My wife suffers from mental health issues. This song means so much to me because the lyrics resonate with me. When I look at her, these are the things I think to myself. “I see the beauty that you can’t see” - incredible. I love her so much and when she’s having a bad day, she doesn’t see herself like I do. Dermot Kennedy’s lyrics nail how I feel about her in the bad days. Thank you Dermot ❤
Just please be patient with her im bipolar and my husband doesn't understand I can get manic and not control it I take meds see a psychiatrist but ambushes of grief can make u manic he makes me feel crazy treats me bad making it worse my brother sent me this song basically stressing he loved my caos and artistic side he loved me until he died of addiction so I come here listen cry honor my brother and try to get confidence in myself peace and love friend happy holidays

I suffer mental illness, and Dermot is my Antidote, there's days I wanted to give up, and his music comes and saves me, tho sometimes his music makes me cry cause I feel his words so deeply, I'm so vain I think he's singing it to me. All his songs are important in each and every way

We played ‘Outnumbered’ at my Aunty Jo’s funeral on the 2nd October 2023. I miss her so much. She practically raised me. I know she’s out “there somewhere”. Rest in Power, Jo! 💔

Theres no doubt that his songs are healing. I tried to explain it to a friend, only one of many things he didnt understand, that the sentimental songs arent always about love or breakups. I never analysed this song before today, I just had the sense that this song speaks what my father would have sung to me. He passed away from alcohol related damages seven years ago. He was in such a bad state the last twenty years of his life that he was unrecognisable. He never saw who I was, he never saw my beauty, he was never there for me. With this song I feel that he is telling me that he is out there somewhere.

His music comes from somewhere else. Unlike anything I’ve heard. Authentic, original and how the songs change and develop with those instrumentals together with his gravelly voice, it touches the heart. Listening through the album is somewhat of a spiritual experience, moving out of the mundane into peace and love. And we need a lot of that right now. Nice one Dermot ❤️

I have been hooked ever since and any time that I get a notification I can't click on it fast enough. There is something about his energy something about his voice it just speaks to every kind of breath of air. I am finally getting the chance to see him in October and I can't freaking wait!
@@treehugger23I actually discovered him through a Spotify playlist, and the song was Moments Passed which is quite a strange song, and I didn't even like it, but for some reason it stuck with me and I kept going back to it, and now I love it. I'm so jealous that you get to see him live. I'm gonna have to travel to another country to see him. But it'll be worth it.

I never heard Dermot Kennedy until i was invited to Shaun Mendes concert in Edmonton 2021.........i was in my darkest time in my depression....when i heard him sing it actually hit home and I felt the energy in the area. his music helped me after i searched his name then downloaded his songs.....thank you again for giving me hope.
