- Today I can present to YOU the full Drive & Sound with the 2016 / 2017 Ford Focus RS Mk3 powered by 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine delivering 350 hp and up to 470 Nm of torque through a 6-speed manual and the wicked AWD system. Overall I would have never thought that I would get so much in love with a car as this Focus RS. It's not only about the nice handling and the amazing steering, but also about the comfort you feel in everyday situation driving fast or normal. The car does exactly what you want and is super-easy to life with, drawing a lot more attention than other hyper-hatches of this class! Has anyone tried a 2nd gear launch yet? Will launch control work if you engage 2nd gear instead of first? Launching in 1st gear often translates in wheelspin if the tyre/outside temperatures are low

Sound ist serienmäßig echt hammer 🔊👍da können viel einpacken wie gti (fahr selbst einen) Optik von außen auch ziemlich gelungen🤗 Innenausstattung recaro sitze super geil aber was Lenkrad und Cockpit, schaltknauf angeht wie ein alter Ford noch schade 😭

ein tolles Video @ Automann-TV. Mk 4 ST (280PS) schon sehr geil hab ihn 2 jahre gefahren.der Mk 3 RS ist vielleicht old school..Das sind Welten zwischen den Fahrzeugen.Die guten RS werden weniger und steigen im Preis.

A four cylinder which sounds like an old 911 (at least in higj rpm).
It isn't as deep-sounding as the mk2, but it doesn't sound like a vacuum/hoover.
Focus RS mk2 was 5-cylinder

Mein absolutes Traumauto. Das einzige was man bemängeln könnte wäre die Innenausstattung oder was sagst du dazu?
Also der Innenraum im RS3 oder Golf ist besser aber ich finde den Ford qualitativ schon sehr gut. Die sitze sind sogar besser als das was im Golf oder Audi bekommt, auf einem Niveau mit den Schalensitzen im A45.

I'm swiching from STI to RS because of the laws here I don't want to mod my car anymore and stock for stock the RS is better in every way, as you can hear in this video the exhaust sound is pretty good for a stock exhaust ! I can't hear the boxer engine at all on the sti with stock exhaust only tire and wind noise..Ford at least get what people expect from a fun car
also the engine is better the suspensions are better the modes really change handling (like going from winter to summer tires!) I'm not a fan of the cheap meters and the ford dashboard but whatever to drive the car is better
Cool! I'm with you in those points....the RS sounds very good compared to the STI. But maybe there are even some legal exhaust mods available for the RS in your country.

es gibt einfach kein 4 Zylinder der mich vom Sound überzeugt. Der einzige 4 Zylinder der sich hammer anhört war ein Lotus Esprit oder ein Getunter Mitzubischi Eclipse. Schade der alte Ford Focus RS hatte ein 5 Zylinder drin und der hatte einen mega Sound gehabt.

Hey automann, I was wondering, what do you say to people who won't let you buy a fast car? How can you prove them you'll drive safe with "that speed".
The situation is this, there is a budget for a new vehicle. But for that budget you can buy a hot hatch, which I prefer, is faster, more fun, = more value for money...
if u have the ability to buy it and you want it then get it. simple once you have it then people can't not let you have it

Both will have delivery times of more than a year.....so better decide quickly once the RS is out....or the M2 is sold out;)
My belly tells me to go for an RS - now. However, first I gathered some bad new with regard to the engine's capacity and long-term service. There are even a lot of guys with engine trouble. Secondly, there are rumors for a special european car model (for the MK2 there was an RS500). I would definitely prefer this special model. Do you have any information on that?
I can only say that my RS doesn't have any of those problems at all. 13.000 km and NO oil needed, no cooling liquid drop. Got the newest software update on it and it runs even better:)

That's the wheels spinning instead of the actual speed of the car.
What wheel spin lol? It's 4WD haha. If it was wheel spin it would stay at 40 longer, but as you can see it just continued building speed up right away. Go in a 4wd car and you will understand that 0-40 is instant.
The second he drops the clutch there is a solid connection between engine and wheels. Only things that can absorb that energie without the car moving is RPM drop, slipping clutch or the wheels. Since the tachometer went up to 40 is has to be the wheels. Else stuff will break. Even. 4wd while dropping the clutch from high rpm will spin.

Nice car. But how practical is it? - can you drive around at calm, relaxed speeds? or is the engine always wanting you to drive fast all the time ?
If they offered the Focus ST with this 4WD system I think it would hit BMW/Audi car sales hard. I hope Ford HQ give the OK to other variants. BMW/Audi have become too expensive in the UK - the mid-price proposition is where the market sweet-spot should be.
Robert Smuggles nah man, I test drive one the other day and other than a pretty still suspension, the engine rode pretty sedate and the transmission was a dream. Of coarse it's always tempting to let it loose but it seems to be really good for a daily drive 🙂

Guten Tag, hat hier jemand Erfahrung mit dem Focus RS? Bin momentan am überlegen mir selbst einen zu kaufen,habe jetzt aber in einigen Foren gelesen das viele Probleme mit dem Turbo und anderen Motorteilen hatten. Auch in meinem Bekanntenkreis haben viele Leute Probleme mit Ford. Kann mir das hier jemand bestätigen bzw. negieren? :)

The car sounds great but those fairy exhaust pangs... like someone rattling their nails on a tin-roof. Maybe its the recording quality. Would like to hear it in real life.
