  • In a province blessed with one of the world's largest supplies of fresh water, it's hard to think in terms of water scarcity. But growing demands on planet Earth's limited supply of water are raising awareness of how little we have to waste and how much energy we use providing water services. Add climate change to the mix and the volatility of water supplies becomes even more pronounced. This panel will focus on opportunities for Ontario to lead the way in developing innovative new technologies that help us use less water while protecting water quality, reducing electricity consumption and associated energy costs, and developing a more sustainable water infrastructure.
Moderator -- Nicholas Parker, Founding Managing Partner, Global Acceleration Partners Inc. Chairman, Cleantech Group Inc. and Corporate Knights Media Ltd.
    Panellists:
    Brian Mergelas, CEO, WaterTap
Barb McMurray, Showcasing Water Innovation Program Lead, Ministry of the Environment
    Randy Cooper, President, Envirologics
Brenda Lucas, Operations Manager, Southern Ontario Water Consortium
