wasn't that great but the beautiful views certainly made up for it. Safe travels.
That was a sweet campsite! What a view and I bet with no clouds the stars would be amazing! Safe travels

Thanks for watching! Total bummer - you got your ice water in Red Solo Cups? That would have added to the Americana 100%. Safe travels.

Thanks for watching Nancy! It was on our list of Americana as well. We were never more excited to have a glass of free ice water!
FYI….the correct term is Bison. My 7 yr old grandson had to set me straight!
Always enjoy your RUclipss. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching and you are correct. Some habits are hard to break...
Very nice How do I find that Boondocking spot with beautiful view?
Thanks for watching! We have a book called "Camping on BLM Lands" but if you search The Wall Boondocking Badlands you should get the location.
Been there 30 years ago.
Love the white hat!
Thanks for watching! Thanks for the compliment on Cindy's hat - that's her "high wind" hat.
The last time that I was at Wall Drug was in 1975.......based on your video, it looks like it got bigger!! : )
Thanks for watching! We hope we brought back a few memories. We knew it would be big but it even surprised us.

Excuse my ignorance. How safe is it to leave your camper there and go explore? Is theft an issue? Our camper is nothing flashy or special.
