I remember listening to the comedy elements enjoying the laughter as a young person. When I watch the movie now I feel like my brain has been sucked out, stomped on and thrown in the dumpster.
The first time I heard this story was on a cassette tape someone snuck over to my house when I was like 9 years old. The only tales I remember is this one & the one about the titanic.
Yes this is true, Rudy was ahead of his time. It's just that he came out very early and now all of the commedianes (Eddie Murphy, Martin, Dave Chappelle) all pay homage to him. And he likewise is known as the Godfather of rap. Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Easy E, and many more sampled much of his materal. So Rudy was a huge trend setter and a trailblazer that just came out before his time.
Well, Rudy, here is the weekend, this is about the time we'd be talking on the phone; in what was to be our last conversation, I told you how much I valued your friendship for all those years, having absolutely no idea how ill you were getting at the time. Will never forget getting you and LaWanda (Aunt Esther) Page on a 3-way call at work, my coworkers wondering why I was laughing so hard. Never thought I'd be talking to you now in cyberspace; will always miss you, Rudy, thanks for the memories
For decades, I thought this was the original. 😂 Not long ago, I was introduced to the original, where the monkey gets away at the end, and I was highly disappointed.
I was a little white boy in the San Franando Valley working at of all things, a Car Wash and was turned on to Black Culture in 1968 Or 9 Whatever.
